Washington Post—West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice isn’t the only Democrat Trump won over:
HUNTINGTON, W. Va. — While it is highly unusual for a sitting governor to change political parties while in office — as West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice (D) announced he would do during a rally with President Trump on Thursday night — the process of crossing over was familiar to many in the crowd that night.
Kimberly Barrington, a 46-year-old stay-at-home mother of two from Virginia’s rural Wise County, voted for Democrats for years, including former president Barack Obama ahead of his first term — but as she watched him and the Democratic Party drift away from her values and priorities, she decided to vote in 2012 for Republican nominee Mitt Romney and then for Trump in 2016.
Marty Ramsey, a 49-year-old from Kenova who maintains trains, became an independent several years ago after watching Democrats allow the government to become heavily involved in health care, implement Common Core education standards that he thinks are too liberal, reduce access to firearms and narrow the freedoms of Americans. After not voting in the 2008 and 2012 elections, Ramsey voted for Trump last year.
Paula Langston, a 41-year-old registered nurse who grew up here and has always voted for Republicans, said she was stunned when her parents — staunch, lifelong Democrats — announced that they were voting for Trump. They own a bar in town and realized that voting for Democrats again and again wasn’t helping them, so they decided to take a chance on Trump, she said. She’s not sure whther this was a one-time gamble or a full change of heart.
“It will depend on how he does,” she said, “if they see the impact on their lives that he has promised.”

Whining “liberal progressive” Democrats are losing all over the country. They have debased themselves to the point that their gross immorality is the most visible thing about them.
Take the special prosecutor investigation of President Trump, for instance. Hypocrites in the Democrat Party are pursuing him with reckless abandon, but how many times did Barack Obama cross the legal line and commit felonies while his comrades in the Democrat Party applauded his every move? I don’t know for sure, but it was plenty.
This is one example: Newly Released Documents Show Government Misled Public on Fannie/Freddie Takeover. Nothing was done about it when it happened. As far as I know, nothing is being done about it now.
President Obama made Bernie Madoff look like a piker. Madoff is in jail for the crimes he committed.
And what about the Bill and Hillary Clinton crime syndicate? They globe-trot freely, but they should be in jail, too. As far as I know, nothing is being done about their crimes now, either. That’s a miscarriage of justice, and people are beginning to take notice.
The Democrat Party has become the Party of Perversity. If it’s filthy, if it’s rotten to the core, Democrats will champion it. It’s sickening.
If Donald Trump had not been elected, if voters had elected Hillary Clinton or almost any legitimate Republican instead, the status quo would have been preserved. More than anything else, Republicans and Democrats are fearful that President Trump will change the rules of the game, and they are determined to stop him at any cost.
Politicos who have already made their millions are fearful that the gravy train at taxpayer expense is coming to an end. Those who haven’t lined their pockets yet are fearful that it will come to a complete halt before they get theirs.
Of course, they are upset. It’s not what they signed up for.
President Trump doesn’t need to take money from taxpayers. He made billions on his own. He really can work for ordinary citizens. That’s what we want from a president. That’s what we need from a president.
President Trump is not a politician. He hasn’t devoted himself to learning the finer points of deceiving the public for personal gain. If he looks clumsy politically, it’s because he is. He is not like the political pack.
This is the clincher, though. Yahweh chose President Trump. The sooner the country gets on-board with that fact the better.
Switching Gears Slightly
It’s time for Attorney General Sessions to man up or move out. His problem should be obvious. He learned to play by the old rules. We need an attorney general who doesn’t carry that baggage.
