October 18, 2015 SnyderTalk: Israel is coming to its senses. Will the U.S. follow suit?

1--Intro Covering Israel and ME

“For from the rising of the sun even to its setting, My Name will be great among the Gentiles, and in every place incense is going to be offered to My Name, and a grain offering that is pure; for My Name will be great among the Gentiles,” says Yahweh Sabaoth. (Malachi 1: 11)

Israel is coming to its senses.  Will the U.S. follow suit?

CNN ran an article that shows how much things in Israel have changed thanks to the ongoing mini-intifada.  The choreographed outbursts of anger and violence follow a three-step process:

  1. Leaders in both Fatah and Hamas incite against Israel.
  2. They urge their followers to use knives or vehicles to attack innocent Israeli citizens. Right now, their preference is knives.
  3. On cue, they comply.

The title of CNN’s article is “Israeli official: Legally armed civilians have ‘part to play’ in wake of violence”.

An armed citizenry has always been vital to Israel’s security, but thanks to left-leaning politicians in Israel, the Israeli people forgot it.  Now, they are coming back to their senses.  It has taken several years of fatal terrorist attacks on men, women, and children to wake them up.

Better late than never.

Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat was the first high-profile Israeli politician to call on his constituents to carry weapons.  Other politicians will fall into line because it’s the only course of action that has any chance of working short of an all-out war.

I suspect that the political left in Israel doesn’t like the way things are heading.  They have built a strong political base of support by pretending that things have changed.  Well, things haven’t changed and people are waking up to that reality.

Barkat’s logic is so simple that an adolescent child can understand it.  Regrettably, left-leaning politicians and their followers don’t get it.

Most criminals, terrorists, and mentally deranged people don’t have a death wish.  They would like to live to see another day.  That’s why they choose to attack in places with strict gun controls, and that’s why they attack those who they think are weak.

The fewer armed citizens there are, the safer they are.

The same is true in the U.S.  Here, the political left attacks law-abiding gun owners every time a criminal, terrorist, or nutjob goes on a killing spree.  They are led by the likes of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.  In fact, the Democrat Party is loaded with people like them.  Their perspective is warped beyond repair.

Will the U.S. wake up and follow Israel’s lead?  I think the answer is yes, but it will probably take several more random acts of violence that result in many lost lives before it happens.  That’s regrettable.

Israel’s enemies have a penchant for lying to achieve their objectives.  Consider the articles below, for example:

The video below shows the boy that Abbas said was executed.  He has never been safer.

The lying never stops.  Notice that Abbas and other inciters are never on the front-line where their lives may be at risk.

There are reasons for that.  First, they are cowards.  Second, there is a lot of potential donor money involved.  There odds of living to cash in are much less on the front-line.

Left-leaning politicians in the U.S. and Israel and their followers share a trait with Palestinian terrorists.  They believe lies and won’t accept evidence that doesn’t support their misguided beliefs.

I think it will be a long time before the U.S. wakes up to reality, but changes in Israel suggest that help may be on the way.  I wish that innocent people didn’t have to die in the waking up process.

Caroline Glick—Kerry, Israeli Arabs and the separation delusion:

Kerry’s claim this week that “Unless we get going, a two-state solution could conceivably be stolen from everybody,” is more an assault on reality generally than on Israel in particular.

Israel’s political leaders have rightly expressed anger at the US State Department’s hostile characterizations of the Palestinian terrorist onslaught. Secretary of State John Kerry’s claims, parroted by his spokesmen, that Israel is either entirely to blame for Palestinian terrorism or shares the blame equally with the Palestinians, are baseless lies.

Kerry and his spokesmen have alleged that the current Palestinian convulsion of murderous violence is a product of “a massive increase in settlements.” Yet as Haaretz reported this week, Israel has built fewer homes for Jews in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria since 2009, when Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu (and President Barack Obama) entered office, than it had since 1995. The steep increase in the Jewish population in the areas is almost entirely the result of Jewish women having babies.

The other accusations the State Department has leveled against Israel – that it incites violence and engages in terrorism – are so obscene that there is no point in trying to set the record straight. Quite simply, an administration comfortable with libeling Israel in this way doesn’t want to know the truth.

