American Overlook—Hitler Survivor’s Accurate Comparison of Obama to Hitler: ‘Keep Your Guns, Buy More’:

Katie Worthman knows all too well the devastating effects of a powerful dictatorship. She lived through Nazi-occupied Germany, witnessing Adolf Hitler’s dastardly power and is now warning Americans that there are far too many similarities between Hilter and our president, Barack Obama.

Worthman explained that Hitler’s tyrannical power did not happen over night, but rather, it took five years.

She noted an overwhelming majority—98 percent of Austrians—voted Hitler into office. “Now you might ask how could a Christian nation… elect a monster like Hitler,” Worthman said. “The truth is at the beginning Hitler didn’t look like or talk like a monster at all. He talked like an American politician.”

She discussed Hitler’s policies of strengthening a severely damaged economy—redistributing wealth, nationalizing education, banks and healthcare. Hitler even distributed free radios to the people so that they could listen to his propaganda.

Most notably, Hitler seized the peoples’ firearms. First, they were forced to register their guns, then they were forced to turn them over because “children were hurting themselves.” Anyone who refused to turn over their firearms would find themselves the victim of capital punishment.

SnyderTalk Comment: We should pay attention to what people with experience are saying.  They have so much more to tell us than the fluff with see in the mainstream media and the nonsense we hear from Obama and Clinton and their toadies.

The first video below is Katie Worthman’s speech.  I hope you take the time to watch it.  This is my observation about the comparison: if Hillary Clinton follows Obama as president, we are in deep trouble.

There was no follow-up to Hitler because his successors were executed or they committed suicide.  If there had been follow-up, anything could have happened.

The IndependentPope Francis aims for Middle East peace as next diplomatic miracle as he hosts Iranian president: After his coup in reviving relations between Washington and Havana, Pope Francis has in his sights an even bigger goal: ending the interfaith savagery that is ripping apart the Middle East and sending millions of people fleeing for their lives.

The Jewish PressLand for Peace in the Middle East?: US Ambassador to Israel, Dan Shapiro believes in “Land for Peace” and echoes the US Administration pressure on Israel to retreat to the pre-1967 ceasefire lines: an 8-15 mile sliver along the Mediterranean, towered over by the mountain ridges of Judea & Samaria. Thus, the US Administration – unlike the US public and Congress – ignores the centrality of Judea & Samaria in Jewish history, religion, culture and nationalism, and provides another victory to wishful-thinking over the 1,400-year-old reality of inherent Mideast/Arab violence, unpredictability, tyranny, doublespeak and hate-education. If Israel would have caved under US pressure to retreat from the Golan Heights – a site of Jewish battles against the Roman Empire – ISIS and other terrorists would be there, overlooking the Sea of Galilee, traumatizing northern Israel and beyond.

Jerusalem Post‘Timing of my Israel criticism not ideal,’ US envoy Shapiro says: Dan Shapiro, Washington’s ambassador to Tel Aviv, acknowledged on Monday that the timing of his criticism of the Israeli government’s policies in the West Bank – which took place on the same day as the funeral of a woman who was brutally stabbed to death by a Palestinian in the settlement of Otniel – “was not ideal.”

SnyderTalk Comment: I know he’s serious, but it sounds like a joke.  Delusion runs rampant in the Obama administration.  They can’t imagine even the possibility that they are wrong.

Also, see “US ambassador apologizes for timing of criticism against Israel”.

AlgemeinerShocking New Israeli Report: Over 40% of Europeans Hold Antisemitic Views: More than 40% of European Union citizens hold antisemitic views and agree with the claim that Israel is committing genocide against the Palestinians and behaving like the Nazis, according to data presented during Sunday morning’s weekly Israeli cabinet meeting, the Hebrew news site nrg reported. Ahead of International Holocaust Remembrance Day this week, Israeli Diaspora Affairs Minister Naftali Bennett, who also serves as minister of education, presented the country’s 2015 antisemitism report, pointing to the trends emerging in Europe as a result of the spread of radical Islam; the refugee and migrant crisis; the anti-Israel boycott, divestment and sanctions movement (BDS); and the rise of the extreme Right.

