December 6, 2015 SnyderTalk: America’s pathological denial of reality

1--Intro Covering Israel and ME

“For from the rising of the sun even to its setting, My Name will be great among the Gentiles, and in every place incense is going to be offered to My Name, and a grain offering that is pure; for My Name will be great among the Gentiles,” says Yahweh Sabaoth. (Malachi 1: 11)

“But now, thus says Yahweh, your Creator, O Jacob, and He who formed you, O Israel, ‘Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by Name; you are Mine!’” (Isaiah 43: 1)

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares Yahweh, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11)

“Trust in Yahweh with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:5-6)

Caroline Glick—America’s pathological denial of reality:

How much lower will America sink before it regains its senses? Wednesday, two Muslims walked into a Christmas party at a community service center in San Bernardino, California where one worked. They were wearing body armor and video cameras and carrying automatic rifles, pipe bombs and pistols. They opened fire, killed 14, and wounded 21.

The murderers, Syed Farook and his wife, Tashfeen Malik, were killed by police.

Speaking to the Daily News, Farook’s father said his son, “was very religious. He would go to work, come back, go to pray, come back. He’s Muslim.”

Farook’s neighbor told the paper that over the past two years, Farook exchanged his Western dress for Islamic gowns and grew a beard.

These data points lead naturally to the conclusion that Farook and his wife were jihadists who killed in order to kill in the name of Islam.

But in America of December 2015, natural conclusions are considered irresponsible, at best.

In an interview with CNN following the shooting, US President Barack Obama said the massacre demonstrates that the US needs stricter gun laws. As for the motives of the shooters, Obama shrugged. “We don’t yet know the motives of the shooters,” he insisted.

In other words, while ignoring what in all likelihood drove Farooq and his wife to murder innocent people, Obama laid responsibility for the carnage at the feet of his political opponents who reject his demands for stricter limitations on gun ownership.

Here is the place to note that California has some of the most stringent gun control laws in the US.

SnyderTalk Comment: Obama is duplicitous at best.  On top of that, I think he is a pathological liar.

These three examples support my conclusion.  There are many others:

  1. Michael Brown of Ferguson, Missouri robbed a convenience store. He attacked the police officer who responded to the call and was shot and killed.  Before the smoke cleared, Obama took to the airwaves to blast law enforcement in Ferguson.
  2. Henry Louis Gates was returning to his home in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Gates’ neighbor thought that someone was trying to break into his home, so she called the police.  When police arrived and confronted Gates, rather than cooperate with them and explain the situation, he became belligerent.  Without the benefit of facts, Obama took to the airwaves to blast law enforcement in Cambridge.
  3. Army Major Nidal Hasan went on a shooting rampage in Fort Hood, Texas. He is a jihadist.  After the shooting spree, Obama took to the airwaves to tell the American people that it was a case of workplace violence.

At this point, it is obvious to anyone with common sense and eyes to see that the San Bernardino attack was a jihadist terrorist attack.  True to form, Obama refuses to give credence to the obvious because it doesn’t mesh with the false narrative that he is peddling.

The American people are getting it.  In due course, Obama will have to admit the facts.  But he’s the president.  At times like these, we can’t afford for our political leaders to be so slow that they endanger our lives.  It’s especially dangerous when the president refuses to accept reality.

Obama has appointed Islamists to his administration in sensitive areas.  I think his closest advisor and personal confidant, Valerie Jarrett, is a jihadist.  As far as I know, she hasn’t yet killed anyone or chopped off anyone’s head personally.  She hasn’t had to.  Her actions have led to countless deaths.

Hillary Clinton is in lockstep with Obama.  She’s the one who blamed the Benghazi attack on an obscure video.  She’s the one who oversaw the deaths of Americans and did nothing to help them even though that was her job.  Now, she wants to be president, and she will win the Democrat nomination because Democrats have no shame and no sense.

Despite the manure that Obama and Clinton continue to shovel at us, law-abiding gun owners are not the problem.  Guns are readily available in this and in every other country.

