Democrats are Concerned—they should be

In The Art of War, Sun Tzu said, “If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Judging by where we are as a nation, I think we fall into the last category.  We don’t know ourselves, and we don’t know our enemy.  If Sun Tzu was right, we are heading for defeat.

In an article titled “The Democrats Will Have a Shell Party if They Don’t Win the White House”, Ross Barkan puts his finger on the problem:

It doesn’t take much to get Jay Jacobs thinking apocalyptic thoughts. Just ask him what it will mean if a Republican is elected president later this year.

“Well, losing the White House wouldn’t be that important. Only the future of the country is at stake,” Mr. Jacobs, the chairman of the Nassau County Democratic Party, said in a recent interview. “If you listen to the cast of characters running on the Republican side, you have to be downright scared.”

There’s a lot to worry about if you’re a Democrat in 2016, putting aside the chaos in the Republican field or the fact that national elections have recently been the Democratic Party’s forte. It goes without saying a Republican president would set about eviscerating the Obama legacy, beginning with the Affordable Care Act and a historic climate change accord signed last year. Immigration reform would be indefinitely tabled.

The inverse would be true for Republicans, of course. A Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders victory would mean an extension and bolstering of the Obama legacy, a veritable dystopia for GOP voters everywhere.

The greater truth of 2016, however, is that the Republican Party can suffer another national loss and still retain the ability to reshape large swaths of the United States in its conservative image. With their firm control of the House, which may continue into the next decade, and dominance on the state level, the GOP will remain a substantial oppositional force for a President Clinton or Sanders.

Jay Jacobs is a typical Democrat.  He says that losing the White House in 2016 will mean that “the future of the country is at stake.”

He’s right.  The future of the country is at stake, and the Party of Perversity is concerned because people are beginning to wake up.  Under the bright light of truth, Democrats look hideous.

From the Democrat perspective,

  • abortion on demand without restraint is sacred,
  • gun ownership is loathsome,
  • turning our backs on our allies (Israel in particular) is the way to do business,
  • mainstreaming sodomy and dependency is good government,
  • coddling terrorists is compassionate, and
  • opening our borders to illegal immigrants makes America great.

Democrats fear that a Republican in the White House will reverse their “gains” under Obama.  They are right.  That’s why we need a Republican in the White House.

Many believers try to avoid politics.  I don’t blame them, but that’s not possible.  The people we elect to lead us tell us who we are as a nation.  We suffer as a nation because of the mistakes they make, and they have made plenty.

When Barack Obama was elected president, he set out to make this country over in his image.  Many of the things that he said he would do, he actually did.  For example, he said that he would destroy the coal industry.  He did it.

Obama didn’t tell us the whole truth while he was running for president in 2008 or 2012.  For instance, he was in favor of same-sex marriage all along.  David Axelrod, a close friend of Obama who served as Senior Advisor to the President in Obama’s first term, wrote about it in a book.

The president waited until he couldn’t run again before throwing the weight of his office behind mainstreaming sodomy.  That’s one of the things crooked politicians do.

We should have known about Obama before we elected him president the first time.  If we had doubts about him before the 2008 election, they were removed by the time the 2012 election rolled around.  We re-elected him anyway.

If you are a believer and you voted for Obama, you don’t have a good excuse.  Willful negligence and ignorance are your best options.

Obama won in 2008 because he was half-black.  He had nothing else to offer.  He won in 2012 because diehard Republicans didn’t want to vote for George Romney.  They saw him as a RINO, a Republican in name only, so they didn’t vote.

Under Obama and the Democrat Party, this nation has become more perverse over the last 7 years.  That’s not a partisan political statement.  It’s a factual statement.

For the record I used to be a Democrat, and I have never been a Republican.  That said, there can be no doubt about these facts:

  1. Every Democrat running for president proudly stands for things that Yahweh abhors. All of them insist that turning toward morality is a step backwards.
  2. There are several Republican candidates for president who are God-fearing men and women with lots of experience.

Under these conditions, there is no reason for a believer to vote for a Democrat.  It took me a while to realize that, but I finally got it.

Many believers still don’t get it.  They think that party affiliation is more important than Yahweh, and they can’t resist the impulse to vote for Democrats no matter what they stand for.

It is dangerous to place anything in front of Yahweh.  That’s what the 1st Commandment says: “I am Yahweh your God….You shall have no other gods before Me.”

Placing the Democrat Party or any party in front of Yahweh is worshipping a false god.  Anyone who doubts that should pray about it.

How many chances do you think Yahweh will give us before He drops the hammer?  I suspect that time has run out.

NBC NewsPope Warns Migrant Influx Threatens Europe’s ‘Humanistic Spirit’: Pope Francis warned Monday that the recent influx of migrants risked overwhelming European values and traditions, but said he was confident the continent could successfully integrate the newcomers.

SnyderTalk Comment: Humanism is a belief system that attaches principal importance to things human rather than divine.  It’s the antithesis of faith in Yahweh.

Humanists see people of faith as superstitious and ignorant.  The pope is speaking from the heart.

Jerusalem PostEurope concerned as scale of alleged migrant attacks on women grows: Swiss media contained numerous stories about sexual assaults on women by foreigners, fueling tensions ahead of a referendum next month.

