Trump Wins: That’s Step 1

As a nation, it’s obvious that we have some serious problems.

Some will argue, “We always have had problems, so what’s new?”

This is new.  Actually, it’s several years old now, but it’s still “new” in an absolute sense.  In 2012 for the first time ever as far as I know, a major political party in the United States booed Yahweh.

Thankfully, most of them did not know Yahweh’s Name, so they booed a title instead.  It’s the literal name of a false deity: God.  Even so, they revealed their heart’s desire.  It’s a desire to live in a world where Yahweh doesn’t exist, and they represent about 50% of voters.

That party was the Democrat Party, but it would be foolish to believe that the Republican Party is free of influence from people who reject the notion of Yahweh’s existence.

Saying that we have a divided nation is an understatement.  Saying that we have corruption in high places is an understatement as well.  Saying that we don’t see the forces of good and evil at work in our political system is ridiculous.

Electing Donald Trump is Step 1 in the process of changing the hearts and minds of the people.  It won’t be easy.

Yahweh has given us a chance.  What we do with it is up to us.

As believers, we need to pray for our new leader and help him do his job.  Just as important, we need to hold him accountable and expect him to make righteous judgments.  We also need to help him keep his promises.

We must not allow ourselves to believe that the battle is over.  It’s not over.  In fact, it has just begun.

“If My people who are called by My Name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7: 14)

Change that Yahweh calls “good” begins in the hearts of believers—people who are recognizable because they are different.

We are different because we belong to Him and are called by His Name.  We are Yahweh’s people, His followers.

“The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one; I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me. Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory which You have given Me, for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.” (John 17: 22-24)

  1. Hello Dr. Snyder,
Once again I am struck by how much alike you & I think- but I never knew that our prayers were as similar…..Yahweh has indeed given us, as a nation, another chance- but I don’t believe that there will be any others.
It is also my view that the majority in congress is the “toolbox” that is needed to begin the monumental tasks ahead of our new president- elect, and I would not be the least bit surprised to see a super majority happen, in two years. I think that depends on how well Mr. Trump does, with what Yahweh has given him to start with. By the way, I like your new web page design…it’s been a while, since I have visited, unfortunately…
