Attempts to Reform Islam are Doomed to Failure

Attempts to reform Islam are doomed to failure.  That’s not my opinion.  I’m quoting Unthman Badar, spokesman for Hizb-ut-Tahrir.

Hizb-ut-Tahrir is a radical pan-Islamic group in Australia that believes Muslims should not be required to sing Australia’s national anthem among other things.

Sounds innocuous enough, doesn’t it?

If we haven’t learned anything else from ISIS, we have learned this: radical Islamists say what they mean and mean what they say.

When they tell us that there is no hope of reforming Islam, they know what they are talking about.  They will make certain that it won’t happen.

All across Europe, in the U.S., and in Australia, Islamists simultaneously are implementing a well-orchestrated strategy.  People who believe that’s just coincidence are the kinds of people that Islamists are counting on for support.  Vladimir Lenin called people like them “useful idiots”.

The current Islamist campaign is part of the process of Islamification, i.e., turning the whole world into an Islamic empire under Sharia law.  The first step in the process was to infiltrate and grow their numbers.  That’s been done already.  Now they think that they have enough adherents and resources to move ahead more aggressively.

That’s what we are witnessing.  Paris and San Bernardino are parts of it, but there are many more examples.

Eventually, Islamists plan to require all of us to convert to Islam or pay the price.  We’ve seen this pattern before, but you have to know something about history to understand it.

It started in 610 A.D.  This is just a continuation.

The video below was prepared by a Sunni Muslim woman who sees the problem and wants something done about it.  She has been warning about the dangers of radical Islam for more than 2 decades:

The URL is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pSPvnFDDQHk.

The situation in Australia was discussed in an article titled “MUSLIMS ARE OFFENDED AT NATIONAL ANTHEM: They Say It’s Forcing Them To…:

Everybody’s favorite militant and oppressive- yet somehow peace-loving- cult of religious immigrants is back in the news. Last week, we reported on things getting serious in the U.K., today it’s all about Great Brit’s former colony of criminals, Australia. Yep, after escaping to Down Under and western freedom, a glut of Islamists now declare that Australia has no right to ask Muslims to sing their national anthem or value the democratic principles of western citizenship.

This, according to Islamic activist group, Hizb-ut-Tahrir, which is campaigning against Australia because they believe the country is enforcing democratic values and a “disputed view” of history which contradicts Islamic beliefs.

“Requiring schoolchildren to sing the national anthem, and the citizenship pledge supporting democratic values, are a part of an oppressive campaign by Australian authorities of ‘forced assimilation’ of the Muslim community”.

– Hizb-ut-Tahrir spokesman, Unthman Badar

[…]

Mr. Badar makes another crucial point when he states, “The attempt to reform Islam is doomed to failure.” Truer words have never been spoken. Sharia living is inseparable from Islam as any Muslim who admits to living under the Quran will tell you. The so-called western Muslims are keeping quiet about all these “Bad Muslims” either because they’re in abject denial about true Islam, in outright disobedience – which would be a death sentence – or are secretly supportive. Either way, it’s past time western leaders took a page out of Islam’s dedication and started identifying liberty-centric principles to stand up for exactly what democracy is and… is not. Anyone who wants to stand on our side of the line is welcome, anyone who doesn’t can go back home and rape your own women and embrace global hate.

It’s a culture clash or a clash of civilizations.  It’s real; it’s growing; and it has gone too far to pretend that it doesn’t exist or that it’s not a problem.

I think the author of the article above is correct: “Sharia living is inseparable from Islam as any Muslim who admits to living under the Quran will tell you.”

The majority of people today who call themselves Muslims aren’t really Muslims.  Not only do they not live according to Sharia law, they don’t want to.  For lack of a better word, we call them “ordinary Muslims”.

They reject what Islamists stand for.  Who can blame them?  Murdering people who disagree with their religious views and butchering “ordinary Muslims” is offensive to them.  So are honor killings, forced societal dress codes, grown men marrying 5-year-old girls, sex slavery, and a host of other things.

