“I am Yahweh; that is My Name!  I will not give My glory to anyone else, nor share My praise with carved idols.” (Isaiah 42: 8)

Of all the “professions”,  journalism is the worst.

I’ve read many articles that attribute this quote or something like it to Jamie Dimon:

“Donald Trump will be a one-term president.”

See “Jamie Dimon says he would bet on Trump being a one-term president”.

Jamie Dimon is Chairman, President, and CEO of JPMorgan Chase. He’s widely recognized as the leading banker in the U.S. and probably the world. What Dimon says matters to serious people, especially to serious investors.

This is the problem: Dimon did not say that Donald Trump will be a one-term president. He’s not so naïve or so dumb that he would say something that foolish publicly.

If you read the transcript of Dimon’s remarks at the Economic Club of Chicago, you will discover that he said something like this: If Democrats nominate someone like Bernie Sanders or Elizabeth Warren, Donald Trump will win in 2020.

Stated another way, Dimon said that Democrats have no hope in 2020 unless they change their ways and their tune.

Most of us expect CNN, MSNBC, the NYT, and the Washington Post, for example, to make up stuff and report it as news. That’s why we call it fake news. We don’t expect CNBC, Fortune, and Business insider, for example, to follow their lead, but they do.

That’s why ordinary Americans don’t give a tinker’s damn what the establishment media says, and Trump supporters care even less.

Of all the so-called “professions” in our country, journalism is the worst. There once was a time when most editors and publishers in the U.S. adhered to professional standards, but that day is long gone.

Immediately after Trump’s election last November, the NYT and the WaPo went public with their intention to hire “hit squads”, so to speak, in a brazen attempt to destroy the Trump administration. That spoke volumes about their lack of professionalism.

The dishonesty of the establishment media makes me an even stronger Trump supporter. Not only that, it makes me angry.

When I hear people repeat “liberal progressive” Democrat talking points by quoting one-liners from the establishment media, I know that they don’t know shit from Shinola.  I don’t have much patience with them and even less respect for them.

I told my students at UVA on the first day of class each semester that they had better be prepared to engage in discussion. I also said that if they were not prepared one time and I found out, they would be given one more chance, and that was it. They got the message. I also told them that BS didn’t cut it in my class and that they had better be ready to defend their conclusions with solid evidence.

I loved my classes because everyone understood the rules and adhered to them.  It was fun and all of us learned a lot, me included.

My students liked my classes, too. I know that because students evaluated every class they took every semester. In other words, I have evidence to support my conclusion. I’m not making it up.

See “Jamie Dimon Says He’d Bet Donald Trump Doesn’t Win Again in 2020”.  This Bloomberg article begins with a video of an excerpt from Dimon’s remarks that refutes the article’s headline.

Again, the establishment media can’t be trusted.  They are not professional, and they are not honest.

“The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one; I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me. Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory which You have given Me, for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.” (John 17: 22-24)

See “His Name is Yahweh”.
