Shiryn Ghermezian—Palestinian Envoy in Chile Denies the Existence of the Jewish People:

An antisemitism watchdog group rebuked a Palestinian ambassador on Monday for promoting anti-Jewish conspiracy theories and denying the existence of the Jewish people.

PLO Ambassador to Chile Imad Nabil Jada’a made the offensive remarks at the Conference for Peace in Palestine and Israel on May 15 in Santiago, Chile. A recently obtained video of the speech shows him advocating the antisemitic conspiracy theory of Zionist global domination, and claiming that the PLO “does not recognize the existence of the Jewish People.”

“There is no Jewish people,” he said.

In response, the Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy (ISGAP) said Jada’a’s comments combined “traditional European antisemitism with Israel bashing, a dangerous form of contemporary antisemitism, that also forms the ideological basis for Radical Political Islamist incitement to genocide” against Jews.

“Here there can be no excuse, as some still weakly contend, of separating criticism of Israel with blatant antisemitism,” the organization said. “A peaceful resolution to the conflict must include concrete steps to eradicate official PA antisemitism, and a real recognition of the ‘Other.’ One hopes that responsible leaders will take action and condemn this blatant expression of hate.”

In his speech, Ambassador Jada’a claimed that Zionists have “plans of dominating life in the entire planet,” and cited the infamous forgery The Protocols of the Elders of Zion as a legitimate and accurate publication.

SnyderTalk Comment: One has to wonder if Palestinians are deluded or just liars.  Actually, they are both.

Be that as it may, contemporary anti-Semitism does manifest itself as Israel hate.  That means the BDS movement is anti-Semitic at the root.  Thanks to BDS, bigots and anti-Semites have a socially acceptable outlet for their venom.

Question: What do you call leaders of churches that endorse BDS?

Answer: I’ve already answered that question.  They are bigots and anti-Semites.

Keep in mind that BDSers really don’t hate Israel and Jewish people.  They hate Yahweh, and Israel and Jewish people are His surrogates whether they want to be or not.

Question: Have you ever wondered why the Jewish people, a very tiny group, have attracted so much global attention for so long?

Answer: They represent Yahweh.  Yahweh made that decision, and Jewish people have no choice in the matter.

Adam Kredo: White House Says Iran Will Use Sanctions Relief to Fix Economy, Not Support Terror—White House officials on Monday held a private conference call with members of foreign policy groups to discuss ways of pressuring Washington lawmakers into supporting a nuclear deal with Iran. Matt Nosanchuk, an official in the White House Office of Public Engagement, told participants: “With respect to criticisms that any agreement that affords sanctions relief will open the floodgates so that Iran receives all this money it can then pour into its nefarious activities in the region, our response to that is they’re doing it anyway….Our expectation is that sanctions relief will go into bolstering the Iranian economy and not into supporting all these other activities.”

SnyderTalk Comment: That’s called gambling with other people’s lives.

Jonathan Tobin: Iran and the Battle for the Soul of the Democratic Party—As the Iran nuclear talks head down the home stretch, it is increasingly obvious that Secretary of State John Kerry’s comments about walking away from the negotiations if a “good agreement” isn’t obtained are not credible. A deal or, as Omri Ceren predicts, a “non-agreement agreement” is inevitable even as the deadline was extended to the end of the week. That means the focus will soon change from the standoff in Vienna to Washington where a Congressional debate on the deal that comes out of this process will soon begin. The result of a vote on the deal is by no means certain but most observers believe that although there will be majorities in both Houses that will vote against it, opponents will fall well short of the two thirds they need to override President Obama’s expected veto. Such an outcome will be made possible by the decision of a critical mass of Democrats in the Senate and especially the House to back the president’s deal even though it will not satisfy the administration’s own stated goal of preventing the Islamist regime from getting a weapon. If so, that will be explained by partisan loyalty and the hold the president still has over much of his party. But there’s no escaping an answer that is just as obvious that was highlighted in a new poll conducted by Frank Luntz that was reported today in the Times of Israel that sees Israel losing Democrats across the board.