Criminals have no trouble getting their hands on guns and ammo.  More restrictive gun laws won’t change their behavior one iota because they don’t give a damn about the law.

Law-abiding people like you and me are the only ones affected by more restrictive guns laws.  As high-minded as Obama’s and Clinton’s rhetoric appears to be on the surface, it is foolish to the core because it ignores reality and makes us less safe.

Recently, Senator Ted Cruz said that violent criminals tend to be Democrats.  I don’t know for sure that they are registered Democrats, but I do know this: violent criminals and terrorists act like Democrats—or is it vice versa?  Probably some of both.

Our nation is in trouble.  The political class brought this upon us, but we elected them.  We can’t afford any more mistakes.

The nice thing about the 2016 presidential election is that we have a couple of candidates who are not politicians and one senator who has infuriated his own party, the Republican Party, because he tells the truth about them.  That man is Ted Cruz.

See “Who Is Nicholas Thalasinos? San Bernardino Shooting Victim Was ‘Outspoken’ Messianic Jew”.

Obama has done more harm to Israel than any American since 1948.  Our nation is no longer a reliable ally to any country.  Obama is the problem.

See “Obama calls San Bernardino shootings an ‘act of terror,’ but motive unknown” and “ISIS claims suspected San Bernardino shooters were ‘followers’”.

Islamist terror, Barry.  Islamist terror.  Get it?  Hardly.

As for motive, start with this question: what are Islamist terrorists telling us they are doing?

The answer is so simple that Obama should be able to understand.  Their goal is to conquer the world, impose Sharia law, and create a global caliphate.  Along the way, they plan to kill as many infidels as they can.

As I have said before many times, it’s Islamists versus the rest of us.  Winner take all.  No holds barred.

Anyone who thinks that Obama is clever or quick is wrong.  He isn’t even close.

CBS NewsChris Christie: New York Times gun control op-ed “liberal claptrap”:

Republican presidential candidate and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie doesn’t think highly of a New York Times editorial calling for stricter gun control laws in the wake of the San Bernardino shooting.

“It’s typical liberal claptrap from the New York Times,” Christie told “Face the Nation” host John Dickerson in an interview set to air Sunday. “The fact is that what we need to be focused on here are two issues: taking criminals who commit crimes with handguns and putting them in jail. And we have to work on our mental health system in this country to give doctors and caregivers greater latitude to involuntarily commit folks who have mental health issues and who don’t want to take their medication and help themselves.”

[,,,]

“Remember, the president and the secretary, before they even knew what was going on here, ran out on the first moments after this attack and said this was a gun control issue,” Christie said. “I don’t know what gun control laws, john, are going to stop terrorists from attacking us. But this is the typical liberal approach to things…They wanted to try to turn this awful tragedy into an excuse to have greater gun control.”

SnyderTalk Comment: Correct, but that’s not enough.  We need to scour our nation for Islamist sympathizers and begin serious investigations of them and their networks.

Islamists are among us.

They are at war with us.

We need to be at war with them.

Those are irrefutable facts.

We can’t afford liars, dissemblers, and propagandists in positions of authority any longer.

Enough is enough.

LA Times—Muslims should step up good works after mass shooting, leaders say in Friday prayers:

In forceful Friday sermons, American Muslim leaders throughout Southern California urged congregants to step up their good works and community engagement following the mass shooting in San Bernardino this week.

Leaders also drew a distinction between Islam’s values of peace and the actions of two shooters identifying as Muslims who killed 14 people and wounded 21 at the Inland Regional Center on Wednesday.

At the Islamic Center of Southern California in Los Angeles, religious advisor Jihad Turk told about 700 people not to retreat from the larger society, as uncomfortable as they may feel following both the San Bernardino and Paris massacres by those professing to be Muslim.

“This is not an option,” said Turk, who trains imams and scholars for America through his Bayan Claremont Islamic Graduate School.

SnyderTalk Comment:  That’s a step in the right direction, but they need to step forward and help identify those who are gunning for us.

Islamist jihadists have networks.  Those networks are well-known by many.  Muslims need to reveal the information they have.

This is a criminal matter.  It should be treated as such.

