August 27, 2015 SnyderTalk: Obama administration played Catch-22 on Iran deal

1--Intro Covering Israel and ME

“For from the rising of the sun even to its setting, My Name will be great among the Gentiles, and in every place incense is going to be offered to My Name, and a grain offering that is pure; for My Name will be great among the Gentiles,” says Yahweh Sabaoth. (Malachi 1: 11)

Eric Cortellessa—Obama administration played Catch-22 on Iran deal:

The maintenance and intensification of the American sanctions regime imposed on Iran, even in the absence of a tight international sanctions regime, could lead to a better deal than the one reached last month in Vienna, an Israeli expert on arms said.

Emily Landau, head of the arms control and regional security program at the Institute for National Security Studies based at Tel Aviv University, is one of Israel’s most respected expert observers on the Iranian nuclear program. In an interview, she said that the nuclear accord struck between the P5+1 powers and Iran on July 14 was the result of “failed negotiations.”

An adequate deal, she said, would include the dismantling of most of Iran’s nuclear infrastructure; the imposition of “anytime, anywhere” inspections in response to suspicious activities; requiring the regime to answer 12 critical questions posed by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) regarding past military nuclear work to the satisfaction of the agency; and explicitly tying sanctions relief to Iran doing so.

But, she stressed, her concerns about the deal also relate to “ambiguous language” in the agreement that could “enable Iran to manipulate the deal in ways they have with past agreements.”

SnyderTalk Comment: The Iran deal is terrible for Israel and for the entire Middle East.  Iran has hegemonic ambitions.  This deal will enable Iran to pursue its mission much more aggressively.  Middle Eastern leaders know that, and they are preparing for all-out war.

Middle East tensions suck in the rest of the world.  No country is insulated including the United States.  We are involved whether we want to be or not.

See the articles below:

Also, see “Obama Calls Iran Nuclear Deal Opponents ‘The Crazies’”:

Telling of his limo ride to the event with Reid, Obama said he and the Senate minority leader “were doing a little reminiscing and then figuring out how we’re going to deal with the crazies in terms of managing some problems.”

According to Politico, the “crazies” Obama was referring to are the opponents of the administration’s plan to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon. That opposition group includes mostly Republicans, but also several key Democrats, such as New York Sen. Chuck Schumer, who has been tapped to replace Reid as the top Democrat in the Senate.

The American people have a lot more sense than their president.  At least now we know how Israeli Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu feels when he has to deal with Obama.  Our president believes that people who disagree with him no matter how much solid evidence they have to support their conclusions are, to use Obama’s word, “crazies”.

Narcissistic is not a good descriptor for Obama because it doesn’t go far enough.  Maybe he’s the crazy one.

Now see “Israel should be annihilated, Iranian official says”:

“Our positions against the usurper Zionist regime have not changed at all; Israel should be annihilated and this is our ultimate slogan,” the Iranian Parliament Speaker’s Adviser for International Affairs Hossein Sheikholeslam was quoted as saying by Iran’s Fars news agency.

Obviously, this is serious business, so I’m not just beating a dead horse.  We still have more than a year to go before Obama leaves office.  During the past 7 years, we have learned many things about him.  One of his attributes is that he holds onto his convictions no matter what.  He won’t quit even when he is wrong.  Convincing him that he’s wrong is impossible.  Solid evidence means nothing to him.  We can’t afford to let up.

We’ve learned something else over the last 7 years, too.  Elections matter.  That’s a lesson we shouldn’t forget.

The website is not very long, but it’s loaded with factual information that proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that Yahweh is our Savior and that the Messiah is Yahweh.

I hope you will take a few minutes and explore the website.  I also hope you will share it with your friends and family.

It’s time for believers to tell the world about our God by His Name—Yahweh.