Prime Minister’s Office: Netanyahu: “Breakdown,” Not “Breakthrough,” at Iran Nuclear Talks—Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told visiting Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias on Monday: “Today we face the possibility that a deal will be signed with Iran, which is the foremost state-sponsor of terrorism in the world…. Every day, more concessions are made and every day the deal becomes worse and worse. I could say that what we see in Vienna is not a breakthrough, but more like a breakdown, a breakdown of the principles that the P5+1 committed itself to uphold.” “This deal will pave Iran’s path to a nuclear arsenal. It will give them a jackpot of hundreds of billions of dollars with which to continue to fund their aggression and terror….When you have such a bad deal that resembles more and more the deal with North Korea, the conclusion is simple….Better no deal than this very bad deal.”

Islamic Republic News Agency: Rafsanjani: Forged Israeli Regime to Be Wiped Off Map One Day— Presence of the forged Israeli regime is temporary as eventually one day this alien existence that has been urged into the body of an ancient nation and a historical region will be wiped off the map, said Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi-Rafsanjani on Monday. The chairman of the Expediency Council made the comment in an interview with Al Ahd news website affiliated to the Lebanese Hezbollah Movement. In response to a question why the Zionist regime has done its best to prevent the path for reaching a nuclear agreement between Iran and the West, Ayatollah Rafsanjani said that even Tel Aviv knows well that Iran is not after acquiring nuclear weapons. ‘By doing so the Zionist wish to keep Iran engaged in problems permanently, knowing that the Islamic Republic’s political, economic, cultural and propagation status will all improve after such an agreement,’ he said. Asked about the future of the Palestinian nation, Rafsanjani said that he still believes that eventually one day the forged and temporary Israeli entity, which is an alien existence forged into the body of a nation and a region be wiped off the map. ‘Now when, and how that will happen, depends on the conditions which are rapidly changing. Those conditions can be provided very soon if the usefulness period of Israel will expire,’ he said.

SnyderTalk Comment: There he goes again.  Deniers should notice the source.  Will they?  That takes a little effort, so I suspect that the answer is “no.”

Rafsanjani can always rely on this explanation if he is called upon to defend his statement: “I didn’t say what I said.”  Palestinians use it all the time.

Iranian leaders may not be Palestinians, but they sure do act like them.

Washington Post Editorial: The U.S. Response to Iran’s Cheating Is a Worrying Omen—A recent controversy over Iran’s compliance with the interim accord now governing its nuclear work is troubling. The deal allowed Iran to continue enriching uranium, but required that amounts over a specified ceiling be converted into an oxide powder that cannot easily be further enriched. According to the International Atomic Energy Agency, Iran met the requirement for the total size of its stockpile on June 30, but it did so by converting some of its enriched uranium into a different oxide form. Rather than publicly report this departure from the accord, the Obama administration chose to quietly accept it. When a respected independent think tank, the Institute for Science and International Security, pointed out the problem, the administration’s response was to rush to Iran’s defense – and heatedly attack the institute. This points to “a U.S. willingness to legally reinterpret the deal when Iran cannot do what it said it would do, in order to justify that non-performance,” institute President David Albright and his colleague Andrea Stricker wrote. In other words, overlooking Iranian cheating is easier than confronting it. Albright is a physicist with a long record of providing non-partisan expert analysis of nuclear proliferation issues.

Dennis Ross: On Iran, worry about the deal, not the deadline— Just as June 30 turned out not to be a true deadline for the Iranian nuclear talks, it would be wise to treat July 7 — the extended deadline — much the same way. The Obama administration should make clear that it is prepared to conclude a deal at any time, provided it is fully consistent with the framework understanding from April; anything less, and there will be no deal. If the Iranians insist on trying to walk back or redefine the framework understanding, they will not only stretch out the negotiations but will lead us to harden our own position and impose new conditions. Taking such a stance is all the more critical now, with Ali Khamenei, Iran’s supreme leader, seemingly laying down conditions that are inconsistent with the framework understanding — no access to military sites or scientists, immediate sanctions relief upon signing of the agreement, no limits on research and development, and rejection of any restrictions on its program lasting 10-12 years. Was the supreme leader signaling that he does not want a deal? Was he posturing so his negotiators could seek more concessions? Was he playing domestic politics and trying to assuage hard-line opponents of a deal?

