The Truth is Getting Out

Bill Clinton was in his first term as president and planning a re-election campaign.  His administration was swirling in controversy.  Hillary believed he needed help to win, so she contacted James B. Stewart and asked him to write a glowing book about her husband.

Stewart was not a novice.  Before accepting Hillary’s offer, he did some digging and discovered that there was plenty of material to write a book, but it would not be the book that Hillary wanted.

Stewart turned down Hillary’s offer and wrote a book about Bill Clinton without her help.  The title is Blood Sport: The Truth Behind the Scandals in the Clinton White House.

James B. Stewart Bio

Below is Stewart’s bio in the New York Times:

James B. Stewart is a columnist at The New York Times, a staff writer at The New Yorker and the author of nine books.

He won a Pulitzer Prize for explanatory journalism in 1988 for his coverage of the stock market crash of 1987 and the Ivan Boesky insider trading scandal. That and the rise and fall of Michael Milken’s junk bond empire were the subjects of his book “Den of Thieves,” published in 1991.

His book on corporate intrigue at the Walt Disney Company won the Gerald Loeb Award for best business book in 2006.

His weekly New York Times column, “Common Sense,” won the Gerald Loeb Award for distinguished commentary in 2016.

His 2002 book, “Heart of a Soldier,” which traced the life of a single victim of the Sept. 11 attacks, grew out of his New Yorker article “The Real Heroes Are Dead.” “Heart of a Soldier” was named the best nonfiction book of 2002 by Time magazine and was turned into an opera, which premiered in San Francisco in 2011.

“Blind Eye,” an account of a doctor who was a serial killer, won an Edgar Allan Poe Award for nonfiction given by the Mystery Writers of America. Stewart is also the author of “Blood Sport: The President and His Adversaries,” a book about the Clinton White House and the Whitewater affair; “The Partners”; and “The Prosecutors.”

Stewart is also the Bloomberg professor of business journalism at Columbia University.

He has been a staff writer for The New Yorker since 1992 and has written numerous feature stories for magazine, including “Eight Days,” an account of the collapse of Lehman Brothers and ensuing financial crisis. Before joining The New Yorker, he was the front-page editor of The Wall Street Journal from 1988 until 1992 and helped start SmartMoney magazine in 1993.

Before becoming a journalist, Stewart practiced law at the firm of Cravath, Swaine & Moore, in New York. He left the firm after three years, in 1979, to help launch The American Lawyer magazine.

Stewart is a graduate of DePauw University and Harvard Law School. He is a trustee of DePauw, a member of the Carnegie Hall Patron Council and the treasurer of the Authors’ League Fund, which assists writers in need.

He is also an amateur classical pianist who has performed a wide array of solo and chamber music. He lives in Manhattan.

Blood Sport Book Review

Below is a New York Times review of Blood Sport:

In the annals of greed and easy credit, few land purchases look dumber in retrospect than the one that closed at the Citizens Bank and Trust Company in the town of Flippin, Ark., at 10 A.M. on Aug. 2, 1978. It was dumb because much of the 230 acres was brush-covered and inaccessible by road; because only part of it fronted on the White River, which was its sole attraction; because the price of $203,000 was double what its sellers had agreed to pay for it only months earlier; because the entire purchase price was borrowed and the loan would have to be repaid or refinanced at the end of six months; because even a quick resale of the 44 projected lots promised at best a modest profit; because interest rates were about to go through the roof; because the principal active partner, James McDougal, had the attention span of a rat terrier; and because the principal passive partner, Hillary Rodham, was married to a man she expected to be President someday.

The fateful die had been cast one evening in a Little Rock restaurant called the Black-Eyed Pea when Ms. Rodham and her husband, Bill Clinton, who was running for governor of Arkansas that summer, chanced upon their friends Jim McDougal and his wife, Susan. Mr. McDougal was full of excitement about the piece of land he’d just seen; he invited the Clintons to join him in the deal — no money necessary, he’d take care of everything. Mr. Clinton and his wife were both graduates of the Yale Law School, but they might have been rubes at a country fair. They said they’d love to go in on the deal.

The Clintons have now had 18 years to reflect on all the omens of failure that should have been obvious from the beginning. Their sole motive was hope of a quick buck. They knew nothing about real estate or land development or the financial strength of their partners. They never saw the land they were buying, never met the bankers lending them the money, did not attend the closing, had no money to pay back the loan if it was called and were potentially liable for the whole of the borrowed sum plus interest in the event that the project failed and their partners were broke.

The history of this ill-conceived and highly speculative enterprise, formally known as the Whitewater Development Company Inc., comes to splendid life in one of the best books on American politics in recent years, James B. Stewart’s “Blood Sport: The President and His Adversaries.” Mr. Stewart was invited to undertake the book in March 1994 by Susan Thomases, a friend of Mrs. Clinton who plays an occasional role in the story herself. But after one 90-minute meeting with Mr. Stewart, Mrs. Clinton apparently changed her mind, saw him no more and, according to recent Washington rumor, has been biting her nails in nervous anticipation of what Mr. Stewart will say.

Everyone Who was Anyone Knew About the Clintons a Long Time Ago

The Clintons, Bill and Hillary, are not mysteries.  Everything that can be known about them has been known since their political careers began.  Still, Democrats supported both of them all the way to the White House and beyond.  Even now, their family business, The Clinton Foundation, is awash in controversy.  See “Clinton Foundation Scandal”.

The Clintons are dirty.  They taint everything they touch.  They have left a trail that anyone can see.

It didn’t take Stewart long to figure out the Clintons.  He was well-connected in New York business, legal, publishing, and broadcasting circles when Hillary approached him.  He had a reputation to protect.  That’s why he turned down her offer.

News spreads fast in New York social circles.  Stewart’s book got lots of attention.  If Stewart knew the truth about the Clintons, so did his contacts.

Higher-Ups in the FBI and DOJ

Higher-ups in the FBI and DOJ have been protecting the Clintons for decades.  They protected Barack Obama as well.  The so-called “Deep State” is real.  It was put in place by the Clintons and Barack Obama to protect them.  It’s their insurance policy.

“Liberal progressives” pooh-pooh the Deep State publicly, but they know it’s real.  They need the Deep State to exercise power even though President Trump won the 2016 election.  Their plan is coming undone.  With each passing day, more information is revealed that sheds light on the duplicity of FBI and DOJ higher-ups:

The Democrat Party is Rotten to the Core

The Democrat Party is rotten to the core.  It’s rotten because it’s the creation of rotten people: Bill and Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.

Democrat elected officials lie routinely because that’s what Democrats have been doing successfully since Bill Clinton came to power.  For them, it’s as natural as breathing.

It takes time to solve a problem that has been festering for decades.  President Trump is doing the job despite enormous resistance, and he’s winning.

The truth is getting out slowly.  The American people are waking up to reality.  Our government was hijacked by corrupt people seeking wealth and power: Bill and Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.

Donald Trump had wealth and power before he ran for president.  The Clintons and Obama used our government to obtain wealth and power.  The difference is huge.

“The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one; I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me. Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory which You have given Me, for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.” (John 17: 22-24)
