Palestinians have earned a Reputation for Lying, Cheating, and Stealing

Here is a lesson that teaches us how the Palestinians today treat remnants of the past. Following the revolt led by Mattityahu and his sons (the Macabbees) against the Greeks in 167 BCE, Jews had sovereignty in the Land of Israel for some 200 years, until the Herodian era. Forty years after Mattiyahu the Hasmonean and his sons first relit the Temple menorah and found that its oil miraculously lasted eight days, their descendants built grand winter palaces at the mouth of the Parat stream, at the entrance to Jericho. King Herod, who excelled at building – but also at killing and destruction – built three more palaces of his own nearby.
The Hasmonean palaces are located in what is today Area C, which is under full Israel control, but they can only be accessed via Area A, where the Palestinians are in full control. Most of Herod’s Third Palace, the grandest of the trio, lies within Area A.
Recently, a team from the Kfar Etzion Field School visited the site and was appalled to find that the Palestinians, who received the excavated and orderly site as part of the Oslo Accords, had built housing around it. Some homes were constructed on the grounds of the palace itself. The remains of the palace are being systematically demolished to construct a road. The historic edifice is being stripped of its stone, and the supporting pillars and arches have been defaced.
Not far away, in Area C, are the Hasmonean palaces, the most important preserved Hasmonean site in the country. These palaces, like the Herodian ones, were excavated by the late Professor Ehud Netzer, one of Israel’s pre-eminent archaeologists, who was killed seven years ago in an accident at the Herodion site, which he had also excavated. A week before his death, he visited MK Zeev Elkin, today Jerusalem affairs and heritage minister. Netzer laid the Hasmonean palaces file on Elkin’s desk and asked the MK to help save them.
At the time, the flow of the Parat stream was beginning to undermine the foundations of one of the palaces. The Palestinians had begun building illegally next to the site, and desecrating it. One of the palaces was even vandalized with a swastika. Natural wear and tear had also been at work.
What are Palestinians up to?
Is this an example of Palestinians trying to eradicate evidence of Israel’s ancient history in the Promised Land, or is it an example of Palestinians just being Palestinians? By that I mean showing no regard for the rights of others and behaving like spoiled brats.
It might be some of both, but if you take a broad look at the problem, I would bet that it’s evidence of Palestinians trying to eliminate evidence that contradicts their propaganda narrative.
The Temple Mount is a case in point. Palestinians have been working feverishly for more than 2 decades to erase evidence supporting Israel’s claims regarding the area on and around the Temple Mount. They have been allowed to get away with it because Israel doesn’t have day-to-day control of the Temple Mount and because Israeli leaders have been unwilling to exercise their sovereign rights in the area out of fear of provoking an incident that captures media attention.
The same kind of thing is taking place in Hebron, Bethlehem, and other important Jewish sites in the West Bank.
What we call the West Bank today is ancient Judea and Samaria. There is no question that the West Bank, all of it, was part of the Jewish homeland. Palestinian claims to the land are of recent vintage. They are trying to wipe out evidence of a Jewish presence and making up “evidence” supporting their claim to the land.
None of this is new, but it has taken on a renewed sense of urgency thanks to President Trump’s proclamation that Jerusalem is Israel’s capital. If the president continues to let facts guide his thinking, he will conclude that Palestinians are interlopers who are trying to steal things that don’t belong to them.
Palestinians have earned a reputation for lying, cheating, and stealing. They are also well-known for murder and mayhem.
That’s the unvarnished truth. You won’t hear it from the establishment media in any Western country.

For many years, “Palestine” has not stopped aspiring to new heights in the so called “international community”. “Palestine” has been present at the Olympic Games since 1996, and, later, became a permanent observer to UNESCO and the United Nations. The vast majority of the 95 “embassies” of “Palestine” are in the Muslim world; many others are in Asia, Africa, Latin America and Europe. In 2014, the Spanish Parliament voted in favor of full recognition of “Palestine.” A few weeks later, the French Parliament did the same.
There is no other instance in the history of the world where a state that does not exist can have missions and embassies presumed to function as if that state did exist.
Now the time has probably come for the “Palestinians” to realize that they have lost and fall back to earth, as noted by the scholar Daniel Pipes.
Have “Palestinian” leaders been showing by their speeches and actions that they are ready to rule a state living in peace with their neighbors and with the rest of the world? All “Palestinian” leaders have incessantly incited terrorism, and do not hide their wish to wipe Israel off the map.
Is there a long-standing aspiration by the “Palestinian people” to have a state and to live peacefully within that state? The answer is actually no. The “Palestinian people” were invented in the late 1960s by the Arab and Soviet propaganda services. As PLO leader Zuheir Mohsen told the Dutch newspaper Trouw in March 1977:
“The Palestinian people does not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality, today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese.”
Reports from the West Bank after the Six Day War show that the Arabs defined themselves in interviews as “Arabs” or “Jordanians”; they evidently did not know that they were the “Palestinian people”. Since then, they were taught it. They were also taught that it is their duty to “liberate Palestine” by killing Jews. The Palestinians are the first people invented to serve as a weapon of mass destruction of another people.
Facts are Stubborn Things
That conclusion is undeniably correct. “The Palestinians are the first people invented to serve as a weapon of mass destruction of another people.”
You definitely won’t hear that from the establishment media. They are selling a perspective, a point of view. They attempt to indoctrinate, and nothing will deter them. Facts and the truth certainly won’t cause them to abandon their agenda.
The establishment media has proven that it can’t be shamed or humiliated. That tells us all we need to know.
