Katie Lapotin—ISIS Responds to SCOTUS Gay Marriage Ruling – by Showing 4 Gays What the Islamic State Thinks of It:

Four gay men were executed by members of the Islamic State following the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to legalize same-sex marriage nationwide Friday.

As was reported by a Syrian Twitter user on a tweet posted on the #LoveWins hashtag and picked up by Gateway Pundit, the men were thrown off the roof of a highrise building in the Syrian city of Deir ez-Zor as a crowd gathered to watch below.

Several Islamists also reportedly sent out anti-gay messages on the social networking site using the hashtag #LoveWins. That hashtag was used by many worldwide to celebrate the ruling in Obergefell v. Hodges.

According to The Mirror, videotaped footage of the executions show that the men were forced to line up atop the five-story building before being thrown over the edge. There are no audible screams from the men as they plunge to their deaths, however spectators can be heard gasping as the bodies descended from the sky.

SnyderTalk Comment: Radical Islamists leave no doubt about where they stand.  Now, we need to convince Western leaders including Barack Obama that they mean what they say.

It’s amusing.  Western leaders lie to each other and to the people they were elected to serve constantly.  Journalists, watchdogs that they are, know it, but rather than expose the lies, they evaluate the quality of the delivery of the lie.

I’m reminded of a joke: A young man is sentenced to prison.  On his first night in prison after the lights were turned off, someone in his wing screamed out a number.

“435.”

The whole wing erupted in laughter.

A few minutes later, he heard another scream, “286.”

Again, the wing reverberated with laughter.

The young man was confused, so he asked his cellmate, “What’s going on?  Someone screams out a number and everybody laughs.”

The old man in the cell with him explained, “Several years ago, a warden came in to reform the place.  He distributed a joke book to every prisoner.  The men loved it.  Most of them memorized it.  Each joke had a number.  After a few years, a new warden took over.  He was a ‘get tough on prisoners’ guy.  He confiscated the books.  When you hear a number, it’s referring to a particular joke.  Most of the people in this wing remember the joke, so they laugh.”

That’s interesting, the young man thought, so he screamed out “189.”

There was total silence.

The young man whispered to the old man in his cell, “What’s the problem?”

The old man waited for a moment and said, “It’s all in how you tell it.”

Western leaders are lying—not joking, but journalists aren’t doing their job.  Rather than revealing the lies for what they are, they are evaluating the way the lies are being told.  The better the lie, the more praise they receive.

Most people know that they are being lied to and they don’t care.  Actually it’s worse than that.  People love it because the lies are just what they want to hear.

It’s a strange, strange world we live in.

Taylor Tyler: State Department And Benghazi: Obama And Clinton’s Conversation On Night Of Attack Redacted—”Top White House aide Ben Rhodes, Hillary Clinton, and many key Obama officials pushed others to tie the Internet video to the attacks,” Fitton continued. “It is disturbing that the Obama administration would use Islamist radicals to push the false Benghazi story in a way that would abridge free speech. It is little wonder that Mrs. Clinton and the entire Obama administration have fought so hard to keep these documents from the American people. All evidence now points to Hillary Clinton, with the approval of the White House, as being the source of the Internet video lie.”

SnyderTalk Comment: Investigating the Benghazi attack has proven to be incredibly difficult.  Now, we can understand why.

Hillary Clinton ignored advice that something should be done quickly to protect Americans in Benghazi.  She devoted her attention to concocting a story that she then sold to the White House.  When the White House bought the lie, the entire Obama administration team went on the offensive with the lie about a nondescript video being the spontaneous cause of the attack.

None of that was true.  The Benghazi attack was carefully planned and carried out by radical Islamists.

These questions must be answered:

  • Why did Clinton and Obama believe that a lie was better than the truth?
  • Why did they shield the perpetrators of the crime?
  • What did they hope to gain by selling that lie to the whole world?

Clinton and Obama have American blood on their hands.  This is not theater.  It’s not pulp fiction.  It’s real, and our president and his former secretary of state are responsible.

Of course, many others around the world have died needlessly.  They aren’t Americans, but the cause is the same.  Team Obama has abandoned our friends and supported our enemies.  The result is mayhem.

As Paul said in Galatians 6: 7, “Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.”

And now Hillary wants to be president.  The thought she might be president scares me.

Jewish Press Staff: Bad Terror Attack Near Shvut Rachel— Four people were wounded in a late-night terror attack Monday off Highway 60 near the Jewish community of Shvut Rachel, located east of Shiloh in the Binyamin region, about 45 kilometers north of Jerusalem. All four are residents of the Binyamin region and range in age from 20 to 27 years old. Local sources told JewishPress.com the passengers were able to return fire in the midst of the attack despite their wounds.  Watch this video: “Terrorists Open Fire on Israeli Drivers Near Community of Shiloh”.

SnyderTalk Comment: Shiloh is a “settlement in the West Bank”.  It’s in the Benyamin region, and it’s where the Tabernacle or Mishkan stood for 369 years before it was moved to Jerusalem by King David.  People who think that this land isn’t important to Yahweh are out of their minds.

Now consider what the Obama administration just told Israel: “US State Department: We won’t protect Israeli settlements against boycott”.  They should have said, “We won’t protect settlements, period.”  That’s what is actually happening.

Those “settlements” are part of the Promised Land.  Nothing and no one can change that.

Caroline Glick: The Iranian-American nuclear project—Under President Barack Obama, the US has implemented policies toward Iran that are catastrophic for Israel specifically, for US Middle East allies more generally and for US national security itself. Consider, first, the known details of the soon-to-be-concluded nuclear deal. In an article published by The New York Times this week, Prof. Alan Kuperman explained that Obama’s central justification for the agreement — that it will lengthen Iran’s breakout time to the bomb from the current two months to 12 months — is a lie. Based on nothing more than the number of centrifuges Iran will be allowed to possess and the amount of enriched uranium necessary to make a nuclear bomb, Kuperman demonstrated that far from prolonging Iran’s nuclear breakout time by 10 months, the deal will only prolong its breakout time by one month. In other words, the deal is worthless. Actually it’s worse than worthless.

