August 11, 2015 SnyderTalk: Confrontation with Iran is inevitable

1--Intro Covering Israel and ME

“For from the rising of the sun even to its setting, My Name will be great among the Gentiles, and in every place incense is going to be offered to My Name, and a grain offering that is pure; for My Name will be great among the Gentiles,” says Yahweh Sabaoth. (Malachi 1: 11)

José María Aznar—Confrontation with Iran is inevitable:

There is only one thing the ayatollahs in Tehran want more than a nuclear bomb: that is for their regime to survive. Thanks to the agreement announced on July 14, they will get both. The deal will strengthen their tyrannical, revolutionary and fundamentalist regime, and they will have the bomb within a matter of years. The Friends of Israel Initiative, of which I am the chairman, has been warning that a bad deal is worse than no deal, and we firmly believe that the present agreement, despite the U.S. administration’s good faith, is a terrible one.

The evil is in the nature of the regime itself, which believes that violence is a legitimate tool to achieve expansionist goals. The Obama administration says that pouring billions of dollars into Iran will tame its aspirations and moderate its behavior. But that argument is based in idle hope. It runs against all we know about the Islamic Republic since its founding in 1979, as well as our experience with other tyrannical regimes, like North Korea’s. Dictators do not dissolve when they are showered in money.

Assuming, as this agreement does, that Iran will moderate its policies, renounce its hegemonic aspirations, reject its terrorist proxies and become a “normal” country is a dangerous gambit. The more likely outcome is an empowered regime, better equipped to pursue its regional interests and perfectly capable of building a nuclear bomb.

President Obama presents a false dichotomy in suggesting that postponing Iran’s path to the bomb is the only way to avoid bloodshed now. There are effective alternatives that fall between this agreement and war.

Though it may be true that the Russians and Chinese would have alleviated some of the pain of sanctions on Iran, it is undeniable that sanctions were taking a heavy toll. The Iranians didn’t come around to talking about their nuclear program after years of secret efforts because they suddenly lost interest. Sanctions worked.

SnyderTalk Comment: Aznar is a former Prime Minister of Spain. He’s right. Confrontation with Iran really is inevitable.  That’s not hyperbole, and it doesn’t matter whether the Iran deal goes through or not.

This confrontation will become an all-out war.  It has started already.  We are in it.  We are the primary target, but attacking us directly isn’t easy for our enemies.  The Iran deal will make it a lot easier.

Israel is Iran’s immediate target, and Israel is vulnerable to Iran’s ballistic missiles right now.  The Iran deal makes Iran a much more dangerous neighbor.  Israel knows it, and so do Arab nations in the Middle East.

See the articles below:

Now see “Iranian Senior Officials Disclose Confidential Details From Nuclear Negotiations: Already In 2011 We Received Letter From U.S. Administration Recognizing Iran’s Right To Enrich Uranium“:

Iranian officials recently began to reveal details from the nuclear negotiations with the U.S. since their early stages. Their statements indicate that the U.S. initiated secret negotiations with Iran not after President Hassan Rohani, of the pragmatic camp, was elected in 2013, but rather in 2011-2012, in the era of radical president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. The disclosures also indicate that, already at that time, Iran received from the U.S. administration a letter recognizing its right to enrich uranium on its own soil. Hossein Sheikh Al-Islam, an advisor to the Majlis speaker, specified that the letter had come from John Kerry, then a senator and head of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Iranian vice president and top negotiator Ali Akbar Salehi said that Kerry, while still a senator, had been appointed by President Obama to handle the nuclear contacts with Iran.

How much more do we not know about the deal we are being asked to support and told that we can’t see?

This is the bottom line: Barack Obama can’t be trusted, period!  The Iran deal should be rejected.

Rejecting the deal won’t solve the problem, but it’s a good first step.

Yedidia Z. Stern: Should Jews pray on Temple Mount?—What could be more natural and appropriate than full and complete realization of Jewish sovereignty over the Temple Mount – the tiny strip of land, just a few hundred square meters large, which has been at the center of the collective Jewish consciousness for generations? How can we, the fortunate generation that redeemed the Land of Israel and gathered in the exiles, fail to work actively to fulfill Isaiah’s vision that “the Mount of the Lord’s House shall stand firm above the mountains and tower above the hills”? When we sing “If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, let my right hand wither,” is it just lip service?