Ephraim Asculai: The Unbelievable Side-Agreements with Iran—Any self-inspection role for Iran will run counter to the presently accepted International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) verification methodology. How can one trust information produced, even partially, by the Iranians, who have such a distinguished record of concealment, lying and non-compliance with NPT and safeguards obligations? It can be envisioned that in future cases, if and when Iran is challenged to permit inspections at a named suspect site, it will surely demand the same privileges it has in the present situation. Moreover, other nations under IAEA safeguards could justifiably demand that they be accorded the same privileges as Iran and be permitted to carry out their own inspections. The IAEA should declassify and publish the confidential arrangements and bring them for the approval of its Board of Governors (BOG). The BOG should consider declaring these agreements null and void if they do not conform to IAEA standards and norms. If the situation is allowed to remain unchanged, this will become the symbol of the unwillingness of the world to confront Iran, and prove that the many declarations assuring the delay of Iran’s breakout potential are without any basis.

SnyderTalk Comment: The deal that Obama wants us to support has side-deals that no one seems to know anything about.  Would a reasonable person enter into a deal like this?  Absolutely not, but a sucker would.

Actually, the side-deals are getting attention now thanks to those who are warning about the dangers in this deal—dangers that Obama told us don’t exist.  In the past few days, the president has started calling opponents of the Iran deal “crazies”.  This much is certain: someone is crazy.

The video below demonstrates that our “negotiators” and their leader were and are asleep at the switch at best:

Abdulrahman Al-Rashed: Iran’s Bad Reputation Is Justified—The Iranian regime’s bad reputation is the result of more than 36 years of exported conflicts, revolutions, violence and extremist and hostile ideologies against any state or movement that disagrees with it. Its reputation is a direct result of malicious acts – abductions, assassinations and explosions – as well as threats and funding groups to mobilize against several countries. This is in addition to the violent form of governance inside Iran itself. Arab states think that Iran wants to calm the West and end sanctions imposed on it so it may resume plans to dominate the region. Meanwhile, Israel thinks that Iran plans to resume its nuclear military program and fears that the agreement does not provide enough guarantees and will therefore not only pose a threat against its security but also against its existence.

Jonathan Schanzer: Will the Iran Nuclear Deal Mean War between Israel and Hizbullah?—Hizbullah is Iran’s most prized non-state proxy. With Iranian weapons, cash, and training, the group has dedicated itself to war with Israel since the early 1980s. Today, Hizbullah is pointing 100,000 rockets at Israel, furnished almost entirely by Iran. Many launchers are strategically placed in high-density population areas in Lebanon to ensure that Israeli reprisals will be met with charges of war crimes. Hizbullah views the nuclear deal as a sign that its patron Iran is a burgeoning regional power, and that the military advantage is shifting away from Israel in the Middle East. It may not take long before the first provocation on the border. Washington openly acknowledges the possibility of a conflagration between the two, and the White House is now openly touting the fact that it wishes to help arm the Israelis to handle Iran-sponsored regional aggression of this sort.

Richard Cohen: Lessons on Twisted Leadership—What matters is not the yearnings of everyday people in Iran but the mad dreams of their leaders. Iran’s leadership consists of dense theocrats who vow the destruction of Israel. The current supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, is forthright in his hatred: “This barbaric, wolf-like, and infanticidal regime of Israel, which spares no crime, has no cure but to be annihilated.” The lessons of history are clear. The Iranian people are irrelevant; only the country’s leadership matters.

Tom Nichols: Iran Deal Truthers— A bizarre and silly social media attack on the Associated Press’ big scoop reveals much about the politicization of expertise. Sometimes, it’s easy to miss the good old days of the print media. (And yes, I am aware of the irony that you just read that sentence online in The Daily Beast.) In those halcyon days, the diligence required to challenge a story made it more difficult to impugn the integrity of the journalists involved. Accusations of sloppiness, mendacity, or outright fraud usually had to be grounded in something beyond partisan anger. And tarring an entire news organization as unwitting—or worse, willing—participants in a conspiracy was not a charge made lightly by responsible people. Social media and internet publishing have changed all that. Late last week, the Associated Press found itself on the receiving end of a kind of Iran Deal “trutherism,” in which people upset by an AP report on one of the Iran Deal’s side-agreements have taken on the same role as the 9/11 “truthers” who were “just asking questions” about conspiracies. They’re not making direct accusations, but the implications are hard to miss. And like the 9/11 truthers, the conspiracies point to the country beloved by truthers everywhere: Israel.

