Washington Post—Philadelphia police: Attacker ‘tried to execute’ officer, pledged allegiance to the Islamic State:

A police officer in Philadelphia was shot multiple times late Thursday by an attacker who told authorities he had pledged loyalty to the Islamic State.

The officer survived the “unprovoked” shooting and returned fire, hitting the attacker, who survived and was taken into custody, Richard Ross Jr., the city’s new police commissioner, said at a news conference.

SnyderTalk Comment: Ready or not, here they are.

If you are an Obama supporter, you probably won’t understand this, but now is the time to stock up on guns and ammo.  If you don’t have what you need when you are attacked, game over.

In the days ahead, many Obama supporters might qualify for the Darwin Award.  Maybe they can tell their attackers that they voted for Obama, twice.

The thought of that happening makes me laugh.  It would make a great SNL skit.

SnyderTalk Comment: I’m reminded of the man who was accused of rape. His defense? I only raped her a little.

Obama supporters won’t see the symbolism.

Below are some phrases that the British didn’t understand in the 1700s. Obama supporters won’t understand them or the symbolism, either:

  • “No taxation without representation.”
  • “Give me liberty or give me death.”
  • “These are the times that try men’s souls.”
  • “The distinctions between Virginians, Pennsylvanians, New Yorkers, and New Englanders are no more. I Am Not A Virginian, But An American!”
  • “I have not yet begun to fight.”
  • “Don’t fire unless fired upon, but if they mean to have a war, let it begin here.”
  • “If there must be trouble, let it be in my day, that my child may have peace.”

Obama and people of his ilk see the Constitution as an obstacle. It prevents them from imposing their will on the masses. That’s why they bypass it and want to reduce it to scrap paper.

Guns are not Obama’s ultimate objective, and a tax on tea didn’t start the American Revolution.

Again, Obama and people like him don’t get it. That’s too bad.

PoliticoObama’s 2016 gun terms might leave Sanders without White House support: President Barack Obama might have trouble campaigning for Sen. Bernie Sanders if he becomes the Democratic nominee—at least if Obama sticks to the terms he laid out in his op-ed on gun control published Thursday night. “I will not campaign for, vote for or support any candidate, even in my own party, who does not support common-sense gun reform,” Obama wrote in The New York Times.

SnyderTalk Comment: I have a similar belief.  I won’t vote for any Democrat under any circumstances for any office at any level of government.

The Party of Perversity has gone too far.

What is “common-sense gun reform”?  Under Obama and the Party of Perversity, that’s anybody’s guess.

Giving them one inch of ground is too much.  I don’t trust them no matter what they say.

Here are some reasons why:

  • “If you like your plan, you can keep your plan. Period!”
  • “Marriage is between a man and a woman.”
  • “You won’t know what’s in it until we pass it.”

The point is that Democrats say what they think they need to say.  When they have power, they do what they want to do.

What do they want to do?  If you think they don’t want guns in the hands of private citizens, you are correct.

The 2nd Amendment was included in the Constitution for times like these.

Washington PostThe widow of ‘American Sniper’ Chris Kyle’s strong defense of gun rights [Video included]: The gun-control debate has become one of the most divisive and talked-about issues of the 2016 presidential campaign, in the wake of mass shootings in Oregon and California.

SnyderTalk Comment: There is a video in this article that you need to watch.

AlgemeinerIsraeli Official Blasts Abbas for ‘Perplexing’ Leadership, ‘Many Contradictions’: A senior Israeli government official blasted Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas for comments he made during a televised speech from his Bethlehem office on Wednesday night. “There are so many contradictions in Abu Mazen’s [Abbas’] stance in general that it’s difficult to know where to start.”

Hadar Sela—The BBC Says Only Jews Can Be Terrorists, Not Palestinians: BBC coverage of the ongoing wave of Palestinian terrorism against Israelis has been hallmarked by blanket avoidance of the use of the word terror to describe the attacks, or of the term terrorist to describe the perpetrators.

Jacob Kornbluh—Democratic Lawmakers Call for Immediate Sanctions on Iran over Missile Tests: Seven Democratic lawmakers on Wednesday called on the Obama Administration to impose immediate punitive sanctions in response to Iran’s recent violations of UN Security Council resolutions by conducting two ballistic missile tests. “We call on the Administration to immediately announce new U.S. sanctions against individuals and entities involved in Iran’s ballistic missile program to ensure Iran is held accountable for its actions.” A letter sent to President Obama was signed by Representatives Nita Lowey, Eliot Engel, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Albio Sires, Gerry Connolly, Susan Davis and Jerry Nadler.

Times of IsraelNew Mossad Chief: Iran Deal “Significantly Increases” Threat to Israel: The nuclear agreement with Iran signed in July has “significantly increased” the threat to Israel posed by the Islamic republic, Yossi Cohen warned Wednesday as he was sworn in as the new head of the Mossad intelligence agency. “The key challenge is the Iranian threat. Despite the nuclear deal – I think because of it – the threat has significantly increased.” “Iran continues to call for Israel’s destruction, while intensifying its military capabilities and strengthening its grip on the region,” Cohen said. “It employs terror cells as a means to achieve these goals.”