Anyone who says that those things are not part of Islam doesn’t know what he’s talking about.  They are Islamic at the core.

In due course, “ordinary Muslims” will have to consider what that means.  When they do, many of them will turn away from Islam.  Others will go the Islamist route.  There is no in-between.

Contemporary Christianity has problems, too.  Most “Christians” are Christians in name only.  They know virtually nothing about the Bible, and they have only a vague idea about who the Messiah is.  To them, a personal relationship with Him sounds crazy.

If they don’t have a change of heart, one day they will hear these words: “I never knew you.”  What comes next for them defies description.

Their ignorance is profound.  If you ask a typical Christian to tell you the Name in which we have salvation, he wouldn’t have a clue.  It’s Yahweh—not Jesus.  (See His Name is Yahweh for details.)

The importance of the Name is spelled out so clearly and emphasized so often in the Bible that every believer should know the answer.

An “ordinary Christian” may have memorized John 3: 16 as a boy in Sunday School.  That may be the only verse of Scripture that he knows.  Few “ordinary Christians” have ever read or memorized John 3: 36.  Since they are so close together in the Bible, that’s surprising:

  • John 3: 16—“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.
  • John 3: 36—”He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”

Obedience is important.  Thankfully, mindless butchery isn’t part of Yahweh’s program, and it hasn’t been part of the institutional church’s program for hundreds of years.  Islam has a long way to go in that regard.

I distinguished between Yahweh’s and the institutional church’s programs for a reason.  They are not the same thing.

The battle looming on the horizon isn’t between the political left and right or Democrats and Republicans.  It’s not a fight between people who call themselves “Muslims” and “Christians”, either.  It’s a fight between radical Islam and everyone else on the planet.

Like it or not, all of us are in the game.  It’s unavoidable.

Those who don’t believe in God are in the game, too.  They have no choice.  Islamists have made that clear.

In the truest sense, we are witnessing a global struggle to determine who God is and what He requires.  It’s not obvious yet, but it will be soon enough.

There are no benchwarmers.  All of us are on the field every day.  That’s the message of Paris and San Bernardino.

When we least expect it, we may be called upon to step up.  Will we be ready?

This clash is taking center stage as we go into the 2016 presidential election.  In civilized societies, the political arena is where the battle should be fought, but as we have learned, it’s taking place in schools, restaurants, office buildings, and other places where innocent people gather.

Proponents of Sharia law are using guns and bombs instead of votes to get their point across.  And they wonder why the rest of us think their religion isn’t peaceful.

Again, I’m not talking about “ordinary Muslims”.  They are targets of radical Islamists, too.

Anyone who believes that she isn’t in this battle and that it can’t or won’t reach her hasn’t been reading or watching the news.  Before this thing is over, every living soul will have to take a stand.

I call it “the world vs. radical Islam.”  It’s World War III, and we’re in it.

As they say, “You can’t run, and you can’t hide.”

Getting that message across to believers is difficult.  Getting it across to unbelievers is almost impossible.

I said “almost” because Yahweh can do anything—even penetrate thick skulls.  I know it because He penetrated mine.

There will be winners and losers.  This is a fight that we can’t afford to lose.  The consequences are too horrific.

Thankfully, Yahweh will settle it once and for all when He returns.  He can’t lose.

Until He returns, we will have problems, and they will get worse going forward.

Vijeta Uniyal—ISIS Sets Its Sights on the East

The Islamic State (ISIS) is apparently planning to subjugate and conquer the ancient civilizations of the East as part of its worldwide jihad.

The Islamic State’s newly-released manifesto contains, among the ideological positions and strategic objectives of the self-proclaimed Islamic Caliphate, direct threats to Hindus and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The 130-page English-language manifesto, entitled “Black Flags from the Islamic State (2016),” was uploaded in early December on various online forums sympathetic to the Islamic State. Previously, in July 2015, ISIS had circulated another document declaring its ambitions of expanding its Jihad into India.