SnyderTalk Comment: This is getting otherworldly weird.

Dennis Ross and David H. Petraeus—How to Put Some Teeth into the Nuclear Deal with Iran:

  • If the Iran deal would block its paths to a nuclear bomb for the next 15 years and there is no obvious negotiated alternative, why are we still undecided? Put simply, because the deal places no limits on how much the Iranians can build or expand their nuclear infrastructure after 15 years. Iran’s ability to dramatically increase its output of enriched material after year 15 would be significant, as Iran deploys advanced models of centrifuges starting in year 10 of the agreement.
  • In terms of the size of its nuclear program, Iran will be treated like Japan or The Netherlands – but Iran is not Japan or The Netherlands when it comes to its behavior. It is, after all, one of three countries designated by the U.S. as a state sponsor of terrorism. While we hope that Iran may change, we cannot count on it.
  • President Obama emphasizes that the plan depends on verification – not trust. But what matters even more is that the Iranians recognize that they will pay a meaningful price when we catch them cheating. Deterrence is the key to preventing the Iranians from developing nuclear weapons. Iran must know that we will not permit it to become a nuclear weapons state ever.
  • Now is the time for the Iranians and the world to know that if Iran dashes toward a weapon, especially after year 15, that it will trigger the use of force. At that point, it would be too late for sanctions to preempt an Iranian nuclear fait accompli.
  • It is critically important for the president to state this clearly, particularly given his perceived hesitancy to use force. Indeed, were Obama to be unequivocal about the use of force should Iran violate its commitment not to seek nuclear weapons, the international community would accept the legitimacy of military strikes in response.
  • The Iranians also should know that if they produce highly enriched uranium – for which there is no legitimate civilian purpose – that we would see that as an intention to make a weapon and would act accordingly.

Israpundit: 94% of US rabbis didn’t sign in support of the Iran Deal—ZOA Analysis Shows “340 Rabbis For Iran Deal” Are From Groups Hostile to Israel, Including J Street (Which Works With Apparent Iranian Regime Group NIAC), BDS Group “Jewish Voice for Peace,” and Israel-Bashing “Rabbis for Human Rights”. 94% of U.S. Rabbis Did NOT Sign Pro-Iran Deal Statement, While American Jews Oppose Deal by 2-1, Israelis 7-1, and All Americans by 2-1. NEW YORK, August, 18, 2015 — The Zionist Organization of America (ZOA)’s analysis shows that the overwhelming majority of the “340 Rabbis for Iran Deal” come from groups that routinely take positions and engage in activities that are hostile towards Israel and inimical to American interests. The “340 Rabbis for Iran Deal” are a small fringe group. There are over 5,000 Rabbis in the United States. In other words, 94% of American Rabbis did not sign the statement supporting the Iran deal. The majority of the Iran Deal Rabbis come from the Soros-funded J Street. (George Soros is a self-described anti-Zionist billionaire.) Liberal Professor Alan Dershowitz explained that J Street “always seems to be taking positions that are anti-Israel.” J Street U’s new student board president is an anti-Israel Muslim. J Street has financial and other ties to the National Iranian American Council (NIAC), an apparent arm of the Iranian regime. Dissident journalist Hassan Daioleslam revealed that NIAC serves as a lobbying group for Iran, and that NIAC’s president and founder, Trita Parsi, has a long-term close relationship with Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif.

SnyderTalk Comment: People with good sense don’t get enough attention.  Those who control the microphone of the media make sure of it.  That’s got to change.