SnyderTalk Comment: “Even those I will bring to My holy mountain and make them joyful in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices will be acceptable on My altar; for My house will be called a house of prayer for all the peoples.” (Isaiah 56: 7)

Are there any questions?

Khaled Abu Toameh—The Secret Ethnic Cleansing of Palestinians:

  • According to the researcher, many Palestinians captured by Shiite militias in Iraq have been brutally tortured and forced to “confess” to their alleged involvement in terrorism. Since 2003, the number of Palestinians there has dropped from 25,000 to 6,000.
  • Most interesting is the complete indifference displayed by international human rights organizations, the media and the Palestinian Authority (PA) toward the mistreatment of Palestinians in Arab countries. International journalists do not care about the Palestinians in the Arab world because this is not a story that can be blamed on Israel.
  • The UN and other international bodies have obviously not heard of the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians in the Arab world. They too are so obsessed with Israel that they prefer not to hear about the suffering of Palestinians under Arab regimes.
  • PA leaders say they want to press “war crimes” charges against Israel with the International Criminal Court. However, when it comes to ethnic cleansing and torture of Palestinians in Arab countries such as Iraq, Syria and Lebanon, they choose to look the other way.
  • An Arab killing or torturing an Arab is not an item worth publishing in a major newspaper in the West. But when a Palestinian complains against the Israeli authorities or Jewish settlers, many Western journalists rush to cover this “major” development.
  • Not only do the Arab countries despise the Palestinians, they also want them to be the problem of Israel alone. Since 1948, Arab governments have refused to allow Palestinians permanently to settle in their countries and become equal citizens. Now these Arab countries are also killing and torturing them and subjecting them to ethnic cleansing, all while world leaders continue to bury their heads in the sand and point an accusing finger at Israel.

Boaz Bismuth: Mr. President, Iran is the enemy, not Israel—It is still difficult to predict how big of a majority in Congress, if it all, will reject the nuclear deal with Iran on September 17. This weekend, however, U.S. President Barack Obama suffered a setback when senior Democratic Senator Chuck Schumer decided to oppose the deal and jeopardize the Obama legacy. And Schumer is not alone. In the House of Representatives, Congressmen Eliot Engel (New York), Steve Israel (New York) and Brad Sherman (California) have declared their opposition to the deal. Sherman, a member of the House Foreign Relations Committee, was the sixth Jewish Democrat to voice his opposition. He compared the deal to the movie “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly,” saying: “I might be willing to accept the good with the bad during the first year of the agreement. But we must force modifications of the agreement, and extensions of its nuclear restrictions, before it gets ugly.”

Uri Heitner: Obama’s failed speech—With creepy timing, U.S. President Barack Obama delivered a speech to the American people just ahead of the 70th anniversary of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima in which he tried to make the case for supporting a deal that will turn Iran, a center of jihadist extremism, into a nuclear threshold power. Obama’s rhetorical skills are well-known and they were on display in the speech. Yet the content of the speech was weak and superficial. Obama did not provide a satisfactory justification for the deal and its terms and he did not give any sort of adequate response to the mounting criticism of the deal.

The Editors of Tablet Magazine: Crossing a Line to Sell a Deal—Chuck Schumer is a politician—a skilled and successful one. Which means that today’s announcement, following months of wildly uncharacteristic silence, that the senior Senator from New York is opposing the Administration’s nuclear deal with Iran is first and foremost a reflection of his calculations as to where his own self-interest lies. It does not take an electoral genius to imagine why a Senator from New York State might oppose a deal that keeps many Jewish voters—and an even higher percentage of non-Jewish voters—up at night. Keeping your base happy is generally the first rule of political survival. It also seems unlikely that Senator Schumer would not have consulted with his most powerful political ally and patron, Hillary Clinton, who also happens to be the presumptive Democratic Presidential nominee, before making such a big decision. Deciding to oppose a potentially world-altering legacy-oriented foreign policy move by a sitting Democratic president is not the kind of thing that Democratic Senators do lightly—especially with a presidential campaign now officially in progress. While Schumer doesn’t speak for Clinton or for her campaign, his decision to oppose the deal after months of pressure from the White House is a strong indication that neither Democrat felt like Schumer’s position was likely to have a particularly negative effect on her chances.

