“Yahweh has established His throne in heaven, and His kingdom rules over all.” (Psalm 103: 19)
Fidel Castro was a Brutal Dictator and an Evil Man
An article in The Algemeiner titled “Iran to Send Delegation to Castro Funeral; Palestinian Leaders Laud Cuban Revolutionary’s Fight Against ‘Imperialism, Zionism, Racism, Capitalism’” demonstrates the degree to which evil people will go to deceive the masses:
Iran announced over the weekend that it would be sending a delegation to the funeral of Cuban revolutionary leader and former President Fidel Castro, who died at the age of 90 on Saturday and was cremated at his request, Tehran’s semi-official news agency Fars reported on Sunday.
In a condolence message sent to Cuban President Raul Castro — Fidel’s brother and successor — Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif referred to the late dictator as “prominent figure in fighting against colonialism and exploitation” and a “symbol of independence-seeking struggles of the oppressed.”
Palestinian leaders also expressed sadness over Fidel’s passing, according to the independent Palestinian Ma’an News Agency (MNA), emphasizing — as did the Marxist-Leninist terrorist organization the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) — his staunch stance on behalf of “the oppressed peoples of the world in their confrontation with imperialism, Zionism, racism and capitalism.”
When he died, Fidel Castro had a net worth of $900 million. It’s true that he defeated a dictator, but he became a dictator and ruled Cuba with an iron fist. In the process, he robbed the Cuban people and forced them to live in squalor.
Fidel Castro was not a “symbol of independence-seeking struggles of the oppressed” as Iranian leaders claim, and he was not a champion of “the oppressed peoples of the world in their confrontation with imperialism, Zionism, racism and capitalism” as Palestinian leaders assert. He was the personification of what he professed to hate with a very thin veneer.
At age 39, Castro’s partner in crime, Ernesto “Che” Guevara, was captured and executed in Bolivia while he was fomenting unrest in that country. Castro would have suffered a similar fate if he had left Cuba. He was a prisoner on an island who hid behind a gigantic security apparatus to keep his own people from killing him.
It’s no surprise that Iranian and Palestinian leaders admire Castro. He was what they are.
Forces of darkness in the world can masquerade as forces of light because far too many people are ignorant about the truth. Yahweh is not confused. He knows who they are, and there are consequences for challenging His sovereignty.
Right now, Fidel Castro is where Yasser Arafat is and where all those who oppose Yahweh are heading. The world is better off without Castro and evil people like him.
“If My people who are called by My Name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7: 14)
Change that Yahweh calls “good” begins in the hearts of believers—people who are recognizable because they are different.
We are different because we belong to Him and are called by His Name. We are Yahweh’s people, His followers.

“The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one; I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me. Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory which You have given Me, for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.” (John 17: 22-24)
