The Algemeiner—PA UN Envoy Refuses to Condemn Halamish Terror Attack, Saying ‘Don’t Expect All Palestinians to Be Angels’:
Palestinian Authority Ambassador to the UN Riyad Mansour declined this week to condemn last Friday’s terrorist attack in Halamish — in which three Israelis were stabbed to death at a Shabbat dinner — and instead justified the act.
Addressing reporters at the UN headquarters in New York City, Mansour said, “When you have an occupation with its ruthlessness…then don’t expect all Palestinians to be angels [and] not to react to it.”
“If people think that the Palestinian people are going to live in that situation without any form of resistance to it, that is not realistic and that is not fair,” Mansour went on to assert.
Israel’s UN envoy, Danny Danon, said the Halamish attack was a “direct result of hateful Palestinian incitement.”
The international community, Danon continued, must demand that the Palestinian Authority “immediately end terror and glorification of violence.”

Palestinian Authority Ambassador to the UN Riyad Mansour is presenting Palestinian propaganda. First, he called Israel an “occupying power”. That’s not true. Israel’s claim on the Promised Land has both Divine and human support.
Yahweh promised the land that we know today as Israel to Abraham’s descendants through Isaac and Jacob/Israel. He promised them much more land than they control now. The dispute over the remainder of their inheritance will come later.
In 1948, Israel was recognized as a country by the U.N. International law is on Israel’s side. The country we call Jordan today is the land that was recognized as the Arab state. That includes so-called “Palestinians”. So, in a nutshell Palestinian Arabs are attempting to take land that belongs to Israel by force. It’s the same as someone attempting to take your home by force.
Second, Palestinian leaders incited the violence that resulted in 2 Israeli police officers being murdered by Palestinians near the Temple Mount with weapons that were stored inside Al-Aqsa Mosque on the Temple Mount. The security cameras and metal detectors that were installed following that horrific incident were designed to reduce the likelihood of a similar event in the future. The metal detectors were removed after a wave of violence, but the security cameras remain. That’s the source of today’s unrest.
Mansour’s quip that we can’t expect all Palestinians to be angels when asked to condemn the senseless murder of a Jewish family in their home ignores the fact that he and his superiors in the Palestinian Authority incited the violence. They knew full well that some Palestinians would do exactly what the Palestinian murderer did when he butchered the Salomon family during a Shabbat dinner. It’s the same as provoking an unruly mob to violence and then denying complicity in their actions.
Mansour’s pathetic attempt to absolve the Palestinian Authority is insane, but that doesn’t mean the world won’t buy his argument. Mansour knows this, and he uses it to the Palestinian Authority’s advantage.
As faithful followers of Yahweh, we have a duty and a responsibility to tell the truth. Sometimes telling the truth puts us at odds with conventional “wisdom”. This is one of those times.
We need to pray for President Trump. This round of Palestinian violence was orchestrated for him to witness. Palestinians hope that he will intervene on their behalf. He needs to do the exact opposite.

Change that Yahweh calls “good” begins in the hearts of believers—people who are recognizable because they are different.
We are different because we belong to Him and are called by His Name. We are Yahweh’s people, His followers.