The HillGOP senators: Anyone but Cruz: Jittery Republican senators think Donald Trump would actually give them a better chance of keeping their Senate majority if he were the party’s presidential nominee instead of Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas). With the Iowa caucuses, the first contest of the 2016 presidential primary, just over a week away, some Senate Republicans are beginning to talk up Trump’s candidacy. “The bottom line is many people around here think Cruz would be worse for our chances of keeping the majority,” said a senior Republican senator, who requested anonymity to speak about Cruz frankly. “He’s so polarizing, it could be a wipeout.”

SnyderTalk Comment: GOP senators are scared that President Cruz would hold their feet to the fire.  He should, and I hope he will.  They are as much a part of the problem as Democrat senators.

GOP senators may not realize it, but they are endorsing Cruz in the minds of most people by attacking him.  They have no idea how angry we are with them, all of them.  The more they talk, the more likely they are to get what they deserve.

So, keep it up boys and girls.  Squeal as loud as you can.  You’ve been feeding at the public trough long enough.  You’re not as concerned about holding your majority in the Senate as you are about keeping your seat.

I’ve said this many times: I used to be a Democrat, but I have never been a Republican and never will be.  There’s a reason for that.

Ted Cruz is a Republican who acts like an honest man who has our NATION’S INTERESTS at heart.  That’s something that I can’t say about GOP or Democrat senators a group.  I lump them together because there isn’t a significant difference between them.

Ted Cruz is different.

The IndependentJohn Kerry reassures Gulf Arab states over warming US-Iran relations: US Secretary of State John Kerry has met Gulf Arab officials to ease their concerns about the warming US-Iranian relations, and to seek consensus on which Syrian opposition groups should be represented at upcoming peace talks.

SnyderTalk Comment: Kerry didn’t “reassure” anyone.  They know him too well for that.  He’s just talking.  Like Obama, that’s what he does best.

Michael Curtis—Iran gets the Oscar for Chutzpah: In his amusing book The Joy of Yiddish, Leo Rosten defines the word “Chutzpah” as “gall, brazen nerve, effrontery.” The word is perfectly applicable to the Islamic state of Iran and its leaders with their extraordinary mockery of Western values and utterances of cynicism and barefaced prevarications. This cynicism differs from the kind of utter stupidity paraded by Tawfiq Tirawi, leading member of the Palestinian Central Committee of Fatah. His breathtaking contributions to knowledge were that Israel was responsible for poisoning Yasser Arafat and, on January 16, 2016, that Adolf Hitler was not morally corrupt, he was daring.

Farah Mohamed— What Everyday Iranians Have To Say About The Nuclear Deal Now That It’s A Reality: “The best resolution.” “A path to the progressive world.” “Nothing more than a piece of paper.” These are just some of the ways Iranians inside Iran described the nuclear deal to the WorldPost in August, when we partnered with the Washington-based Iranian human rights organization Abdorrahman Boroumand Foundation and used Facebook and the app Telegram to get — and translate from Farsi — reactions from inside the country.

SnyderTalk Comment: The problem with getting the “everyday Iranian’s” perspective on anything is that they could end up hanging from a crane in the public square if they say something that offends the mullahs.  That’s not a joke, and they know it.  They’ve learned that they had better be circumspect.

PoliticoBernie and Israel: It’s complicated— If Bernie Sanders defeats Hillary Clinton to win the Democratic nomination, he’ll be the first Jewish presidential nominee of a major political party. But when it comes to his views on Israel, some Jewish Democrats are scratching their heads in confusion. “His voting record on Israel recently is fine, absolutely fine,” said Steve Rabinowitz, a media consultant and former Clinton White House aide who supports Clinton. “I haven’t heard him once talk about it on the campaign trail. It’s as though he doesn’t utter the world Israel. It just strikes me as odd.” But over his career Sanders has cast some votes and made critical statements about Israel that unnerve some in the pro-Israel community. That’s all the more puzzling, some say, given his own heritage as the son of a Jewish immigrant father from Poland whose family was wiped out by the Nazis — and someone who spent time working on an Israeli kibbutz.

Todd Gitlin— There Is No Victory Without Anguish— In a recent essay titled “The Logic of the Beneficiary,” my Columbia colleague English professor Bruce Robbins, wreathes the boycott, divestment, and sanctions (BDS) movement with laurel leaves, but while making a spotty argument he does succeed in clarifying some of what’s at stake.