While at this point it is abundantly clear that Kerry like the administration he serves has an unpleasant, irrational obsession with the Jewish state, it’s hard to shake the conclusion that there is more going on here than simply opposition to Israel.

Richard Kemp—Palestinian and Western Leaders: Blood on Their Hands

  • Secretary Kerry’s comments will encourage the continuation of violence and lead to further deaths of both Israelis and Palestinians. His explanation for the widespread knifings, suicide bombings, shootings, arson, firebombings, vehicle attacks and lethal rock-throwing is either naive or mendacious; perhaps both.
  • Kerry asserts that the frustrations of Israeli settlement activity are responsible for the Palestinians’ murderous behaviour. The reality is that this new wave of killings is a continuation of the aggression against Jews that has been going on in the territory of Palestine for many decades — since long before 1948 and pre-dating the first Israeli settlements in the West Bank that Kerry falsely brands as illegal.
  • The violence is motivated by the same racist and sectarian zeal that drives the Islamic State and numerous Arab governments and jihadist groups that have sought to eradicate the presence of “infidels,” whether Jews, Christians or Yazidis, from land that they consider the exclusive preserve of Muslims.
  • Palestinian children are taught that Jews are descended from apes and pigs and must be killed before their “filthy feet” desecrate the holy places of Islam — in the words of President Abbas.
  • Secretary Kerry, the UN, and the EU should be discouraging further violence by condemnation and by meaningful threats of sanction against the Palestinian Authority leadership. The international community has encouraged Hamas’s illegal use of human shields and berated Israel for defending itself and for inflicting civilian casualties, which were in reality the unavoidable consequence of Hamas’s unprovoked aggression and its way of fighting from within private houses, schools, hospitals and mosques.
  • This encouragement of Hamas violence, especially the effectiveness of its human shield strategy, did not go unnoticed by other Islamist terrorist groups. That is also what Hizballah wants: the wholesale deaths of their own people as a trigger for unbearable international pressure against Israel.

Liel Leibovitz—In Israel, Fighting Big Knives and Bad Ideas:

You’ve been getting the arithmetic of war all wrong: The bloody battle unfurling inthe streets of Jerusalem and Tel Aviv and Ra’anana and elsewhere in Israel involves three sides, not two.

One consists of people like Isra Abed. She’s 30, an Israeli-Arab divorcee with a young child living with her parents in Nazareth. Not too long ago, Abed graduated from the Technion, one of the world’s finest institutions of higher learning. She could have followed in the path of another recent Israeli-Arab Technion grad from Nazareth, one not much older than Abed, and focus on discovering ways to cure cancer. She could’ve enjoyed the privileges associated with her prestigious degree and joined her fellow alums in the Israeli workforce, where a Technion grad’s average monthly salary is approximately $6,558, much higher than the average wage in the local economy. Instead, she took a large knife, traveled to the central bus station in the northern town of Afula, and tried to stab Jews. Soldiers arriving on the scene just in time shot and wounded her.

What motivated Abed to put down her baccalaureate and pick up the knife? If you get your wisdom from the mainstream American—and, often, Israeli—press, the answer, naturally, is the Occupation, which breeds despair, which, in turn, begets violence. After all, what other way does a citizen of a democratic country with a priceless education and endless economic opportunity have of expressing her frustration with the pace of regional politics but through seeking to slash the arteries of three or four of her neighbors?

Michael Curtis—Humanitarianism in Action in Israel:

Since October 3, 2015 dozens of Palestinian terror attacks against Israeli citizens have occurred, killing seven people and injuring more than 100. More deaths would have occurred if it had not been for the speedy action of the Israeli United Hatzalah (rescue), volunteer emergency medical service, reacting immediately to all emergencies within minutes of a call for help.

With more than 2,300 volunteers, medically trained technicians from all walks of life, UH responds to over 650 emergencies a day, and has treated over 200,000 people a year. UH provides medical and communications equipment as necessary. Its quick response is often the difference between life and death, especially regarding the victims of Palestinian terror attacks as well as the usual traffic accidents.

One of the UH innovations is a life compass system which integrates tracking technology with dispatch software, thus providing accurate information of the problem and what is medically needed. For this, a fleet of 250 “ambucycles,” a form of motor bike fully equipped with advanced life-saving equipment, a trauma kit, oxygen canister, defibrillator, and other emergency supplies, and which can avoid traffic jams and narrow streets, is used.