There is a penalty for trying to prevent Yahweh from fulfilling His promises, and it’s a stiff one.

Nima Gholam Ali Pour—Iran Deal Will Trigger Major War in Middle East:

  • The Islamic Republic of Iran, since its founding in 1979, has had an ideology that seeks to “export the Islamic revolution” — if necessary, by force.
  • Despite what President Obama likes to say, it is not true that the agreement, “permanently prohibits Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon” or “cuts off all of Iran’s pathways to a bomb.” This agreement means the U.S. has accepted that after 15 years, or sooner, Iran may build as many bombs as it likes.
  • Iran is not a country busy trying to preserve its own sovereignty. Iran, instead, undermines other countries’ sovereignty.
  • Iran’s regime is extremely pragmatic: it sees that its survival is not, threatened no matter what it does. It sees — as does everyone else – that transgressions are, in fact, rewarded.
  • Why does the U.S. wish to allow a regime that wants to destroy America’s closest Middle East ally to acquire more advanced conventional — and later, nuclear — weapons? Why would anyone allow a country that gives missiles to terrorists to get hold of intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs)?
  • If this agreement were about peace, why does Iran need more weapons? If Iran wants peace, why don’t they scrap their missile program and stop supporting terrorist organizations? If Iran wants peace, why does it want missiles that can reach other continents?
  • Hitler duped Chamberlain and presented himself as a man of peace. No one has duped President Obama. The mullahs openly say “Death to America.” Does Obama not know at whom the Iranians will point their nuclear-tipped ICBMs?
  • In the worst-case scenario, walking away from the deal still leaves the world in a position of deterrence that offers it better choices — before Iran becomes nuclear, not after.

SnyderTalk Comment: The drumbeat for war is intensifying.  The Iran deal is part of the problem.  It’s a huge part, but it’s just a part.  Political, economic, and religious upheaval globally are playing into it as well.  Eventually, the political and economic realms are going to break down completely.  When they do, watch out.  I think it’s beginning to happen now.

Lawrence Solomon: The Jewish turn to the Right— Jews have historically been leftists, over the last century consistently voting for left-leaning, liberal parties in Canada, the U.S. and Europe in higher proportion than any other religious group. Those liberal, left-leaning Jews are about to experience a political sea change as they turn massively to the right. The West’s political parties will also feel the effects — not directly at the ballot box, where the Jewish vote is generally too small to decide an election but indirectly, in their coffers, where the Jewish tilt in campaign giving has often meant the difference between victory and defeat. As one example, the U.S. Democratic Party typically receives between half and two-thirds of its funding from Jews, the Republican Party more like a quarter. The sea change will stem from the rise of anti-Semitism, which has always motivated Jews to action. A century ago, Jews flocked to the Communist ideal, believing that a world government in which all were equal would protect them from being seen by their fellow countrymen as an ethnic other.

SnyderTalk Comment: Change is slow and sometimes it’s very difficult.  As a group, Jewish people have been leaning left politically for so long that it seems unpatriotic to lean right.  Eventually, good sense wins.  That’s what’s happening.

Also, Jewish people cannot escape the fact that Yahweh chose them to deliver His message to the world.  Eventually, they will turn back to Him.  It’s beginning to happen already.  As a group, they have a long way to go, but they are moving in Yahweh’s direction.

Mati Tuchfeld: The Barak boomerang—If Ehud Barak had even the slightest thought of returning to politics, the recordings were proof to his last supporters that he simply cannot be trusted.

SnyderTalk Comment: PMO: Stop irresponsible chatter on national security”.  In this case, “irresponsible” is being too kind.

