The World is Going Nuts
A look at the headlines any day of the week tells the tale. The world is going nuts.
Let’s start by looking at the U.N. See “The United Nations: Making a Mockery of Human Rights”. Muslim majority countries are the world’s leading human rights violators, particularly where women are concerned. Even so, the U.N. makes a market in condemning Israel for everything under the sun while Muslim nations get off scot-free. It’s nuts, but the world acts as though the U.N. is a respectable place. It’s not.
Palestinians want peace? See “Palestinian Assault on Freedoms” and “Agents of Their Own Destruction”. Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas says that Israeli Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu isn’t serious about the Two State solution, and the world jumps on Israel with both feet. All the while, both the Palestinian and Hamas charters call for wiping Israel off the map and driving the Jews into the sea. The world doesn’t seem to care. It’s Israel’s fault. By the way, did you know that under Palestinian law it’s illegal for Palestinians to sell land to Jews at any price? In fact, it’s a capital offense. If you don’t know that, do you know why?
On a related matter, see “Trump: Palestinians Must Earn a Two State Solution”. I really like the idea that Palestinians should have to earn something, but that’s not how they operate. Palestinians, both Hamas and Fatah, are global beggars. That’s not likely to change simply because Donald Trump was elected president. I hope his election will change our country’s attitude toward Palestinians, though.
What about Europe? See “Can Europe Find Its Spine?”. Europe as we knew it is history. They did it to themselves, and they can’t muster the political will or the courage to deal with the mess they’ve made. World Wars I and II were born in Europe. The next big one will be, too. “NO!” is the short answer to the question asked in the headline. Europe can’t find it’s spine.
Islamists are doing what Islamists do. See “The Muslim Brotherhood: Wellspring of Terrorism”. There is absolutely no question about the fact that the Muslim Brotherhood is an Islamist terrorist organization, but Barack Obama invited them to join his administration and gave them clout in our government. Europeans have done the same thing. If that’s not crazy, nothing is.
Turkey has lost its way. See “Turkey: Record-Breaking Purge in Academia”. I can remember when Turkey was a great country to visit, but I don’t plan to return any time soon. Here’s why. The people of Turkey have elected an Islamist to lead them, and he’s doing what Islamists do. I can understand why Turkish President Erdogan is doing what he’s doing. I can’t understand why the Turkish people keep electing him unless he truly represents them.
I could continue, but there is no need. As I said, the world is going nuts. Regrettably, world wars are a proven way to reintroduce sanity but at great cost. That’s where we are headed.

Change that Yahweh calls “good” begins in the hearts of believers—people who are recognizable because they are different.
We are different because we belong to Him and are called by His Name. We are Yahweh’s people, His followers.