The activity of United Hatzalah illustrates once again, even though some human rights groups and Archbishop Desmond Tutu refuse to acknowledge it, the disparity in behavior between Palestinians and Israelis.

SnyderTalk Comment: The Israeli people are the most generous and caring people that I have met.  Palestinians are the most corrupt people that I have met.  Those generalizations are based on my own personal experience over two decades.

On my first trip to Israel, a friend told me that Israeli people may get in your face and argue with you vociferously, but they won’t hurt you.  Palestinians will smile at you while they stab you in the back.

That was advice well given and well taken.

Avi Issacharoff—A toothless speech from a defanged Abbas:

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas’s speech Wednesday night was delivered not by a leader but by a man being led. The words were those of a man who has little hope and understands that his influence over what is happening these days is limited, a politician who realizes that he is losing the public’s support and may be reaching the end of his political life.

The speech may well come to mark the end of an era in the Palestinian territories. The Palestinian public, watching on TV at home, heard words that were uninspired and devoid of real content — as if for some reason the chieftain felt obliged to address his nation but had done so unwillingly, with nothing really to say. Besides more accusations against Israel and another lie – a big fat one, at that – there was nothing of note for either Palestinian or Israeli ears.

As soon as Abbas’s office told media outlets in the early afternoon that he was planning to make an important address at 8 p.m., speculation gathered pace.

Close associates of Abbas claimed they had no idea what new bombshell he might drop. Some suggested he would call to halt the violence and bloodshed. Others that he would announce his retirement, a move which would likely bring more violence.

Bret Stephens—Palestine: The Psychotic Stage: The truth about why Palestinians have been seized by their present blood lust:

If you’ve been following the news from Israel, you might have the impression that “violence” is killing a lot of people. As in this headline: “Palestinian Killed As Violence Continues.” Or this first paragraph: “Violence and bloodshed radiating outward from flash points in Jerusalem and the West Bank appear to be shifting gears and expanding, with Gaza increasingly drawn in.”

Read further, and you might also get a sense of who, according to Western media, is perpetrating “violence.” As in: “Two Palestinian Teenagers Shot by Israeli Police,” according to one headline. Or: “Israeli Retaliatory Strike in Gaza Kills Woman and Child, Palestinians Say,” according to another.

Such was the media’s way of describing two weeks of Palestinian assaults that began when Hamas killed a Jewish couple as they were driving with their four children in the northern West Bank. Two days later, a Palestinian teenager stabbed two Israelis to death in Jerusalem’s Old City, and also slashed a woman and a 2-year-old boy. Hours later, another knife-wielding Palestinian was shot and killed by Israeli police after he slashed a 15-year-old Israeli boy in the chest and back.

Michael Curtis—Are the Palestinians Starting a Religious War?:

The upsurge of Palestinian violence against Israeli citizens – by young people, female as well as male – the resumption of rocket fire from Gaza into Israel, the insistence on using Islamic holy places as an excuse for violence, the continuing deliberate falsehoods about Israeli intentions, and the inflammatory rhetoric of the Palestinian leadership have brought a new unhelpful dimension into the Middle East.

One of the unexpected and remarkable developments in the Middle East has been the collapse of the state system with the chaos in Libya, Syria, Iraq, and Yemen.  At present only Iran, Turkey, Egypt, and Israel remain as states characterized by some form of national identity if not total solidarity, and capable and willing to take action.  The Middle East monarchies, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and the Gulf Emirates are less able and less willing to do so.

However, the biggest failure to create some form of a coherent political entity, strong enough to control its population and seek peace with its neighbors, has been the Palestinian Authority, which has obtained non-member observer status at the United Nations and can fly its flag there, and which seeks to establish a Palestinian state.

That failure was shown by the inability of Palestinian Authority president Mahmoud Abbas to formulate a coherent policy, even a clear message, on the current outbreak of violence, as shown by his statement on October 8, 2015 that he would strengthen the hand of those defending the Al-Aqsa Mosque while insisting that he is against violence.  He has allowed the Palestinian geopolitical differences with Israel to become transformed into a holy war, which in essence means no solution to the conflict can ever take place.