Ray Takeyh: Is the Nuclear Deal Likely to Transform Revolutionary Iran?—In the end, the viability of the nuclear deal between the U.S. and Iran rests not so much on technical formulations but on hope: the hope that in a decade, the theocratic state will shed its revolutionary attire and be transformed into a responsible member of the international community. President Obama is seemingly convinced that once Iran’s interests are taken into account by the world and its coffers filled, it will find the temptations of pragmatism difficult to resist. But this view displays little understanding of the clerical state and the unique role that religion plays in its self-image. The Islamic republic’s ideology is a radicalized variation of Shiite Islam. The regime’s loss of popular appeal is immaterial to those that perceive their legitimacy as deriving from the will of God. They see the U.S. as a sinister source of cultural pollution seeking to delude young Muslims in the name of modernity. Indeed, the clerical rulers appreciate that their revolution can survive only if Iran remains isolated from subversive Western influences. To them, Obama’s promise of global  integration is not an invitation but a threat. Thus, the legacy of the nuclear agreement will not be a transformed Iran but a revolutionary regime possessing an elaborate nuclear infrastructure and seeking to dominate the Middle East. In the end, the shadow of this deal is likely to haunt U.S. interests in the region for years to come.

Silvan Shalom—Don’t Trust Iran’s Words – Look at Its Actions:

  • We in Israel have been at the receiving end of gun and missile fire for decades. In that time we have learned, the hard way, that it is only our actions that ensure our survival, not written promises. Our neighborhood does not play by Western rules, and as the only democracy in the region we know all too well what it is to fight an enemy that abuses our values.
  • In our region, one regime stands out above all others in its destructive role. The ayatollahs in Tehran would have us believe that they are a peace-loving regime, and that the Vienna nuclear deal is proof of their benign intentions. But reality is telling us a different story, one that totally contradicts this narrative.
  • If we are to understand the Iranian regime, we must look at what it is doing, not just saying, and ask ourselves whether its actions are compatible with Western interests and values. Iran is the world’s leading state-sponsor of terrorism, arming and supporting Hizbullah, Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, the Syrian regime, and Houthi rebels in Yemen. It employs the Revolutionary Guards to perpetrate acts of terrorism throughout the world.
  • Tehran’s military nuclear record is well documented: the regime has been working clandestinely for decades to develop a nuclear weapon. Rouhani himself boasted of how in previous rounds of negotiations he took advantage of talks in European capitals to secretly advance the nuclear military project.
  • The West must look beyond its economic interests, and ask itself what values it has in common with the ayatollahs in Tehran. Iran has not signed up for peace. Iran is merely utilizing the tools given to it by Western democracies in order to stave off international pressure.
  • We must be clear eyed when it comes to Tehran’s intentions. If the past teaches us anything about the current regime, it is this: the terror will continue, as will Tehran’s destructive regional role, and the military nuclear project will be close on its heels.

Samuel Westrop—Britain: The “Struggle of Our Generation”:

  • “We’ve got to show that if you say ‘yes I condemn terror — but the Kuffar are inferior’, or ‘violence in London isn’t justified, but suicide bombs in Israel are a different matter’ — then you too are part of the problem. Unwittingly or not, and in a lot of cases it’s not unwittingly, you are providing succour to those who want to commit, or get others to commit to, violence.” — Prime Minister David Cameron.
  • In a series of religious rulings published on its website, the Islamic Network charity advocated the murder of apostates; encouraged Muslims to hate non-Muslims; stated that when non-Muslims die, “the whole of humanity are relieved;” and described Western civilisation as “evil.”
  • The Charity Commission’s solution, however, was to give the charity’s trustees booklets titled, “How to manage risks in your charity,” and warn them not to do it again.