SnyderTalk Comment: See “Boycotting the Israeli Medical Association”.

Ingrid Carlqvist—Sweden: The Downfall of Wallström?: Sweden’s Foreign Minister Margot Wallström is in trouble again. This time it has nothing to do with her hostile statements towards Israel. Rather, it concerns the apartment she rents in central Stockholm — an arrangement that could lead to charges of bribery and standing trial. The National Anti-Corruption Unit has decided to open a preliminary investigation into the circumstances surrounding an apartment she obtained through the biggest labor union in Sweden, Kommunal.

Business InsiderHere’s why a once hostile Arab country may open up ties with Israel: Earlier this month, the Sudan News Agency reported that the country’s National Dialogue Conference endorsed “normal and conditioned” diplomatic relations with Israel. Khartoum has already switched sides in the unfolding Saudi-Iranian cold war, cutting off diplomatic ties with its former partners in Tehran at the behest of its now even closer Saudi allies.

Uzay BulutTurkey: Christian Refugees Live in Fear: Around 45,000 Armenian and Assyrian Christians (also known as Syriac and Chaldean) who fled Syria and Iraq and have settled in small Anatolian cities in Turkey, are forced to hide their religious identity, according to the Hurriyet daily newspaper. Since the Islamic State (ISIS) invaded Iraqi and Syrian cities, Christians and Yazidis have become the group’s main target, facing another possible genocide at the hands of Muslims. Anonis Alis Salciyan, an Armenian who fled Iraq for Turkey, told Hurriyet that in public, they pretend to be Muslim.

SnyderTalk Comment: Christian refugees live in fear of people like Erdogan.  He’s not ISIS, but he is Islamist—six of one, half a dozen of the other.  There is no telling what Erdogan would do if he thought he could get away with it.

Jerusalem PostPA intelligence officer arrested with others for attack on IDF soldier: Security forces acting on Shin Bet intelligence, arrested three members of a terrorist cell near Tulkarem on Friday. The suspects include a member of the Palestinian Authority’s General Intelligence Service, the Shin Bet added. The cell members allegedly carried out a gun attack on the army last week, injuring an IDF soldier.

SnyderTalk Comment: Trusting Palestinians is risky—either Hamas or Fatah.

Times of IsraelPalestinian killed by own bomb in attack on police in East Jerusalem: A Palestinian man was killed while attempting to attack Israeli Border Police in the East Jerusalem neighborhood of Abu Dis on Saturday night, when the bomb he was carrying apparently exploded prematurely.

SnyderTalk Comment: Abu Dis is SE of the Temple Mount.  It’s a long walk, so you aren’t likely to walk there accidentally.  That’s important for people like Katie and me.  We enjoy walking around Jerusalem.

If you are a first-time visitor to Israel, go with someone you know who knows where he is.  A wrong turn or a few hundred yards too far can be costly.

In some places, across the street is problematic.  The City of David is a perfect example.  It’s across the street from Silwan, a dangerous place.

CNNISIS releases new video of Paris attackers: ISIS has released a gruesome new propaganda video that purports to show final messages from the Paris attackers. The terror group has claimed responsibility for the November attack, which left 130 people dead.

SnyderTalk Comment: I agree with some of what she said, but I don’t agree with much of it.

This is a fact: Islamists have killed more Muslims than non-Muslims.  That’s something every Muslim needs to think about.

If the various faiths were social clubs or political organizations, her arguments would make a lot of sense, but they are not.  There really is a God.  His Name is Yahweh.  He will not tolerate worship of false gods by anyone.  He’s not a politician who is seeking popular support.  He is the Sovereign Creator and the ultimate Judge.  In the end, that will become obvious.

She’s right about Jordan’s inability to absorb all the Syrian “refugees”.  That makes no sense.

14--Blessings from Revelation 2

Blessings in the Book of Revelation is a book that you need to read, especially now.  There are blessings throughout the Scriptures but Revelation is the only book in the Bible actually containing a specific blessing for reading it. It’s repeated twice, once at the beginning and again at the end. This is the reason that I believe Revelation should be the first step toward studying biblical prophecy. Though not easy to do, Revelation can be broken down and understood by anyone, not just the academic elite. So, Revelation’s blessings are for everyone.  Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.

“The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one; I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me. Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory which You have given Me, for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.” (John 17: 22-24)