Events of the last few weeks show both the untruthfulness of Palestinian leaders about the real nature of differences with Israel and their inability to control their population.  They have either allowed or been unable to control the cycle of random violence in Jerusalem and in the West Bank that has led to the deaths of both Israelis and Palestinians.  Violence has flowed, leading some Palestinians to favor and even call for a third intifada, with the memories in mind of the second one that ended in 2005.

The lack of control by Palestinian authorities has allowed stabbings and murders of Jews to continue and has heightened the feeling of insecurity.  It was understandable that Hamas, which has controlled the Gaza Strip since 2007, should encourage the violence and attacks on Israelis.  It is disappointing that the Palestinian Authority and Fatah, supposedly more moderate, should also have been involved.

SnyderTalk Comment: This isn’t my first rodeo.  I’ve seen it all many times before.

Palestinians are trying to start a religious war.  They’ve been trying for more than 50 years.

Could this time be different?  I don’t know.

There is a huge difference between starting a religious war and winning a religious war.

Yahweh could put an end to all of this nonsense in the blink of an eye.  Israel will have to turn to Him in faith before that happens.

Sara Yoheved Rigler—The Solution to Israel’s Wave of Terror:

I have lived in Israel for 30 years, through six wars, and I agree with Tovi Harari: There has never been a situation like this. Previously when under attack, Israel always had a military solution. During the Terror War of 2000-2004 (called “the Second Intifada”), when suicide bombers were murdering Jews in buses, cafes, malls, and Bar Mitzvahs, the I.D.F. went into the terrorist strongholds in towns under the Palestinian Authority and uprooted the terror cells that sent the bombers. When Hamas in Gaza launched thousands of rockets at Israel, the I.D.F., through aerial attacks and ground forces, pounded the enemy into submission.

Now, however, almost all of the terror attacks are perpetrated not by organized cells, but by individuals, who need nothing more than a kitchen knife to kill a Jew. The terrorists are women as well as men, Arab Israeli citizens as well as residents of the P.A., middle-class university students as well as the disenfranchised rabble, and youths as young as 13 years old. How do you defeat an enemy who is interwoven in the fabric of your society? Can the warp extirpate the woof?

Ishaan Tharoor—The growing solidarity between #BlackLivesMatter and Palestinian activists:

The video above, published on YouTube on Wednesday, features dozens of #BlackLivesMatter and Palestinian activists delivering a joint message. “When I see them, I see us,” the video’s narrators intone.

These include prominent African American celebrities and thinkers, such as Danny Glover, Lauryn Hill, Alice Walker, Angela Davis and Cornel West. They are accompanied by well-known Palestinian activists and writers. Over the course of a couple of minutes, they unite their perceived struggles through photos, slogans and a shared story of state oppression.

They talk of black youths killed by police and Palestinian children bombed by Israeli warplanes.

“When I see them, I see us,” the narrative goes. “Harassed, beaten, tortured, dehumanized, stopped and frisked, searched at checkpoints.”

SnyderTalk Comment: Palestinians have tried to hijack every cause they can. Most of them are lying piggyback riders.

What we are seeing right now in Israel is the authentic face of the Palestinian people.

They talk peace while they load their weapons for battle.  Peace to them is simply a lull in the fighting.

By the way, in the U.S. today, every few seconds an African American baby is lost to abortion.  If black lives really mattered to the Twitter crowd, that would not be the case.

Bassam Tawil—What Do Palestinian Terrorists Want?

  • Palestinian terrorists are not driven by poverty and deprivation, as many have long argued. Instead, they are driven by hatred for Jews — because of what their leaders, media and mosques are telling them.
  • These young people took advantage of their status as permanent residents of Israel to set out and murder Jews. Their Israeli ID cards allow them to travel freely inside Israel. They were also entitled to the social welfare benefits and free healthcare granted to all Israeli citizens.
  • Muhannad Halabi wanted to murder Jews because he had been brainwashed by our leaders and media, and was driven by hatred — he was not living in misery and deprivation. The family’s house in the village of Surda, on the outskirts of Ramallah, looks as if it came out of a movie filmed in San Diego.
  • This conflict is not about Islamic holy sites or Jerusalem. Murdering a Jewish couple in front of their four children has nothing to do with the Aqsa Mosque or “occupation.”
  • For the terrorists, all Jews are “settlers” and Israel is one big settlement. This is not an intifada — it is just another killing-spree aimed at terrorizing the Jews and forcing them out of this part of the world. It already succeeded in the rest of the Middle East and is now being done there to the Christians as well.
  • The current wave of terrorism is just another phase in our dream to wipe Israel off the face of the earth. The terrorists and their supporters are not struggling against a checkpoint or a wall. They want to see Israel destroyed, Jews slaughtered, and the streets of Israel running with Jewish blood.

