Jerusalem Post—In rebuke against Obama, Jerusalem mayor urges Israelis to support Trump:

“[Obama] has surrendered to the Iranians and radical Islam, and abandoned Israel to a hostile UN.”

Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat leveled a full throttle attack against outgoing US President Barack Obama on Thursday, releasing a video statement accusing Obama of “surrendering to the Iranians and radical Islam,” as well as “abandoning Israel.”

While Barkat has made no secret of his opposition to the Obama administration’s policies toward Israel, in the brief video he uses his strongest language to date to condemn the American president, and beseech all Israelis to support President-elect Donald Trump.

Barkat sent the email with hopes of gaining letters of support for a national pro-Trump campaign.

“My fellow citizens,” Barkat said in Hebrew during the one-minute clip, “during the last eight years the Obama administration has pushed for a building settlement freeze, he has surrendered to the Iranians and radical Islam, and has abandoned Israel to a hostile UN resolution.

“This week, president Donald Trump enters the White House,” he continued. “Let’s all welcome him together as our friend, thereby conveying a clear message to the world: Jerusalem is Israel’s undivided capital!” Barkat concluded by asking Israelis to “join me, and sign a letter supporting president Trump’s decision to move the US Embassy to Jerusalem, and his decision to support the State of Israel. Let’s make the US and Israel’s relationship great again!” Reaction to Barkat’s email campaign was swift, if not mixed. While some Jerusalemites echoed the right-wing mayor’s sentiments, others took issue with what they deemed partisan and unsolicited advice, in emailed responses to him.

SnyderTalk Comment:

I travel to Israel a lot, and I spend a lot of time in Israel.  While I’m there, I talk with ordinary Israeli citizens about anything that’s on their minds.

For the past 8 years, I have been ashamed of my country.  Under Barack Obama, for all practical purposes, Israel was hung out to dry.  Israel is our most reliable ally in the world, and Obama betrayed her favoring instead her enemies and ours.

It was stupid.  I know that Obama’s army of nitwits think he is a smart many, but I saw absolutely no evidence of that during his 2 terms in office.  What I saw was outrageous behavior that did more damage to our country than any president I have ever seen.  Our allies, Israel in particular, suffered as well.

Those days are over!  HalleluYah!

Enter Donald Trump and his army.  I have high hopes for him and for them.  So do the Israeli people.  Nir Barkat spoke for them and for Yahweh.

Donald Trump and his team need our prayers and our support.  As I have said many times before, his election was not the end.  It was just the beginning.

While European leaders continue their “jihad against Israel”, at long last, Israel has a friend in the White House.  We’ll have to wait to see what affect that has on the pandering nabob wannabes in Europe.

Step One for Trump: move the U.S. embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.  That will send a strong message to everyone.  Of course, Palestinians are threatening violence if that happens.  So be it.  Israelis know how to respond to violence.  So does the U.S. military without Obama in the White House.

If it sounds like I’m saying that we need to be ready to defend our only reliable ally in the Middle East, I communicated.

Don’t expect help or common sense from the Vatican.  If you do, you will be disappointed.  The Vatican has deep-seated anti-Semitic tendencies.  Pope Francis has made matters worse.  There’s a consequence for that if not in this world, in the world to come.

“If My people who are called by My Name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7: 14)

Change that Yahweh calls “good” begins in the hearts of believers—people who are recognizable because they are different.

We are different because we belong to Him and are called by His Name.  We are Yahweh’s people, His followers.

“The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one; I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me. Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory which You have given Me, for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.” (John 17: 22-24)