Robert Spencer—SB shooter in touch with people being investigated for jihad terror:

Officials: San Bernardino shooter apparently radicalized, in touch with terror subjects,” by Greg Botelho, CNN, December 3, 2015:

(CNN)Syed Rizwan Farook — who along with his wife, Tashfeen Malik, carried out the San Bernardino shooting massacre — was apparently radicalized and in touch with people being investigated by the FBI for international terrorism, law enforcement officials said Thursday.

Farook’s apparent radicalization contributed to his role in the mass shooting of 14 people Wednesday during a holiday party for the San Bernardino County health department, where Farook worked, sources said.

Still, it wasn’t necessarily the only driver behind the carnage, as workplace grievances may have also played a role. President Barack Obama hinted as much Thursday when he said that the attackers may have had “mixed motives.”

David Bowditch, assistant director in charge of the FBI’s Los Angeles office, told reporters Thursday that Farook had traveled to Pakistan.

And two government officials said no red flags were raised when he’d gone to Saudi Arabia for several weeks in 2013 on the Hajj, the annual pilgrimage to Mecca that Muslims are required to take at least once in their lifetime. It was during this trip that he met Malik, a native of Pakistan who came to the United States in July 2014 on a “fiancée visa” and later became a lawful permanent resident.

Officials had previously said neither Farook and Malik were known to the FBI or on a list of potentially radicalized people. Nor had they had any known interactions with police until Wednesday.

Breitbart NewsHillary Clinton: 9/11 Hijackers ‘Were Not Refugees’:

“We’re learning more, literally by the hour,” Clinton said. “There is certainly much more support for the view that this was a terrorist attack…we will learn more about these people, these murderers, and we will do everything in our power to prevent acts like this from happening.”

SnyderTalk Comment: Somebody got to Hillary and convinced her that she looked and sounded like an idiot following the San Bernardino terrorist attack.

This is what Hillary said before the building was cleared: “I refuse to accept this as normal. We must take action to stop gun violence now.”

This is the problem: somebody had to tell Hillary that she made a fool of herself.  She would not have known it, otherwise.

Do you want that woman answering the phone at 3:00 in the morning in the White House?

I don’t.

Judicial WatchDOJ: Social Media Posts Trashing Muslims May Violate Civil Rights:

In its latest effort to protect followers of Islam in the U.S. the Obama Justice Department warns against using social media to spread information considered inflammatory against Muslims, threatening that it could constitute a violation of civil rights.

The move comes a few years after the administration became the first in history to dispatch a U.S. Attorney General to personally reassure Muslims that the Department of Justice (DOJ) is dedicated to protecting them. In the unprecedented event, Attorney General Eric Holder assured a San Francisco-based organization (Muslim Advocates) that urges members not to cooperate in federal terrorism investigations that the “us versus them” environment created by the U.S. government, law enforcement agents and fellow citizens is unacceptable and inconsistent with what America is all about.

“Muslims and Arab Americans have helped build and strengthen our nation,” Holder said after expressing that he is “grateful” to have Muslims as a partner in promoting tolerance, ensuring public safety and protecting civil rights. He also vowed to strengthen “crucial dialogue” between Muslim and Arab-American communities and law enforcement.

Evidently that was a precursor of sorts for an upcoming Tennessee event (“Public Disclosure in a Diverse Society”) that will feature the region’s top DOJ official, who serves as U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Tennessee, and an FBI representative. The goal is to increase awareness and understanding that American Muslims are not the terrorists some have made them out to be in social media and other circles, according to a local newspaper report. The June 4 powwow is sponsored by the American Muslim Advisory Council of Tennessee.

The area’s top federal prosecutor, Bill Killian, will address a topic that most Americans are likely unfamiliar with, even those well versed on the Constitution; that federal civil rights laws can actually be violated by those who post inflammatory documents aimed at Muslims on social media. “This is an educational effort with civil rights laws as they play into freedom of religion and exercising freedom of religion,” Killian says in the local news story. “This is also to inform the public what federal laws are in effect and what the consequences are.”