SnyderTalk Comment: The last point is spot on: “The current wave of terrorism is just another phase in our dream to wipe Israel off the face of the earth.”

That’s exactly what Palestinian leaders have been saying all along.  That’s what the Palestinian and Hamas charters still say to this day.

One of the few times you can believe a Palestinian is when he tells you that he wants to kill Jews and destroy Israel.

Fiamma Nirenstein—The Palestinian Intifada Turns into a Religious War:

Spurred by a lie, namely that the Al Aqsa Mosque is in danger and that Israel wants to destroy the status quo, violence is escalating in Israel. Fatah’s leadership is capitalizing on such a lie: despite the enormous mess in Syria, the whole Islamic world must now set its sights on the tired Israeli-Palestinian conflict. But this is also a dangerous lie, as it lights the fuse of religious fanaticism and brings the confrontation further away from any political solution. After that dozens of people were hit in a week by stones and knives that made dead and wounded, the stabbings on Friday have been three: a 14 year old boy was injured in Jerusalem, an Israeli Arab woman has been hit in Afula to the north, and a soldier on guard was assaulted in Kiryat Arba.

In turn, a deranged young Jew wounded three Arabs in the city of Dimona out of personal revenge. The act was immediately condemned by Netanyahu. At the border with Gaza, while Ismail Haniyeh recognized the participation of Hamas in the clashes, the army killed seven Palestinians attempting to go into Israel amid a demonstration of four hundred people. Heniyeh asked his people to go and pursue terrorist attacks inside Israel, and some tenths succeeded in entering the border.

Abbas tries now to water down the situation, knowing that an explosion can significantly damage his position as well, and Netanyahu has banned ministers and parliamentarians from entering the Mosques Esplanade. But the hashtag “Third Intifada” praises the “martyrs” and invites to join them: once again the hatred of terrorism bites the existence especially of the inhabitants of Jerusalem. It seems impossible that history can spill so much blood in this beautiful little town.

SnyderTalk Comment: You can call it a religious war if you want.  I don’t.

It’s racism and hate.  Religion is the cloak they wear.  It’s like the KKK’s white sheets.

JewsNewsABC News Uncovers Obama Admin Has Flooded America With Islamic Terrorists Disguised As Iraqi Refugees:

On August 8, 2013 NTEB News warned you of the plan by the Obama Administration to sneak into the country scores of highly-trained Muslim terrorists disguised as refugees from war-torn Iraq and Syria. Today, ABC News confirms that this has happened exactly as we warned you it would.

ABC News: Several dozen suspected terrorist bombmakers, including some believed to have targeted American troops, may have mistakenly been allowed to move to the United States as war refugees, according to FBI agents investigating the remnants of roadside bombs recovered from Iraq and Afghanistan.

The discovery in 2009 of two al Qaeda-Iraq terrorists living as refugees in Bowling Green, Kentucky — who later admitted in court that they’d attacked U.S. soldiers in Iraq — prompted the bureau to assign hundreds of specialists to an around-the-clock effort aimed at checking its archive of 100,000 improvised explosive devices collected in the war zones, known as IEDs, for other suspected terrorists’ fingerprints.

“We are currently supporting dozens of current counter-terrorism investigations like that,” FBI Agent Gregory Carl, director of the Terrorist Explosive Device Analytical Center (TEDAC), said in an ABC News interview to be broadcast tonight on ABC News’ “World News with Diane Sawyer” and “Nightline”.

SnyderTalk Comment: Don’t rule it out.  I wouldn’t put anything past Obama, and I mean anything.

