December 9, 2015 SnyderTalk: ‘Palestinian refusal to accept Jewish state is core problem’

1--Intro Covering Israel and ME

“For from the rising of the sun even to its setting, My Name will be great among the Gentiles, and in every place incense is going to be offered to My Name, and a grain offering that is pure; for My Name will be great among the Gentiles,” says Yahweh Sabaoth. (Malachi 1: 11)

“But now, thus says Yahweh, your Creator, O Jacob, and He who formed you, O Israel, ‘Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by Name; you are Mine!’” (Isaiah 43: 1)

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares Yahweh, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11)

“Trust in Yahweh with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:5-6)

Shlomo Cesana, Israel Hayom Staff and Reuters—’Palestinian refusal to accept Jewish state is core problem’:

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday said the issue preventing a peace agreement with the Palestinians was their refusal to recognize a Jewish state.

“It is because the Palestinians have not been willing to cross the emotional and conceptual bridge of a state next to Israel, not one instead of Israel,” Netanyahu said from Jerusalem in a video address to the Saban Forum in Washington. “The only workable solution is not a unitary state, but a demilitarized Palestinian state that recognizes the Jewish state.”

Netanyahu dismissed suggestions by U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry that continued construction in Judea and Samaria raises questions about Israel’s intentions.

“They refuse to recognize a nation-state for the Jewish people in any boundary,” Netanyahu said of the Palestinians. “That was and remains the core issue.”

SnyderTalk Comment: Palestinian refusal to accept the Jewish State of Israel is a core problem, but it’s not the only problem.

Both the Hamas and Palestinian charters call for Israel’s total annihilation.

Both Hamas and Palestinian leaders order, direct, and fund terrorist attacks against Israel on a daily basis.

Most of the terrorist attacks fail, but some of them result in horrific murders of innocent victims.

When an innocent Israeli is murdered by a Palestinian terrorist, there is dancing in the streets of Gaza and the West Bank.  They name public places and streets after terrorists who commit heinous crimes against Israeli Jews.

Palestinian leaders hate Israel.  They have no intention of entering into a peace arrangement with them.  Everything they do and say about peace is for public consumption only.  Among themselves and in their media, Israel’s destruction is the only thing they talk about.

There can be no peace and trying to impose peace only makes matters worse.

Why?

Palestinians play a public relations game every time a serious peace initiative is announced.  That includes fomenting unrest to which Israel must respond.  Then they blame Israel for protecting her citizens.  Regrettably, useful idiots in the U.S. and Europe buy it hook, line, and sinker.

In a nutshell, Palestinians try to block progress each step of the way.  It begins with mention of the word “peace”.

That’s what history shows.  Palestinian behavior has been consistent for almost 7 decades.  Nothing changes except the cast of characters on the Palestinian side and the latest crop of peaceniks in the West who ignore the facts.

Israel is hungry for peace, too hungry.  Many Israelis would accept peace at any price.  That’s foolish, but it’s the truth.

Times of IsraelExpert: Palestinian Terror Is Directed from Above:

Young Palestinians, many of them teenagers, are setting out to stab random Israelis, frequently losing their lives in the process. What are they hoping to achieve? MK Anat Berko (Likud) spent two decades as a criminologist specializing in suicide terrorists. So great were her listening skills that prisoners would talk to her for hours, hug her, cry and even give her their babies to hold.

Berko says the attackers are committing these acts for the sake of “glory” on social media and in Palestinian society, and they compete over who can be the biggest hero. The terrorists do not think death is the end, but fully believe they will enter paradise. Berko says many young Palestinians live in communities with a tremendous amount of social pressure, prohibitions and shame. In paradise, they can experience all the things that are forbidden in real life.

Berko says there is a normalization of violence in Palestinian society, with children’s television praising martyrs while al-Qaeda and Islamic State have upped the ante for brutality among would-be terrorists. “I don’t accept the idea that these are lone wolves. This wave of terror is directed from above. The incitement is insane. It’s on TV, satellite broadcasts, in mosques, on the street and in schools, including east Jerusalem….It’s so bad that it’s a surprise that not everyone is a terrorist.”