This month’s ISIS manifesto claims India as part of Islamic Caliphate and, referring to the recent resurgence of Hindus in the country, states: “a movement of Hindus is growing who kill Muslims who eat beef.”

Uzay Bulut—ISIS Selling Yazidi Women and Children in Turkey:

  • “Some of those women and girls have had to watch 7-, 8-, and 9-year-old children bleed to death before their eyes, after being raped by ISIS militia multiple times a day.” — Mirza Ismail, chairman of the Yazidi Human Rights Organization-International.
  • “An office has been established by ISIS members in Antep [Turkey]; and at that office, women and children kidnapped by ISIS are sold for high amounts of money. Where are the ministers and law enforcement officers of this county who are talking about stability?” — Reyhan Yalcindag, prominent Kurdish human rights lawyer.
  • “Five thousand people have been taken as captives. Women and children are raped, and then sold. These must be considered crimes.” — Leyla Ferman, Co-President of the Yazidi Federation of Europe.
  • “Turkey has signed several international treaties, but it is the number one country when it comes to professional non-compliance with human rights treaties.” — Reyhan Yalcindag.

CNNPutin: ‘If necessary, we will use’ advanced military capability in Syria:

Russia will use more advanced military force against terror groups in Syria “if necessary,” President Vladimir Putin said Saturday.

His comments came a day after the United Nations Security Council approved a resolution that supports an international effort to find a political solution to the 5-year-old civil war in Syria.

Russia has supported Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, but the United States wants him removed. The two countries, however, have found common ground in launching airstrikes against the terror group ISIS based in Syria.

Putin focused on his own military’s performance in Syria.

“We see how effectively our pilots and intelligence officers work in Syria and how effectively they coordinate their efforts,” Putin said at a Kremlin event honoring security service employees, according to the Sputnik state-run news agency.

Ynet NewsNetanyahu and Erdogan’s shared interests:

The normalization of relations between Israel and Turkey is a welcome occurrence in nearly everyone’s minds. The Turkish willingness to import gas from Israel is also a positive development. That’s why the breakthrough in the negotiations which have been going on for five years now, which was announced by an “Israeli source” and confirmed later by Turkish sources, is good news. But it seems celebrations are premature, and definitely exaggerated – and that the announcement of this progress was publicized mainly because of the interests shared by Netanyahu and Erdogan.

The celebrations are exaggerated because there is yet no agreement between Turkey and Israel regarding the normalization of relations. Turkey is still demanding that Israel remove its naval blockade of Gaza, a blockade which Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan calls a “siege”. Israel is claiming that there is no siege of Gaza, and rightfully so, and for the time being it doesn’t seem like the PM or Defense Minister are even considering removing the naval blockade. Such a move would allow Hamas’ military wing to import weapons not only from Iran, but from Libya and other places as well.

ReutersTurkey says will continue to move troops from northern Iraqi province:

Turkey has acknowledged a “miscommunication” with Iraq over its deployment of troops to the Bashiqa military base in northern Iraq, Turkey’s foreign ministry said on Saturday.

The ministry said Turkey would continue to move some of its troops out of Nineveh province, where the camp is based. It did not say how many troops would be moved or where to.

Turkey deployed hundreds of troops in the Bashiqa area this month, with the stated aim of protecting its military personnel training Iraqi militia to fight against Islamic State. Baghdad has criticized the deployment and demanded Turkey pull them out.

Jerusalem PostIsrael to ease its blockade of Gaza, reports Turkish newspaper:

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said that the lifting of the siege on Gaza is a basic condition for him to complete reconciliation with Israel; stresses that Ankara will not give up the issue.

PoliticoUntangling Turkey’s Middle East allegiances:

The northwestern corner of Syria is home to a dizzying spectrum of anti-Assad forces. Weapons — and fighters — have amassed in the area in large part thanks to Turkey’s “open door” policy, which makes the passage relatively painless. When Turkey’s ethnic brethren, the Turkmen, recently became the targets of Russian air strikes — prompting, perhaps, Turkey’s decision to shoot down a Russian fighter jet on November 24 — the incident brought Turkey’s murky relationship with a tangled web of jihadist groups to the fore.