Dan Drollette, Jr.—A Saudi View of Iran: Prince Turki al-Faisal, a senior member of the Saudi royal family, was a Saudi ambassador to the U.S. and UK, and served as head of the Saudi General Intelligence Directorate for more than 20 years. He said in an interview: “We’re the ones who suffer from Iran’s politics and policies. If you look at the whole range of Iranian interference, you look at Lebanon, Palestine, Syria, Iraq, Bahrain, Yemen, there’s a whole host of problems for us, with Iran being the initiator and the instigator and the inciter of instability and negative issues in the area.”

BBCIslamic State militant ‘executes own mother’ in Raqqa: An Islamic State militant carried out a public “execution” of his mother because she asked him to leave the group, activists say.

SnyderTalk Comment: She must have been an “ordinary peaceful Muslim”.

These people are crazy, and they are well-armed and well-financed.

HaaretzEgypt Asks Israel to Keep Turkey Away From Gaza: Egypt has approached Israel asking for clarifications regarding recent progress in its reconciliatory talks with Turkey. Senior officials in Jerusalem told Haaretz that Egypt expressed its reservations regarding granting Turkey a role in the Gaza Strip.

SnyderTalk Comment: That tells us a lot.  Are we paying attention?

I am.  Obama isn’t.  Are you?

Al-MonitorFirst the Middle East, now Central Asia slipping away from Turkey: Turkey – which with its deterioration in relations with Syria, Iraq, Libya, Egypt and Israel lost its economic, political and diplomatic influence in the Middle East – is now on the verge of losing Central Asia because of Ankara’s crisis with Russia.

Jewish Telegraphic AgencyIsrael sees 25-percent decrease in terrorist attacks: The Israel Security Agency, or Shin Bet, recorded in December a total of 246 attacks by Palestinians on Israel compared to 326 in November, the organization said in its monthly report released earlier this week.

Jerusalem PostAnalysis: Fatah, Hamas pledge more violence against Israel in 2016: In separate messages to the Palestinians on New Year’s Eve, the two rival Palestinian parties pledged to pursue, and even step up, “resistance” attacks against Israel. Needless to say, the messages did not make any reference to peace.

Times of IsraelEast Jerusalem Hamas cell ‘planned to kill Netanyahu’: The Jerusalem District Attorney’s Office filed an indictment with the city’s district court on Friday against two Arab Israeli residents of East Jerusalem who allegedly plotted to kill Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during an event at the capital. According to the indictment, Hazem Ziad Amran Sandouqa, a 22-year-old resident of Jerusalem’s Old City, and Fahdi Daoud Muhammad Abu Qaian, a 19-year-old Bedouin Israeli from the Negev, planned, along with Hamas activist Ahmad Jamal Mousa Azzam, 24, to plant explosives in the Jerusalem Payis Arena at a time when Netanyahu would be scheduled to speak at the site, Ynet reported.

AlgemeinerIsraeli Special Forces Kill Tel Aviv Pub Gunman in Wadi Ara Shootout: The Wadi Ara man who opened fire and killed two young men at a Tel Aviv pub last Friday was shot dead by security forces in an exchange of fire on Friday night, Israeli police officials said. Nashat Milhem, 29, was killed by Yamam special police forces and Shin Bet agents in a gun battle outside a residential building in the northern Israeli town of Arara.

Khaled Abu Toameh—Palestinian Authority, Hamas, Responsible for Torture: The Palestinian Authority and Hamas are torturing Palestinians. Still. The two Palestinian governments, the Palestinian Authority (PA) in the West Bank and Hamas in the Gaza Strip, are both major violators of human rights. Assaults on public freedoms and crackdowns on political rivals are just the first chapters of a very long story. Yet this narrative does not appeal to the international community, especially the mainstream media and human rights organizations in the West. For them, human rights violations are news only when they come with a “made in Israel” sticker on them.

Judith Bergman—Is Europe Giving Up?: The cathedral opposite the main train station used to be the traditional gathering spot for New Year’s Eve revelers in the German city of Cologne. This year, Germans who poured out from the train station to celebrate the New Year they were met by a crowd of some 1000 young men. The men, according to German police, seemed to be of Arab or North African origin. They had taken over the entire public square in front of the station, and divided themselves into smaller gangs to surround women who were passing by. They then sexually assaulted them, and stole their wallets, purses and phones. Police have so far received over 100 criminal complaints; three-quarters of them for sexual assault, and one for rape.

14--Blessings from Revelation 2

Blessings in the Book of Revelation is a book that you need to read, especially now.  There are blessings throughout the Scriptures but Revelation is the only book in the Bible actually containing a specific blessing for reading it. It’s repeated twice, once at the beginning and again at the end. This is the reason that I believe Revelation should be the first step toward studying biblical prophecy. Though not easy to do, Revelation can be broken down and understood by anyone, not just the academic elite. So, Revelation’s blessings are for everyone.  Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.