SnyderTalk Comment: Obama created the conditions that have spawned this problem and many others.

To this day, Obama refuses to call the Islamist problem by its name.  His assertion that Islamists aren’t Muslims defies logic and makes people with good sense angry.  It makes irrational people more than angry.

Common sense and history tell us that people will take action themselves when they believe that their government won’t do its job.  Obama has failed miserably.

In a nation of more than 300 million people, a large number of them will take matters into their own hands.  They will completely ignore the law.  If Obama doesn’t know that, he’s a bigger fool than I think he is.

All of us will have to protect ourselves from them, not just Muslims.  Every segment of society will be at risk for one reason or another.  Jews, blacks, whites, Hispanics, etc., etc., etc. will be targeted by angry citizens who feel betrayed.

I fear for the next president, because the problems will escalate from here.  The next president will have to deal with Obama’s messes in this country and all over the world.

These are difficult times.  We need a serious and an honest president.  Obama is neither of those things, and Hillary Clinton is no better than he is.

Jerusalem PostPoll: Over a third of Americans back punitive measures against Israel over settlements:

Just over a third of Americans support either imposing economic sanctions or “taking more serious action” against Israel for its policies in the West Bank, according to a new poll commissioned by a Washington think tank whose results were announced on Friday.

The Brookings Institution released the findings of the survey in anticipation of the Saban Forum, the annual event which brings together top policymakers from the United States and Israel to discuss developments in the Middle East. The forum is held every year at Brookings’ Center for Middle East Policy.

Titled “American Attitudes Toward the Middle East and Israel,” the survey shows a clear partisan divide between Republicans and Democrats over perceptions of whom is to blame for the impasse in the Israel-Palestine peace negotiations.

SnyderTalk Comment: Israel can’t rely on the U.S.  Right now, the American people support Israel, but the number of those who don’t can increase dramatically in the blink of an eye.

One thing is perfectly clear: where Israel is concerned, the Democrat Party is the problem.

Ynet NewsSwedish FM accuses Israel of ‘extrajudicial executions’ of terrorists:

Swedish Foreign Minister Margot Wallström caused another diplomatic crisis on Friday when she accused Israel of conducting “extrajudicial executions” of Palestinians committing terror attacks.

Wallström’s comments were made during a discussion at the Swedish parliament about the ongoing wave of violence and terror attacks raging in Israel.

According to a report in Swedish newspaper Expressen, Wallström was asked by one of the members of parliament, Mathias Sundin, why she doesn’t issue strong condemnations against terror attacks by Palestinians against Israelis.

SnyderTalk Comment: Anti-Semitism is alive and well in Sweden.  It’s a serious problem in the rest of Europe.  It’s growing in the U.S.

Debka FileIsrael extremely nervous over Russian operations on its Golan border:

On the outside, Israel is all smiles and full of praise for way the coordination with Moscow is working for averting clashes between its air force and Russian warplanes over Syria. This goodwill was conspicuous in the compliments Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and President Vladimir Putin traded when they met on the sidelines of the Paris climate summit Monday, Nov. 30.

But the first disquieting sign appeared Tuesday, Dec. 1. Senior Russian and Israeli officers were due to meet in Tel Aviv to discuss strengthening the cooperation between the two army commands. But no word from Moscow or Jerusalem indicated whether the meeting had taken place.

DEBKAfile’s military sources report that this week, the show of optimism is giving way to an uneasy sensation in the offices of the prime minister, Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon and the IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Gady Eisenkott. They suspect an ulterior motive behind Russia’s military movements in southern Syria, especially its air strikes against Syrian rebels, just across from Israel’s Golan border.

SnyderTalk Comment: Israel should be nervous.

Philip Rucker and Sean Sullivan—Gun rights? Try gun pride: GOP candidates display firearms machismo:

Ted Cruz strode Friday into a shooting range here, where assault rifles and handguns were displayed on the walls and boxes of ammunition were stacked up for sale, to deliver tough talk following this week’s massacre in California.