CNNSan Bernardino shooter supported ISIS, was ‘fixated’ on Israel, father says:

Both killers in last week’s San Bernardino, California, shooting “were radicalized and have been for quite some time,” said David Bowdich, assistant director of the FBI’s Los Angeles field office. “The question for us is how, and by whom, and where were they radicalized? Maybe there’s not a by whom,” Bowdich told reporters Monday. “Oftentimes it’s on the Internet, and we don’t know.”

So far, he said, investigators haven’t found any evidence of a plot for the attack extending outside the continental United States.

“Right now we’re looking at these two individuals,” Bowdich said, “and we are beginning to focus, to build it out from there.”

The killers participated in target practice at ranges in the Los Angeles area before the shooting, Bowdich said. In at least one occasion, he said, the target practice occurred within days of the shooting.

[…]

Farook was “fixated” on Israel and supported ISIS’ ideology of establishing an Islamic caliphate, his father told an Italian newspaper.

Before the shooting, the younger Farook had expressed some troubling beliefs, his father told La Stampa newspaper.

“He said he shared the ideology of (Abu Bakr) al-Baghdadi to create an Islamic state, and he was fixated on Israel,” the elder Farook said, referring to the ISIS leader.

SnyderTalk Comment: The fixation on Israel is not unusual for these types of people.  They are Satan’s pawns.

Satan is fixated on Israel because Israel is the recipient of Yahweh’s promises.  The rest of the world has access to those promises through the Messiah.  He was a Jew and a Child of Israel.

Huffington PostChristian Crusaders Urged to Arm for Liberty:

Jerry Falwell Jr., current President of Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, urged all students at the school’s convocation on Friday, December 4 to apply for concealed-carry permits so they can proudly bear firearms around the campus.

“I’ve always thought that if more good people had concealed-carry permits, then we could end those Muslims before they walked in,” he proclaimed to the loud unrestrained applause of students. “I just wanted to take this opportunity to encourage all of you to get your permit. We offer a free course,” he said. “Let’s teach them a lesson if they ever show up here.”

SnyderTalk Comment: I think it’s a good idea for Christian colleges to think about moving in this direction, but this is evidence of something that I know will happen.  As more people arm themselves specifically to defend against Islamist attacks, some of them will seek out the enemy, if you will.

That’s called vigilante justice.  It’s dangerous for everyone.

More gun restrictions won’t solve this problem.  Dealing with the threat will.

The Jewish PressTwo Arrested for Temple Mount Prayers:

Two people were arrested by Israeli police on Monday morning for praying on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, according to TPS reports.

The first man arrested was a Rabbi from Beit Shemesh who said the “Aleinu L’Shabeach” prayer, one of the oldest prayers in Judaism.

He has since been released and a court hearing has been scheduled for him.

The second person arrested said a “Mishaberach l’Cholim” (Prayer for the sick).

He’s currently still in custody.

Both are being assisted by lawyers from Honeinu.

SnyderTalk Comment: Few in the Israeli government today resemble Elijah.

Yahoo NewsKerry’s ‘one state’ comments cause consternation in Israel:

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry has set off a furor in Israel by suggesting that Israel was destroying itself as a Jewish state.

Kerry told a conference on Israeli affairs in Washington on Saturday that through its continued occupation of the West Bank, Israel could make it impossible to partition the land between Jewish and Palestinian states. He said the alternative would have to be a “binational state” in which Jews and Palestinians live together in one state, ending Israel’s Jewish majority.

“The one-state solution is no solution at all for a secure, Jewish, democratic Israel living in peace, it is simply not a viable option,” Kerry said.

The U.S., along with most of the international community, has long argued that a “two-state solution” — establishing a Palestinian state and ending Israel’s control over millions of Palestinians in territories occupied in the 1967 war — is the best way of creating a long-term peace.

SnyderTalk Comment: Kerry creates a furor every time he opens his mouth.  Trouble is, he doesn’t know it.  He’s always the dumbest person in the room.

I can understand why Iranian FM Zarif was so angry with Kerry during the nuclear negotiations.  Kerry is so dense that he can’t understand the issues he’s negotiating.

The ayatollah had to tell Zarif to stop screaming at Kerry.  Again, I can sympathize with the Iranian FM.