Douglas Murray—Germany Just Can’t Get It Right: The late Robert Conquest once laid out a set of three political rules, the last of which read, “The simplest way to explain the behavior of any bureaucratic organization is to assume that it is controlled by a cabal of its enemies.” This rule comes in handy when trying to understand the otherwise clearly insane and suicidal policies of Chancellor Merkel’s government in Germany. These policies only make sense if the German government has in fact been taken over by a cabal of people intent not on holding Germany together but on pulling it entirely apart. Consider the evidence.

Burak Bekdil—Blame Terror on Everyone but Terrorists!: There is hardly anything surprising in the way Turkey’s Islamist leaders and their officials in the clergy diagnose jihadist terror: Blame it on everyone except the terrorists. President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the inventor of the theory that “there is no Islamic terror,” recently warned that “rising racism and enmity against Islam in Europe[an] and other countries” will cause great tragedies — like the Paris attacks.

Leon Aron—Poor, poor Putin: Russia is a new front for militant Islam:  As Russia deepens its involvement in Syria, it risks more than a military quagmire. Its intervention exacerbates a growing domestic threat, one that could destabilize the whole country. A new brand of radical Islam is rising in Russia, fueled by Russian fighters eager to perpetrate acts of terror at home.

WNDNew Hillary email dump: ‘I hate Israel’: In an explosive development, Hillary Clinton’s emails reveal the front-running Democrat for president received communications that say “I hate Israel” from the son of her most trusted adviser. Clinton’s email scandal goes “nuclear”.

SnyderTalk Comment: Hillary hates Israel too, but she won’t say it.

CNNExclusive: North Korea reveals alleged US prisoner to CNN in Pyongyang: Is North Korea holding an American prisoner? That’s what a man CNN spoke to in Pyongyang claims. As tensions on the Korean peninsula continued to rise and Seoul and Washington officials discussed the potential deployment of more troops to South Korea, officials in Pyongyang gave CNN exclusive access to a man North Korea claims is a U.S. citizen arrested on espionage charges. Speaking to CNN’s Will Ripley, the man identified himself as Kim Dong Chul, a naturalized American, who said he used to live in Fairfax, Virginia.

PoliticoObama, GOP Congress near end of long, ugly relationship: It’s happened over and over again since 2011. A deadline quickly approaches. Congressional Republicans and President Barack Obama are locked in a stare-down for weeks. Then, just before calamity hits, a deal is struck — usually. But as Obama comes to Capitol Hill for his final State of the Union address on Tuesday, the political dynamics have shifted dramatically. Both sides have lost their most powerful tool to get stuff done — leverage.

TIMEYemen Is the Latest Victim of the Increase in Iran-Saudi Arabia Tension: When an airstrike hit near the Iranian embassy in Sanaa on Friday, the incident underscored a harsh political reality: Saudi Arabia and Iran are locked in a spiraling regional showdown, and few places will suffer more than Yemen.

Wall Street JournalReport on Cologne New Year’s Eve Assaults Says Overwhelmed Forces Declined to Call for Help: Police in Cologne were overwhelmed, unable to assist victims, and yet declined to call for extra help as hundreds of people, mainly women, were robbed or sexually assaulted on New Year’s Eve.

ABC NewsPakistan, Afghanistan, China, US Seek Roadmap to Peace: A key gathering was underway Monday in Islamabad with four countries — Afghanistan, Pakistan, China and the United States — hoping to lay the roadmap to peace for the war-shattered Afghan nation. The meeting comes as Afghanistan’s battlefield losses are mounting and some parts of the country are under constant threat from Taliban gunmen. Taliban representatives have not been invited to the talks, vowing to talk only to the U.S. and not to the government in Kabul.

Jerusalem PostPro-Israel Italian group accuses world of hypocrisy in Tel Aviv protest: During Saturday night’s demonstration, Italian Jewish immigrants and representatives of Project Dreyfus from Italy, stood silently, some holding cutout silhouettes of world leaders they accused of holding Israel to a double standard.

Business InsiderThe greatest threat in the Middle East is ‘going to get much worse before it gets better’: Sectarian divisions in the Middle East are only getting worse, and there’s little sign that tensions in the region will abate before they explode into war, experts say.

NBC NewsMany Germans’ Views on Foreigners Change After Cologne Sex Attacks: More than one-third of Germans said their view of foreigners had worsened following a New Year’s Eve spate of at least 200 alleged sex assaults carried out mostly by North African men in Cologne, according to a new survey.

AlgemeinerLeft-Wing Activists Helping PA Prevent Land Sale to Jews: “Every society has its fringe members and attention-seekers, and Israel has more than its fair share,” the head of a prominent watchdog group told The Algemeiner on Sunday. “But this case is especially egregious.” Prof. Gerald M. Steinberg, founder and president of Israel-based NGO Monitor, was responding to a recent scandal surrounding the participation of left-wing Israeli activists in the endeavor of preventing Palestinians from selling land to Jews. Among these activists is a member of the foreign-funded NGO B’Tselem.

14--Blessings from Revelation 2

Blessings in the Book of Revelation is a book that you need to read, especially now.  There are blessings throughout the Scriptures but Revelation is the only book in the Bible actually containing a specific blessing for reading it. It’s repeated twice, once at the beginning and again at the end. This is the reason that I believe Revelation should be the first step toward studying biblical prophecy. Though not easy to do, Revelation can be broken down and understood by anyone, not just the academic elite. So, Revelation’s blessings are for everyone.  Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.