“You don’t stop bad guys by taking away our guns. You stop bad guys by using our guns,” Cruz thundered to a roomful of Second Amendment activists. The Republican senator from Texas vowed that after he is elected president, any “lunatic” or “jihadist” who attempts to harm innocent Americans will “encounter the business end of firearms.”

There was a time when politicians professed their enthusiasm for gun rights by donning camouflage and hunting pheasants. Now, Republican presidential hopefuls campaign in active shooting ranges. They invite the media to watch them fire assault rifles or demolish the tax code with an AR-15. Or, as Cruz did in August, they wrap strips of raw bacon around the barrel of a machine gun to cook them with the heat of gunfire.

SnyderTalk Comment: Another example by leftists denigrating gun owners and our 2nd Amendment rights.  In their world, it couldn’t be as simple as protecting our constitutional rights so that we can defend ourselves.

Our nation has a soft underbelly.  They call themselves “liberals” and “progressives”, but they are neither.  They are easy prey for criminals, terrorists, and crazy people.  That’s something I don’t intend to be.

When the manure hits the fan and their lives are threatened, they will lose bladder control.  Talk is cheap.  That’s what they do best.

Brian Fung—Net neutrality just went to court. Here’s how it did.:

A federal appeals court on Friday challenged regulators to defend a series of strict new rules for Internet providers, asking them why it should allow the controversial regulations to stand in spite of an industry lawsuit that’s become the centerpiece of a highly-charged battle over the future of the Internet.

Dozens of court-watchers began lining up before dawn to hear the case, with some having spent the night in frigid temperatures outside the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. Heavy turnout led the court to open up an overflow room for other spectators. Inside the courtroom itself, a three-judge panel peppered agency and industry lawyers with probing questions in a roughly three-hour debate.

The stakes for the Federal Communications Commission are high. Friday marked the third time the agency has appeared before the court in recent years to justify regulating Internet providers more heavily. At issue is the FCC’s net neutrality rules — which prevented Internet providers from slowing down or blocking Web content that they do not like, or even charging Web sites a fee for reaching Internet users faster.

RT‘Incursion’: Baghdad demands Turkey withdraw ‘training’ troops from northern Iraq:

The Iraqi government has demanded that Ankara withdraw the more than 100 Turkish forces that entered Iraq with tanks and artillery for alleged “training” of troops near Islamic State-occupied Mosul. Baghdad stressed the unsanctioned move was a breach of its sovereignty.

The Iraqi foreign ministry said in a statement early on Saturday that the Turkish troops were acting in violation of the country’s sovereignty and demanded the forces withdraw immediately. “Around one regiment armoured with tanks and artillery” has entered the northern Nineveh area, according to the statement from the Iraqi Prime Minister’s media office.

“The Iraqi authorities call on Turkey to respect good neighbourly relations and to withdraw immediately from the Iraqi territory,” the statement said, stressing that the Turkish troops entered “without the request or authorization from the Iraqi federal authorities,” which is a “serious breach of Iraqi sovereignty.”

The foreign ministry called Turkey’s move “an incursion,” Reuters reported.

ReutersTurkish deployment inside Iraq violates international law: Iraq president:

Iraqi President Fouad Massoum on Saturday called the deployment of several hundred Turkish troops inside Iraq near the northern city of Mosul “a violation of international norms and law”.

A Turkish security source said on Friday the forces would provide training for Iraqi troops near Mosul, which is controlled by Islamic State.

Iraq’s prime minister and foreign ministry have called for Turkey to withdraw its forces.

In an online statement, Massoum also called on Turkey to withdraw the troops and asked Iraq’s Foreign Ministry to take the necessary measures “to preserve the country’s sovereignty and independence”.

Islamic State militants overran Mosul in June 2014. A much anticipated counter-offensive by Iraqi forces has been repeatedly postponed because they are tied down in fighting elsewhere.

Fox NewsTerror network in Paris attacks said to have UK links:

Western officials believe the terror network behind last month’s massacre in Paris has links to people in the U.K., fueling concerns about the threat faced in Europe.