Israel Hayom‘Obama is completely overwhelmed by terrorist attacks’:

In a rare Oval Office address, U.S. President Barack Obama vowed the United States would overcome a new phase of the terror threat that seeks to “poison the minds” of people around the world, as he sought to reassure Americans shaken by recent attacks in Paris and California.

Still, he announced no significant shift in U.S. strategy and no new policy prescriptions for defeating the Islamic State group. His remarks also failed to quiet Republican critics who have long accused him of underestimating the Islamist militants’ strength and staying power.

Obama used his 14-minute nationally televised appearance to draw a careful line about what he would and would not do. He pledged, for example, to “hunt down terrorist plotters” anywhere they are. But he insisted: “We should not be drawn once more into a long and costly ground war in Iraq or Syria.”

SnyderTalk Comment: Marco Rubio is correct.  Obama is “overwhelmed”.

If Obama had to contend with the problems Israel faces on a daily basis, he would go insane.  He couldn’t handle it.  He’s just not equipped for serious tension.  Problem is, despite the evidence, Obama thinks he knows everything and that he’s always right.

Israel HayomClinton: If PA collapses, the alternative could be ISIS:

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton warned on Sunday that the Islamic State group could stand to gain from a collapse of the Palestinian Authority.

Speaking at the Saban Forum in Washington, Clinton said that “the black flag” of the Islamic State group could end up flying over the Palestinian territories if the Palestinian Authority falls apart.

Even though some members of the Israeli government do not see Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas as a partner for peace, “the alternative to Abbas might be ISIS,” Clinton cautioned.

SnyderTalk Comment: I don’t have any doubts about the ability of Israeli leaders to deal with the ISIS threat they face.

It’s Obama and Clinton that I’m worried about.  Neither one of them knows what they are doing.  Israel is suffering now because Obama is president.  If Hillary is elected, Israel will suffer even more.

Washington PostSupreme Court won’t review laws banning assault weapons:

The Supreme Court on Monday declined to review the ability of cities and states to prohibit semiautomatic high-capacity assault weapons that have been used in some of the nation’s most deadly recent mass shootings.

The justices decided not to reconsider a lower court’s decision in a case from the city of Highland Park, Ill., near Chicago. But seven states — Maryland, California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Massachusetts, New Jersey and New York — have similar bans, and all of the prohibitions remain in place.

Justices Clarence Thomas and Antonin Scalia said the court should review the ban, which “flouts” the court’s Second Amendment jurisprudence. They criticized lower court decisions that have allowed jurisdictions and impose what Thomas called “categorical bans on firearms that millions of Americans commonly own for lawful purposes.”

The court’s action Monday continues a pattern. After deciding in District of Columbia v. Heller in 2008 that the Second Amendment provides the right for an individual to keep a weapon in the home, the court has avoided all cases that might clarify if that right is more expansive.

SnyderTalk Comment: This article raises two issues that everyone needs to consider:

  1. Where should you live?
  2. When should you buy the firearms you need?

This is the answer to the first question: live in a place where restrictions are limited.

This is the answer to the second question: Now, buy now.

The data is clear.  Gun restrictions invite violence.  It comes as no surprise that virtually every violent attack involving firearms has taken place in gun-free zones or in states and cities with very restrictive gun laws.

Facts don’t matter to people who want to infringe on our 2nd Amendment rights.  That group is growing as a percent of our population.

That’s why you need to buy what you need now.  I think the day will come when you won’t be able to buy even if we face serious threats.

See “Have the Justices Gone Gun-Shy?”  I have another question.  Have the justices forgotten that their job is to protect and defend the constitution?  I think the answer is yes.

I’ll repeat what I said.  Now is the time to buy what you need.

The GuardianErdogan’s dreams of empire are perilous for Turkey:

The aggressiveness of Turkish foreign policy is something new. It goes back to 2009 when, at Davos, President Erdoğan insulted Shimon Peres, then Israel’s president, using the Turkish form of “you” that is normally used for dogs, and accusing him of atrocities in Gaza. That went down very well with his home constituency, less well with Turks who think about things, and it also went down well in the Arab world.

Erdoğan was lionised, and cut a big figure in the Arab spring that followed. In particular he tried to bring about change in Syria, and was much put out when President Assad did not respond to his urgings for reform, a reform that would have applied some version of Erdoğan’s own “Muslim democracy”. Expecting Assad to fall, he did nothing to stop the civil war that then erupted, and gave a hospitable welcome to more than 2 million refugees who flooded over the border.