Soeren Kern—UK: Anjem Choudary Charged With Supporting Islamic State:

  • A recent BBC poll found that 45% of British Muslims believe extremist clerics who preach violence against the West are not “out of touch” with mainstream Muslim opinion.
  • “Allah said very clearly in the Koran ‘Don’t feel sorry for the non-Muslims.’ So as an adult non-Muslim… if he dies in a state of disbelief then he is going to go to the hellfire… so I’m not going to feel sorry for non-Muslims.” — Anjem Choudary.
  • “Under the Shari’ah, the false Gods that people worship instead of Allah will be removed, like democracy, freedom, liberalism, secularism etc.” — Anjem Choudary.
  • “We are Muslims first and Muslim last. Passports are no more than travel documents. If you are born in a barn that doesn’t make you a horse!!” — Anjem Choudary.
  • Choudary urged his followers to quit their jobs and claim unemployment benefits so that they could have more time to plot holy war against non-Muslims. He said Muslims are entitled to welfare payments because they are a form of jizya, a tax imposed on non-Muslims in countries run by Muslims… as a reminder that non-Muslims are permanently inferior and subservient to Muslims.
  • Choudary says he is not afraid of going to prison, which he describes as a fertile ground for gaining more converts to Islam. “If they arrest me and put me in prison…” he warned, “I will radicalize everyone in prison.”

SnyderTalk Comment: This is a good beginning, but that’s all it is.

Britain is in serious trouble as are most other European countries and the United State.  We can’t afford to be politically correct any longer.  It’s time to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth about our common enemy.

Nikolay Kozhanov: How Putin Turns Turmoil in the Middle East to His Advantage— If the Middle East did not exist, Moscow would definitely have to invent it. Chaos in the Arab world has offered the Kremlin a convenient opportunity to shape public opinion at home on such issues as the legitimacy of the regime, its confrontation with the West and the situation in Ukraine. As a result, for the past two years, Middle East unrest has become one of the most popular topics discussed by Russian journalists and politicians. Many middle- and working-class Russians are nostalgic for the “imperial” glory of the USSR, and the Kremlin gives them what they want. Russian support for Damascus, close relations with Tehran and rapprochement with Egypt are presented as the restoration of the Kremlin’s influence that was lost after 1991.

Dan Merica: Black Lives Matter protesters shut down Sanders event in Seattle—Bernie Sanders came to Seattle on Saturday for two events. His first, a rally on Social Security in downtown Seattle, never happened. Seconds after Sanders took the stage, a dozen protesters from the city’s Black Lives Matter chapter jumped barricades around the stage and grabbed the microphone from the senator. Holding a banner that said “Smash Racism,” two of the protesters — Marissa Janae Johnson and Mara Jacqeline Willaford, the co-founders of the chapter — began to address the crowd. “My name is Marissa Janae Johnson, co-founder of Black Lives Matter Seattle,” she said to sustained boos for an audience that had waited an hour and a half to hear Sanders. “I was going to tell Bernie how racist this city is, filled with its progressives, but you already did it for me, thank you.

SnyderTalk Comment: See “Black Lives Matter, So It’s Time to Outlaw Abortion”—“Being conceived black in this country is a dangerous proposition. Did you know that 16 million black babies have been slaughtered in the past four decades? 16 million. 16 million. Do liberals realize this is happening? I assume they don’t. If they did, I expect they’d be shouting about it from the roof tops, given their great and righteous concern for the fate of black children.”

Black children more than any other group in our society are victims of abortion.  Unlike Matt Walsh who wrote the article that I just mentioned, I know that “liberals” know the facts and they just don’t care.  It’s a form of population control at the hands of liberal progressives.  Their leaders are Democrats.

Ironically, the people who shut down Sanders talk by shouting “Black lives matter” didn’t have abortion in mind.  The sheep are being led to slaughter, and they don’t even know it.

Now see “Aborting black America”—“The bottom line? I’ll say it again: 138,539 black babies, nearly one baby in three, were killed in the womb in 2010. According to the CDC, between 2007 and 2010, innocent black babies were victimized in nearly 36 percent of the abortion deaths in the United States, though blacks represent only 12.8 percent of the population. Some say the abortion capital of America is New York City. According to LifeSiteNews, the city’s Department of Health reported that in 2012, more black babies were aborted (31,328) than born (24,758). That’s 55.9 percent of black babies killed before birth. Blacks represented 42.4 percent of all abortions.”

This is the bottom line: blacks in America have an enemy and they flock to the polls year after year to elect its standard bearers.  The enemy is called the Democrat Party.  It’s an immoral, ruthless, and disgusting assemblage. Wherever they are in charge, we have gangster government.

I’m not endorsing the Republican Party, but I am saying that the Democrat Party is corrupt to the core.