Several people suspected of having connections to Abdelhamid Abaaoud, the Islamic State operative and alleged ringleader of the Nov. 13 attacks, are based in the U.K., according to two Western officials. The officials said those people, including some of Moroccan heritage, are based in the Birmingham area, about 120 miles northwest of London.

At least one person connected to the attacks is believed to have traveled to the U.K. before the shootings, the officials said.

Mr. Abaaoud, a Belgian national of Moroccan descent, died during a raid by French police days after the attacks, in which 130 people at a concert hall, restaurants and a soccer stadium were killed by attackers armed with guns and explosives.

The U.K.’s second-largest city has some known ties to Islamist extremism. Junaid Hussain, a Birmingham native, went to Syria and became a leading hacker for Islamic State. He was killed by a U.S. drone strike in August while he was in a car in Raqqa, Syria.

BloombergChina Ups Africa Commitment Even as Both Their Fortunes Fade:

China is upping its game in Africa even as its own economy cools and a global slump in commodities hampers the outlook for the world’s poorest continent.

At a summit in Johannesburg with dozens of African heads of state President Xi Jinping, on his second visit to the continent since becoming the leader of the world’s second-largest economy in 2013, announced $60 billion in funding to promote cooperation and support development efforts in the region. This includes $5 billion of interest-free loans and $35 billion in preferential financing, export credit lines and concessional loans. Xi also committed $1.2 billion for work on power plants in Zimbabwe and pledged to invest 94 billion rand ($6.5 billion) in infrastructure and other projects in South Africa.

“Africa tends to remember people that stick with them in the hard times and it’s not been a great year generally speaking for most of Africa because of low commodity prices and the strength of the dollar,” Michael Power, a money manager at Investec Asset Management, said by phone from Cape Town on Friday. “The Chinese have not changed their tune as a result of Africa’s fortunes getting perhaps a little less rosy than they were this time last year.”

Burak Bekdil—Russia Devouring the Eastern Mediterranean?:

At this year’s G-20 summit in Antalya, Turkey, Russian President, Vladimir Putin, said that the radical jihadist Islamic State (IS) was being financed by donors from at least 40 countries, including some G-20 member states — clearly pointing his finger, without naming names, at Saudi Arabia and Turkey. A few days later, two Turkish F-16 jets shot down a Russian SU-24 warplane, and claimed that the Russian jet had violated Turkish airspace for 17 seconds on the country’s Syrian border — a violation Russia denies. This was the first time a Soviet or Russian military aircraft was shot down by a NATO air force since the end of WWII.

Turkey and Russia have long been in a proxy war in Syria: Russia, together with its quieter partner, China, supports the Shi’ite Iran-backed Syrian regime of President Bashar al-Assad; and Turkey explicitly supports Assad’s Sunni opponents [“moderate” jihadists] — apparently in the hope of building a Muslim Brotherhood/Hamas-type of regime in Damascus that would be friendly to its own Islamist government. After the downing of the Russian jet, the Turco-Russian proxy war has become less proxy.

Exodus 30

11 Yahweh also spoke to Moses, saying, 12 “When you take a census of the sons of Israel to number them, then each one of them shall give a ransom for himself to Yahweh, when you number them, so that there will be no plague among them when you number them. 13 This is what everyone who is numbered shall give: half a shekel according to the shekel of the sanctuary (the shekel is twenty gerahs), half a shekel as a contribution to Yahweh. 14 Everyone who is numbered, from twenty years old and over, shall give the contribution to Yahweh. 15 The rich shall not pay more and the poor shall not pay less than the half shekel, when you give the contribution to Yahweh to make atonement for yourselves. 16 You shall take the atonement money from the sons of Israel and shall give it for the service of the tent of meeting, that it may be a memorial for the sons of Israel before Yahweh, to make atonement for yourselves.”

Blessings in the Book of Revelation is a book that you need to read, especially now.  There are blessings throughout the Scriptures but Revelation is the only book in the Bible actually containing a specific blessing for reading it. It’s repeated twice, once at the beginning and again at the end. This is the reason that I believe Revelation should be the first step toward studying biblical prophecy. Though not easy to do, Revelation can be broken down and understood by anyone, not just the academic elite.