Leonid Bershidsky: Why Oil-Producing Countries Keep on Pumping—The big oil producing countries keep on pumping, even though prices are at a six-year low: Don’t they know they’re only making things worse? Chances are they do — each has its own reasons to continue — but this won’t go on forever. Someone will blink in the next year or so, most probably U.S. shale producers. In the U.S., the crude oil price has dipped below $40 a barrel. Brent, the European blend, trades below $45. Still, output from the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries increased to 31.5 million barrels a day in July. Production in Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Venezuela is at or near the highest level in a year. Russia, now the biggest crude producer in the world, increased its output by 1.3 percent year-on-year in January through July, and is pumping 10.6 million barrels a day. U.S. production has dipped slightly in recent weeks, to 9.3 million barrels a day from the June peak of 9.6 billion, but it’s still substantially higher than a year ago, when prices were more than twice as high. Also, see “Iran Says It Will Raise Oil Output ‘at Any Cost’”.

Economist-UK: The Persistence of Slavery in the Arab [Muslim] World— While IS’ embrace of outright slavery has been singled out for censure, forced labor for sexual and other forms of exploitation is not exceptional in the Arab world. From Morocco, where thousands of children work as maids, to the Syrian refugee camps in Jordan where girls are forced into prostitution, to the unsanctioned rape and abuse of domestics in the Gulf, aid workers say servitude is rife. The Global Slavery Index (GSI), computed by an Australian NGO working with Hull University, claims that of 14 states with over 1% of the population enslaved, more than half are Muslim. Prime offenders range from Mauritania to Qatar.

Michael Curtis: The Holocaust is Still With Us— On August 21, 2015 the Israeli born actress Natalie Portman, who won an Oscar in 2011 for her role as an obsessed ballerina in the film Black Swan, made a controversial debut on the political stage. She commented that the Holocaust has been the focus of too much attention from some in the Jewish community, and that it should not be used as a paranoid way of thinking that we (Jews) are victims. Ms. Portman is recognized as an impressive actress but her political views and the timing of her political statement would not receive an Oscar. Portman may not be obsessed by the question of the Holocaust, but other contrary views appeared virtually simultaneously. The Holocaust issue was ignited about the same time of her statement by non-Jews in two ways: one by the notorious British Holocaust denier David Irving; the other by the publication of extraordinary heartrending photographs of the humiliation and murder of Jews in Ukraine during World War II.

SnyderTalk Comment: Mike is right.  When Jewish people don’t see what’s happening, I’m concerned.  When the anti-Semites among us hear that a Jew agrees with them, they trumpet it from the rooftops.  Portman should know that.  The fact that she doesn’t is alarming, but she’s not the only misguided Jew in Los Angeles.

Israel’s Internal Security Minister Gilad Erdan, backed by the Israel Security Agency and the Israel Police, called on Monday to outlaw two groups of Muslim radicals who go to the Temple Mount on a daily basis to harass and intimidate Jewish visitors. “Morabiton” and “Morabitat” are Islamic fundamentalists paid by the Islamic Movement in Israel to shout at and block Jewish visitors to the site. “Their aim is to limit Jews wishing to visit the Temple Mount through violence and intimidation,” Erdan said.

4--Scripture of the Day Yahweh

Exodus 20

18 All the people perceived the thunder and the lightning flashes and the sound of the trumpet and the mountain smoking; and when the people saw it, they trembled and stood at a distance. 19 Then they said to Moses, “Speak to us yourself and we will listen; but let not God speak to us, or we will die.” 20 Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid; for God has come in order to test you, and in order that the fear of Him may remain with you, so that you may not sin.”21 So the people stood at a distance, while Moses approached the thick cloud where God was.

14--Blessings from Revelation 2

Blessings in the Book of Revelation is a book that you need to read, especially now.  There are blessings throughout the Scriptures but Revelation is the only book in the Bible actually containing a specific blessing for reading it. It’s repeated twice, once at the beginning and again at the end. This is the reason that I believe Revelation should be the first step toward studying biblical prophecy. Though not easy to do, Revelation can be broken down and understood by anyone, not just the academic elite. So, Revelation’s blessings are for everyone.  Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.