Michael Eisenstadt: Missiles and the Nuclear Negotiations with Iran—Iran is now insisting that UN sanctions on its ballistic missile program be lifted as part of a long-term nuclear accord, a development that highlights the importance Tehran attaches to its missile arsenal. Iran is believed to have the largest strategic missile force in the Middle East. Its medium-range ballistic missiles could deliver a nuclear weapon if Iran were to build such a device. Many observers remain concerned that personnel and facilities tied to Iran’s missile program were, and may still be, engaged in work related to possible military dimensions (PMD) of the nuclear program. Iran has a likely inventory of more than 800 short- and medium-range ballistic missiles including the Shahab-3 (1,000-1,300 km.) and Qadr (1,500-2,000 km.) that can reach Israel. Tehran has built this massive inventory so that it can saturate and thereby overwhelm enemy missile defenses. Its conventional missiles could serve as decoys that enable nuclear missiles to penetrate defenses. Washington and its partners must insist that Tehran respond to the IAEA’s questions about past engineering studies, design work, tests, and other elements of the PMD file prior to the lifting of sanctions. There is also a need for a UN Security Council resolution that would impose limitations on Iran’s missile R&D work and threaten real consequences for those who assist Iran’s missile program. Failure to do so would signal tacit acceptance of activities that could enable Iran to deploy its first nuclear weapon atop a medium-range missile.

David Gardner: A nuclear deal will not banish the Middle East’s demons—The final deadline is almost upon us for the US and five other powers to reach a deal with Iran to constrain its nuclear programme in exchange for sanctions relief. A deal would be not just President Barack Obama’s Nixon-to-China moment but evidence that diplomacy is still a good weapon to confront global threats. High quality global journalism requires investment. But the sectarian battle has intensified. Since the interim nuclear deal of November 2013, much of the Middle East has burst asunder. The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (Isis), originally the Iraqi chapter of al-Qaeda created after the US-led invasion in 2003, regrouped in Syria and swarmed back into Iraq, declaring a jihadi caliphate in swaths of Sunni territory in both countries and in effect partitioning them.

Dennis Mitzner: 5 reasons behind Israel’s startup success—With a population of eight million people, Israel has over 6,000 startups and attracts more venture capital per person than any other country in the world. The Israeli startup scene extends from the tech hub of Tel Aviv to Jerusalem and all the way to the southern desert city of Beersheba. The country’s success story can be traced back to many complementary or competing factors. I recently wrote about 10 Israeli startups to watch in 2015 and while it’s interesting to observe the individual movers and shakers, it’s fascinating to delve deeper into the underlying factors that have produced Israel’s highly successful startup ecosystem. Israel is often compared to the dynamism of Silicon Valley. However, Israel is unique with its own cultural traits.

Michael Curtis: The Nightmare of the Islamic State— The nightmare generated by the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (IS) is causing turmoil in the Middle East. Everyone affected is now pondering, “Am I awake or is this just a dream?” The new advances by IS in June 2015 have led to the exodus of another 30,000 Arab Iraqis from Fallujah, now in the hands of IS, to the Kurdish area of Iraq. Another refugee problem, seemingly not a concern of the venerable Archbishop Desmond Tutu or Alice Walker, has been born. One of the saddest misinterpretations of President Barack Obama was his terming IS a jayvee compared to al-Qaeda. IS has seized Palmyra in Syria, and then Ramadi, 70 miles west of Baghdad, capital of Anbar, largest province in Iraq. It has lost some areas to the brave Kurdish forces, and some of its commanders have been killed by U.S. air strikes, but its relentless march continues, and must be stopped. It is crucial to understand the extraordinary advance and success of this group whose origin can be traced back to the activity of the Jordanian -born Abu Musab al-Zarqawi who formed an insurgent al-Qaeda group in 2002, pledged allegiance to Osama bin Laden and was killed four years later. He was replaced by Abu Bakhr al-Baghdadi who rebuilt and strengthened the organization that proclaimed itself the Islamic State in April 2003, a status that was rejected by the rival terrorist groups, al-Qaeda and the Nusra Front.