He’s corrupt and immoral through-and-through.

Tabitha Korol—A Very Syrious Matter:

The Jewish Community Federations of North America have come together to provide humanitarian aid for Syrian refugees. The organizations, paid contractors who are identified in the Jewish Coalition for Disaster Relief, are too numerous to mention here, but include AIPAC, AJC, B’nai B’rith Int’l, HIAS, ORT America, and National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW), who are furthering the cause of population redistribution.

Refugees, unlike migrants, are defined as those who flee their homes because of persecution. President Obama authorized the State Department to admit 85,000 refugees fleeing humanitarian crises worldwide in 2016. Just as these Islamists have invaded Europe, so our multiculturalists are funding their invasion into America, and despite Saudi Arabia’s air-conditioned tents that are erected and ready to accommodate three million for their annual pilgrimage to Medina, no “Syrians” are welcomed within the Islamic world. By definition, not only are these Syrians not refugees, but the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has confessed that they have no screening process for “Syrian refugees.”

ISIS/IS promised a “sea of chaos” to flood the West with 500,000 refugees – not merely to create a humanitarian crisis and strain our resources, but to also include jihadists to force Islamic conversion and establish Sharia as the law of the land. Islamic countries claim to have declined the Syrians because of terror risks, and the Jewish Federations have turned a blind eye. Historian Serge Trifkovic wrote: “The refusal of the Western elite class to protect their nations from jihadist infiltration is the biggest betrayal in history.”

And who are these Syrians? The Federation’s announcement contained a particularly deceptive photo of a wide-eyed, blonde toddler complete with Teddy bear, but the refugees are primarily able-bodied young men, weaned on anti-Semitism and hatred of the West and democracy, who are seen stomping on or burning our flags, brandishing rifles, hurling fire bombs, and wielding swords for decapitation. These are Islamists who have waged wars against Jews and Christians, and brought their savagery to Europe, complete with their methods of intimidation – riots and rapes of children and women. The rape count was more than 5,000 in 2008 and more than 6,000 in 2009; Muslims account for 50 to 75 percent of all rapes of women in Norway, Denmark, and Sweden, and these are the men who are designated to receive Federation funding.

SnyderTalk Comment: The war is coming to us.  We’re importing it.

We won’t have to go “over there” to fight it.

Will you be prepared when it gets to you?

Pepe Escobar—Moscow doubles down on Washington:

History may eventually decide the ‘New World Order’ started on September 28, when Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Barack Obama had a 90-minute face off at the UN in New York.

Irrespective of spin – “productive” according to the White House, “tense” according to a source close to the Kremlin – facts on the ground accumulated almost immediately.

Putin did press Obama for the US to join Russia in a real grand coalition bent on smashing ISIS/ISIL/Daesh. The Obama administration, once again, relented. I detailed here what happened next: an earth-shattering game-changer in the ‘New Great Game’ in Eurasia, straight out of the Caspian Sea, that caught the acronym fest of US intelligence – not to mention the Pentagon – completely off-guard.

So this was Putin’s first message to Washington, and the Pentagon/NATO combo in particular; your fancy ideas of stationing tactical nuclear weapons or expanding missile defense to Eastern Europe, or even Asia-Pacific, are just a mirage. Our cruise missiles are capable of wreaking real effective havoc; and soon, as this piece argues, there will be more hypersonic, high-precision long-range missiles added to the mix.

Old habits don’t die hard – they remain in a coma forever. The Pentagon’s response to the facts launched from the Caspian Sea was to conduct an airdrop of light weapons to “a select group of vetted leaders and their units,” as in those famously non-existent Syrian “moderate rebels.” The weapons will inevitably be captured by assorted Salafi-jihadi goon outfits in no time.

Then the British government was forced to deny a Murdoch-controlled Sunday Times “report” that British Tornadoes in Syria are now armed with air-to-air missiles to counter potential Russian aerial “attacks.”

Sudarsan Raghavan and Swati Sharma—This map explains why Obama decided to leave thousands of troops in Afghanistan:

President Obama announced a significant shift to his Afghanistan exit plan Thursday: Instead of exiting, there will now be up to 5,500 U.S troops staying in Afghanistan through at least 2017.

