Elder of Ziyon—Mahmoud Abbas and Kim Jong-un: A Love Story:

Last month, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas wished North Korean leader Kim Jong-un “health and happiness” in honor of North Korea’s “Liberation Day.” In the message, Abbas praised the Palestinians’ “historic friendship” with North Korea, and wished the country’s people “stability and prosperity.”

Yesterday, the lovefest continued. The official PA news agency Wafa reported:

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas received on Thursday a cable of thanks from the Secretary-General of the Korean Workers’ Party, First Commander of the National Defense Committee of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Commander-in-Chief Kim Jong-un, in response to his congratulations on the liberation day.

Last year, Abbas sent Kim Jong-un a basket of flowers for the occasion of the “Day of the Shining Star” — Kim Jong-il’s birthday. Abbas also sent flowers to the North Korean mass murderer for the “Day of the Sun” — Kim Il-sung’s birthday.

Another floral arrangement was lovingly hand-delivered in Pyongyang last September for North Korea’s founding anniversary, and yet another flower basket was gifted to Kim Jong-un for New Year’s Day this year. Finally, last year’s Liberation Day was accompanied by yet more flowers.

In one year, Mahmoud Abbas sent Kim Jong-un five separate flower baskets.

SnyderTalk Comment:

Palestinians, North Koreans, and Iranians make for a volatile combination.  Add Hezbollah and Turkish President Erdogan to them mix, and it becomes explosive.

Kim Jong-un may think that helping Israel’s enemies is a way to strike the U.S.  Don’t rule it out.

“The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one; I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me. Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory which You have given Me, for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.” (John 17: 22-24)