Jonathan Spyer: Iraq Falls Apart as Iran-Backed Forces Keep Islamic State at Bay—The nearest positions of Islamic State are just 65 km. away from Baghdad. Islamic State is surely already organizing in the city, unseen, as it did in Ramadi, Mosul and Fallujah. The form that the defense against the Sunni jihadists is taking is seen at every intersection, on every wall, on every corner: the banners of Iraq’s Shia militias. The defense of Baghdad against Islamic State is not taking place in the name of Iraq. The men doing the fighting are there as Shi’ites. This applies even to many or most of those wearing the uniforms of the official Iraqi Security Forces. The leadership of three of the most powerful militia bodies is linked to Iran. The Badr Organization, the Kata’ib Hizballah group and the Asaib ahl al-Haq receive direct assistance from the Iranian Revolutionary Guards. The Saraya al-Salam militia of Moqtada al-Sadr is also pro-Iranian and aided by Iran but maintains a greater degree of independence.

Jill S. Schneiderman: How Academic Efforts to Boycott Israel Harm our Students—In March 2014, I stood with 27 Vassar College students at the Auja Spring in the West Bank together with Palestinian environmental educators. This learning experience almost didn’t happen due to opposition from faculty and students at our own academic institution. I am a tenured geology professor who teaches about the connections between land and water resources and social justice. Several months before the trip, my course and the study trip associated with it were subject to a boycott debate on campus. Protesters bearing anti-Israel signs stood chanting outside my classroom; students were pressured by their peers to drop the course. I would have liked for the students holding placards and chanting slogans outside my classroom to come inside and debate in full sentences. By fostering narrow perspectives, bullying stymies learning and is anti-intellectual. I understand that what happened at Vassar is happening at academic institutions across the country. Instead of engaging in debate, students and faculty are shutting down avenues of inquiry and blocking attempts to examine difficult issues.

Dave Merrick: Proof The Book Of Revelation Is No Joke—In 1975, I accidentally listened to a weekly, Sunday afternoon Catholic radio program (I’m not Catholic) where the priest/host was interviewing a representative from a very well known cash register company. That guest was introducing listeners to the new universal product code (UPC). His presentation was fascinating. I was just a little saddened because as a college student, I had worked various grocery and department store jobs in order to survive. And one of my favorite pastimes, something to do while I was watching the clock, was pricing product by hand – with a marker, an ink stamp, or stickers. The barcode, he said, would do away with all that. Just a few years after that radio program, in a grocery store, I first saw a computerized laser reader in action. Astoundingly, the checker just waved an item over that multi-beamed electronic eye and ‘BEEP!’–the rest is history. The whole deal is built upon simple, expeditious logic: immediately, in a single pass, the price is in the register – the buyer has a partial total, and the store knows what they’ve sold and how many they have left in stock. And when they need to order more, that can be done automatically. It also eliminates cashier errors. Today, it’s common knowledge that every facet of commerce uses the barcode for manufacturing, inventorying, shipping and receiving, retail sales – you name it. […] Nevertheless, when the moment arrives that our government or anyone else begins requiring us to receive any specific ‘mark’ – for purposes of trade, tracking, or whatever reason – to be taken on your right hand or forehead, REMEMBER THAT GOD’S WORD WARNS THAT YOU MUST NOT BE INVOLVED WITH THAT.

SnyderTalk Comment: There was a misunderstanding alright, and Azoulai demonstrated it for all to see.

Azoulai would be better off if he would learn to keep his mouth shut when he has nothing to say.

It would be wonderful to be able to get inside the mind of a man who would make such a stupid statement as the one made by Azoulai.  Alas, we can’t.  We are forced to speculate about his motives and his self-righteousness.

4--Scripture of the Day Yahweh

Exodus 14

10 As Pharaoh drew near, the sons of Israel looked, and behold, the Egyptians were marching after them, and they became very frightened; so the sons of Israel cried out to Yahweh. 11 Then they said to Moses, “Is it because there were no graves in Egypt that you have taken us away to die in the wilderness? Why have you dealt with us in this way, bringing us out of Egypt? 12 Is this not the word that we spoke to you in Egypt, saying, ‘Leave us alone that we may serve the Egyptians’? For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the wilderness.”

14--Blessings from Revelation 2

Blessings in the Book of Revelation is a book that you need to read, especially now.  There are blessings throughout the Scriptures but Revelation is the only book in the Bible actually containing a specific blessing for reading it. It’s repeated twice, once at the beginning and again at the end. This is the reason that I believe Revelation should be the first step toward studying biblical prophecy. Though not easy to do, Revelation can be broken down and understood by anyone, not just the academic elite. So, Revelation’s blessings are for everyone.  Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.