The sudden departure from Obama’s proposed strategy in 2014 comes after months of major attacks by insurgent groups across Afghanistan, where the Taliban have recently gained territory — most notably temporarily holding the key northern hub of Kunduz, the first major city to fall to the insurgents since 2001. Afghan forces, with the help of U.S. advisers and equipment, were able to take back the city earlier this week.

Here is a more detailed map detailing recent attacks in Afghanistan.

SnyderTalk Comment: You need to see the map and read the article.

Burak Bekdil—Turkey’s Grisly Dances with the Islamic State:

  • If a “mere” 11.3% of Turks thought so generously of the Islamic State, it meant that there were nearly nine million Turks sympathetic to jihadists. Only 5% of that would mean an army of nearly 450,000.
  • Apparently, the people of Turkey did not “rise up and fight against these atheists [Kurds], these Crusaders and these traitors.” So they had to be killed by jihadists in suicide-bombing attacks. IS promised to attack, and it did.
  • 450,000 minus two (suicide-bombers) leaves behind too big a number. Turkish cities are unsafe.
  • Davutoglu cannot admit that jihadists alone had simply murdered people en masse in a twin bomb attack.

Simon Apfel—The Shabbat Project 2015:

On the Shabbat of October 23/24, 2015, Jewish people will gather once again in hundreds of cities around the world for the international Shabbat Project. The concept is simple: Jews of all walks of life, from across the spectrum – religious, secular and traditional; young and old, from all corners of the globe – uniting to experience one full Shabbat together.

Last year, around one million people in 465 cities and 64 countries took part – not just in unique Shabbat programs, but in city-wide pre-Shabbat Challah Bakes and post-Shabbat Havdallah Concerts. An untold number observed Shabbat in full for the first time in their lives.

“Even in our most optimistic moments, we could never have imagined the depth and breadth of the response,” says the project’s architect, South Africa’s Chief Rabbi Dr. Warren Goldstein. “It was thrilling and inspiring to witness Jews from across every conceivable divide – language, culture, ethnicity, geography, observance – viscerally embrace The Shabbat Project and make it their own.”

SnyderTalk Comment: No surprise here.  Erdogan is an Islamist.

Europeans have admitted too many Islamists already. The U.S. is doing the same thing.

One day, Europeans and Americans will understand that. Today, too few do.

4--Scripture of the Day Yahweh

Exodus 26

15 “Then you shall make the boards for the tabernacle of acacia wood, standing upright. 16 Ten cubits shall be the length of each board and one and a half cubits the width of each board. 17 There shall be two tenons for each board, fitted to one another; thus you shall do for all the boards of the tabernacle. 18 You shall make the boards for the tabernacle: twenty boards for the south side. 19 You shall make forty sockets of silver under the twenty boards, two sockets under one board for its two tenons and two sockets under another board for its two tenons; 20 and for the second side of the tabernacle, on the north side, twenty boards, 21 and their forty sockets of silver; two sockets under one board and two sockets under another board. 22 For the rear of the tabernacle, to the west, you shall make six boards. 23 You shall make two boards for the corners of the tabernacle at the rear. 24 They shall be double beneath, and together they shall be complete to its top to the first ring; thus it shall be with both of them: they shall form the two corners. 25 There shall be eight boards with their sockets of silver, sixteen sockets; two sockets under one board and two sockets under another board.”

14--Blessings from Revelation 2

Blessings in the Book of Revelation is a book that you need to read, especially now.  There are blessings throughout the Scriptures but Revelation is the only book in the Bible actually containing a specific blessing for reading it. It’s repeated twice, once at the beginning and again at the end. This is the reason that I believe Revelation should be the first step toward studying biblical prophecy. Though not easy to do, Revelation can be broken down and understood by anyone, not just the academic elite. So, Revelation’s blessings are for everyone.  Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.

  • Falsely Accused is a true story about a young woman who was accused of committing a double homicide. It’s about a travesty of justice, and it reveals Yahweh intervening in the life of a believer to rescue her from danger in the face of seemingly insurmountable odds.  Everyone will enjoy the book, but young people in particular need to read it because the mistakes made that led to the problem could have been avoided.  They were the kinds of mistakes that young people are prone to make.  As they say, forewarned is forearmed.  Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.