He no doubt expected them to go back within weeks. They did not, and the Syrian mess has become more and more complicated, particularly by the emergence of a Kurdish entity on Turkey’s border. That entity could be a threat to Turkey’s own territorial integrity, given that south-eastern Turkey is largely Kurdish. The Russians then took a hand, directly supporting Assad, their man in the Levant, and driving his opponents back. And Turkey shot down a Russian bomber, an episode that from a Turkish perspective was utterly without precedent, even during the cold war. Where this will lead is anybody’s guess, but the consequences may be such that the framers of Turkish foreign policy will look back on the old days with nostalgia.

SnyderTalk Comment: Erdogan is a serious problem.  So is Obama.  Erdogan is an Islamist, and he’s good friends with Obama.  Enough said.

Breitbart NewsHillary Clinton in Poll Free Fall:

The poll of registered voters shows Clinton with slims leads over Donald Trump, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), and Jeb Bush. Ben Carson and Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) edge Clinton in the hypothetical match-ups.

This latest CNN poll, obviously, is a snapshot of the current standings in the Presidential race. More interesting is the dramatic drop in Clinton’s support over the fall. In some cases, she has lost more than 20 points relative to her Republican challengers.

With the economy showing new signs of weakness, increased uncertainty in world affairs and a new terrorist attack on America’s shores, the campaign isn’t likely to get better for Clinton.

In the latest poll, Clinton leads Donald Trump by 3 points 49-46, within the poll’s margin of error. At the end of June, however, Clinton led Trump by 24 points, 59-35. Marco Rubio leads Clinton by one point, in the poll released Friday, 48-49. At the end of June, though, Clinton led Rubio by 16 points, 56-40.

SnyderTalk Comment: I hope Clinton is the Democrat nominee for president in 2016.  If she is, she and other Democrats will get something they desperately need.  Hank Williams, Jr. calls it an “attitude adjustment”.

Fox NewsIran Tests Another Ballistic Missile in Breach of UN Resolutions:

Iran carried out a new medium-range ballistic missile test on Nov. 21 in breach of UN Security Council resolutions, a senior U.S. official said Monday. The missile, known as a Ghadr-110, an improved version of the Shahab 3, has a range of 2,000 km. and is capable of carrying a nuclear warhead. UN Resolution 2231, which was passed one day after the nuclear accord was signed, compels Iran to refrain from any work on ballistic missiles for 8 years.

Exodus 30

22 Moreover, Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, 23 “Take also for yourself the finest of spices: of flowing myrrh five hundred shekels, and of fragrant cinnamon half as much, two hundred and fifty, and of fragrant cane two hundred and fifty, 24 and of cassia five hundred, according to the shekel of the sanctuary, and of olive oil a hin. 25 You shall make of these a holy anointing oil, a perfume mixture, the work of a perfumer; it shall be a holy anointing oil. 26 With it you shall anoint the tent of meeting and the ark of the testimony, 27 and the table and all its utensils, and the lampstand and its utensils, and the altar of incense, 28 and the altar of burnt offering and all its utensils, and the laver and its stand. 29 You shall also consecrate them, that they may be most holy; whatever touches them shall be holy. 30 You shall anoint Aaron and his sons, and consecrate them, that they may minister as priests to Me. 31 You shall speak to the sons of Israel, saying, ‘This shall be a holy anointing oil to Me throughout your generations. 32 It shall not be poured on anyone’s body, nor shall you make any like it in the same proportions; it is holy, and it shall be holy to you. 33 Whoever shall mix any like it or whoever puts any of it on a layman shall be cut off from his people.’”

14--Blessings from Revelation 2

Blessings in the Book of Revelation is a book that you need to read, especially now.  There are blessings throughout the Scriptures but Revelation is the only book in the Bible actually containing a specific blessing for reading it. It’s repeated twice, once at the beginning and again at the end. This is the reason that I believe Revelation should be the first step toward studying biblical prophecy. Though not easy to do, Revelation can be broken down and understood by anyone, not just the academic elite. So, Revelation’s blessings are for everyone.  Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.