Elise Viebeck: Bernie Sanders defends Iran nuclear deal—Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) defended the Iran nuclear deal, arguing that the only alternative to reaching an agreement is “war” and that to support the deal is to “give peace a chance.” “Look, I’m not going to tell you that this is a perfect agreement … It’s so easy to be critical of an agreement which is not perfect,” he said during an interview with CBS’s “Face the Nation.” “But the United States has to negotiate with other countries. We have to negotiate with Iran. And the alternative of not reaching an agreement, you know what it is? It’s war. Do we really want another war, a war with Iran? An asymmetrical warfare that will take place all over this world, threaten American troops?”

SnyderTalk Comment: Out of touch and ill-informed—a Democrat through-and-through.

Sanders claims to be an independent, but he votes with Democrats, talks like Democrats, and runs for president as a Democrat.

Who is he trying to kid? Bernie Sanders is a Democrat.

For the record, we are at war with Iran all over the world already, and we have been at war with Iran for some time.  Aiding and abetting the enemy is not a good wartime strategy.  When the war gets hot, we’ll call it treason.

Efraim Halevy: It’s not American Jewry’s responsibility to save Israel from Iran deal—It would be a historic mistake to push US Jews into a corner, and force them to choose between the trust and respect they have for their president, and answering the cry for help coming from Jerusalem.

SnyderTalk Comment: That’s a ridiculous argument. We share responsibility for protecting Israel, all of us. I fear for those who think that protecting Israel doesn’t matter because it matters to Yahweh.

Charles Gardner: War and Peace – a Tale of Two Books— The biggest problem in our sorry world is not politics, or religion, or looming environmental disaster – but sin. I’m talking about our sin, yours and mine, expressed in the evil deeds which seem to come so naturally to us. Behind the rage and fury of the ayatollahs is a sinful heart, full of wickedness, which will not be dealt with by appeasing politicians and bureaucrats. Only the blood that was shed by our Lord on the cross of Calvary outside Jerusalem 2,000 years ago can cleanse and unite hearts. As Jeremiah said so long ago, ‘Woe to those who prophesy peace, when there is no peace’. (Jeremiah 6.14 & 8.11)

SnyderTalk Comment: Jeremiah was speaking for Yahweh.  Below is the pit in which they placed Jeremiah for telling the truth.

Bottom line: Telling the truth may cost you something but not nearly as much as telling or buying a lie.

Donald Trump Considering Taking Pledge Not to Run as Third-Party Candidate

SnyderTalk Comment: From a political perspective, that makes a lot of sense.  Absent that pledge, Trump is just another man who wants to be president at any cost.

If he wants to represent the Republican Party, he should say so.  If not, he should run as an independent.

I think Trump has a good shot at winning the Republican nomination for president if he takes the pledge.  I’m not suggesting that he would make a good president.  I’m simply saying that he could win the nomination.

Money is the mother’s milk of politics, and Trump as a lot of it.  Denying those realities is ridiculous.

Can Trump win the presidency?  It’s possible.  I hope it doesn’t happen, but it certainly could.

See “Donald Trump: I’m Not Ruling Out an Independent Run…For Now”.  It sounds like Trump can’t make up his mind.  On his television show if he faced off with a guy like himself, he would say, “You’re fired.”

4--Scripture of the Day Yahweh

Exodus 18

13 It came about the next day that Moses sat to judge the people, and the people stood about Moses from the morning until the evening. 14 Now when Moses’ father-in-law saw all that he was doing for the people, he said, “What is this thing that you are doing for the people? Why do you alone sit as judge and all the people stand about you from morning until evening?” 15 Moses said to his father-in-law, “Because the people come to me to inquire of God. 16 When they have a dispute, it comes to me, and I judge between a man and his neighbor and make known the statutes of God and His laws.”

14--Blessings from Revelation 2

Blessings in the Book of Revelation is a book that you need to read, especially now.  There are blessings throughout the Scriptures but Revelation is the only book in the Bible actually containing a specific blessing for reading it. It’s repeated twice, once at the beginning and again at the end. This is the reason that I believe Revelation should be the first step toward studying biblical prophecy. Though not easy to do, Revelation can be broken down and understood by anyone, not just the academic elite. So, Revelation’s blessings are for everyone.  Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.