Ankara’s ties with the extremists are anything but straightforward. What’s clear is that Turkey has taken clear sides in the civil war in Syria, took a laissez-faire approach to the frontier with Syria and more recently felt the terrorist blowback from Syria.

Jerusalem PostIsrael Suddenly Unpopular with Presidential Wannabes:

In recent years until just now, part of the right of passage for those running to be running for the United States Presidency made a point of visiting Israel, claiming sympathy and support and always promised to recognize Jerusalem as Capital and other such lies. And of course they have great and moving speeches written for the occasion. And Israeli politicians and most of the public become all enthusiastic and enamored. And with those running and competing to get the Republican nomination, especially considering the now very chilly/frigid statements coming from the Obama White House we had been certain that we’d be entertaining lots of Republican hopefuls.

But all of a sudden the two Republican front-runners, the two most unlikely candidates, Donald Trump and Ben Carson both canceled their trips to Israel. Has Israel lost its luster, or have the wannabes begun to realize that no matter what they say here, they’re going to anger a lot of people? It would be like walking through a minefield or a park where dogs leave their “droppings.”

Richard Prasquier—Terrorism: Where to Turn?

After the November 13 attacks in Paris, there were concerns in the media that Europe did not fully understand the gravity of the threats posed by radical Islam. Frances’s Minister of the Interior, Bernard Cazeneuve, however, certainly did not hide his prediction that, this year, a large scale attack would take place in France. It was not a matter of “if,” but “when” and “where.”

Thoughts first were for the victims, for those who will suffer all their lives — young people who went out just to enjoy some music or eat with friends.

Next came the questions: about the claim of responsibility by ISIS, and how the coordinated attacks would nullify the “lone wolf” theory — a hypothesis largely refuted anyway. These were commandos trained to kill, and to kill themselves too.

But what about the agile explosives handlers who prepare their suicide bomb belts and continue their grim task elsewhere? Perhaps they are preparing a second wave of “martyr attacks” in France? It is urgent to take their network down. One can only hope that any steps will not too quickly trigger the angelic protest of those who would prefer having lily white hands to having no hands at all.

A thought that is usually ducked — when one does not understand something, one puts it out of his head — is that often terrorists hope to live. Not so in the Paris attacks: the terrorists knew they would die and specifically intended to reach the Paradise of Allah and the rewards waiting for them there.

4--Scripture of the Day Yahweh

Exodus 32

19 It came about, as soon as Moses came near the camp, that he saw the calf and the dancing; and Moses’ anger burned, and he threw the tablets from his hands and shattered them at the foot of the mountain. 20 He took the calf which they had made and burned it with fire, and ground it to powder, and scattered it over the surface of the water and made the sons of Israel drink it. 21 Then Moses said to Aaron, “What did this people do to you, that you have brought such great sin upon them?” 22 Aaron said, “Do not let the anger of my lord burn; you know the people yourself, that they are prone to evil. 23 For they said to me, ‘Make a god for us who will go before us; for this Moses, the man who brought us up from the land of Egypt, we do not know what has become of him.’ 24 I said to them, ‘Whoever has any gold, let them tear it off.’ So they gave it to me, and I threw it into the fire, and out came this calf.”

14--Blessings from Revelation 2

Blessings in the Book of Revelation is a book that you need to read, especially now.  There are blessings throughout the Scriptures but Revelation is the only book in the Bible actually containing a specific blessing for reading it. It’s repeated twice, once at the beginning and again at the end. This is the reason that I believe Revelation should be the first step toward studying biblical prophecy. Though not easy to do, Revelation can be broken down and understood by anyone, not just the academic elite. So, Revelation’s blessings are for everyone.  Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.
