The World is Getting “Curiouser and curiouser”

As Alice in Wonderland famously said, things are getting “curiouser and curiouser!”

The world has changed so dramatically that it doesn’t resemble the world we knew just a few short years ago.  9/11 should have left an indelible mark on our collective brain.  Instead, it is a distant memory that conveniently has been forgotten.

Our enemy has increased in numbers and in strength since then, and they have gone global.

The Middle East is a powder keg.  It has been that way for as long as anyone can recall.  The only thing that has changed in that region recently is the frequency and the severity of the violence.  The war in Syria is a good example.  With Iran on the prowl, things are destined to get worse.

Israel faces grave danger.  Under Hamas control, Islamist terrorist forces are gaining ground rapidly across a wide spectrum of Palestinian society.  Palestinian universities have come under Hamas’ spell.  That doesn’t bode well for the future.

The U.S. and Europe have become increasingly anti-Israel.  Thus, Israeli leaders have turned to the East for support.  That’s like leaning against a limp reed.  It won’t work, but that’s what is taking place.

Asia has changed, too.  Under Vladimir Putin, Russia is reasserting herself in global affairs, and China is poised to become a true global superpower with global ambitions.

Europe, the cradle of Western democracy, is on the verge of complete surrender to Islamist forces that have been infiltrating European countries one-by-one for decades.  Despite an epidemic of terrorist attacks, European leaders remain essentially clueless.

Ordinary Europeans are preparing to defend themselves, and the far-right is gaining ground rapidly.  Under these conditions, anything can happen.

Islamists took control of Turkey more than a decade ago.  Under President Erdogan, Turkey is implementing an Islamic supremacist foreign policy, and European leaders led by German Chancellor Angela Merkel are going along with it.

Making matters infinitely worse, we are witnessing the simultaneous death of free speech in Europe.  Europeans who can see what is happening and are willing to talk about it can face criminal charges.  It reminds me of Europe under the Nazi regime.

The U.S. and Canada are following the European model.  Our leaders are burying their heads in the sand and hoping against hope that the threat we face will miraculously disappear.

That won’t happen.  If our leaders continue refusing to confront reality, things will get much worse here at home.

As Caroline Glick points out, Hamas is gaining ground in the U.S.  They have infiltrated the Obama White House, and they have gotten traction at American universities.  At this point, stopping Hamas in the U.S. will take a new leader, a different kind of leader.

We need a leader who can see reality for what it is and one who is willing to confront Islamists of all sorts aggressively.

Passover is about Yahweh delivering His people safely out of bondage and taking them to the Promised Land.  The day may come sooner than we think when He will have to do it again.

Thankfully, Yahweh can do it, and He will.  HalleluYah!

See “Six maps that will make you rethink the world”.  It’s interesting.

“The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one; I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me. Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory which You have given Me, for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.” (John 17: 22-24)