SnyderTalk Comment: When the nuclear deal with Iran is finalized, President Obama will brag to the world that he has done a wonderful thing for mankind.  The truth, as usual, will be the exact opposite.

We are heading into unprecedented perilous times.  No one will be safe.

Thank you Mister President.  You will go down in history.

Everybody eventually goes down in history.  This is the important question: what will history say?

In Obama’s case, it won’t be what he thinks.

Neville Chamberlain and Adolf Hitler went down in history.  I’ll bet that neither one of them had any idea how history would treat them.  They were deluded.  So are today’s Western leaders.

Yossi Melman: Stop the hypocrisy and defeat Islamic State—The immediate knee-jerk reaction to Friday’s three-pronged terrorist onslaught was to tell the international community, “Enough. Stop the hypocrisy.” The day was one of the most difficult failures ever experienced in the global campaign against terrorism. More specifically, it was a failure in the effort to stop the phenomenon known as Islamic State. Nearly 100 people were killed in supposedly unrelated terrorist attacks. Thirty-seven tourists – mostly Germans and British – were killed in a resort on the Tunisian coast. Attacks also claimed the lives of 27 Shi’ite worshipers in a mosque in Kuwait; one man in France who was decapitated; and 30 soldiers from Burundi who were serving in a peacekeeping capacity in Somalia. That’s almost 100 people on three different continents in four countries. All of the evidence points to ISIS, which took responsibility for the attacks in Tunisia, France and Kuwait. In Somalia, the perpetrators are terrorists belonging to the local outfit al-Shabaab, whose leaders are torn between swearing allegiance to al-Qaida or making common cause with ISIS. From the Western point of view, there is no significant difference between the two. Both are seen as murderous organizations that have targeted the West, Arab governments, moderate Muslims, Shi’ites and Sunnis. They are also seen as one and the same by other religions and ethnic minorities in the Middle East, particularly Kurds, Druse and TUI, said they had about 6,400 customers across Tunisia at the time of the attack, including several of the people killed and wounded.

SnyderTalk Comment: Western leaders, particularly Barack Obama, have failed us miserably.

Our enemy is Islamism or radical Islam.  It has many names.  ISIS is one of them.  Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and the Palestine Liberation Organization are three more, but there are others.

They have told us in no uncertain terms what they plan to do, and they are doing what they have told us that they will do.  We ignore them at our own peril.

Western leaders have pointed to Israel and socioeconomic conditions as the causes of the unrest.  That’s ridiculous.  Israel is just one of their targets.  They want to rule the world under Sharia law.  And socioeconomic conditions didn’t make them hate.  They had to learn that, and they have lots of teachers.

How do I know?  It’s because they have told us.  You have to be ignorant beyond belief not to know it.

Europe is in their crosshairs, too, and the people of Europe can’t bring themselves to accept the truth.  Either that or they are afraid to accept reality.  It doesn’t matter which one is correct.

Barack Obama is an idiot.  He stubbornly refuses to admit that Islamists are Muslims.  It’s takes a special kind of fool to deny an undeniable fact so brazenly on television before a global audience, but Obama has proven on several occasions that he can do it.

Yossi Melman believes that hypocrisy is the underlying problem.  He may be right, but I don’t think he is.  Sometimes stupidity looks like hypocrisy, and I think stupidity is the problem.

Whatever it is, though, we had better get serious about our problem, and we had better do it quickly.

The truly insane part about this is that the entire world is at war with Islamism, and global leaders are doing everything imaginable to deny it.  The Iran deal is a case in point.

Iran is the largest state sponsor of global Islamist terrorism.  It is the head of the monster, but Western leaders are determined to help Iran develop nuclear weapons.  Of course, they deny that, but the facts tell the tale.  They are determined to ink a deal with Iran that will guarantee that Iran has nuclear weapons.

As I said, Western leaders aren’t hypocritical.  They are stupid.

See “Netanyahu: Western concessions to Iran growing as nuclear deal looms”.

See “Tunisia attack prompts one of biggest UK counter-terror operations since 7/7”.  The Brits should be ashamed.  They’ve fostered the growth of radical Islam throughout the UK; they’ve attacked people who tell the truth about the problem; and now they want to make a show of force.  Too little, too late.

Do you ever get the feeling that we’re watching another episode of the Keystone Cops?

Also see “Trey Gowdy Says He May Call On ‘Recalcitrant’ John Kerry To Testify About Hillary’s Emails”.  Will he or won’t he testify?  Thanks to Obama and Hillary, there are so many accessories after the fact and before the fact to choose from.

Washington Post Editorial: U.S. Should Not Be Swayed by Khamenei’s Nuclear Threats—The speech delivered Tuesday by Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei spelled out conditions that would make an accord impossible, short of a complete capitulation by the U.S. He rejected a long-term limitation of Iran’s uranium enrichment, curbs on its research and development, and international inspections of military facilities, and he said all U.S. and UN sanctions must be lifted “immediately after the signing of the agreement.” It’s possible that the ayatollah’s speech was a bluff intended to improve Iran’s bargaining position. A more disturbing possibility is that Iran’s ruler is setting the precedent for disregarding a deal sometime after it is concluded and after the regime pockets the tens of billions of dollars in immediate financial relief it could receive. Whatever the case, the Obama administration must resist the temptation to respond with eleventh-hour concessions. Throughout the Iran negotiations, Mr. Obama has insisted that he is ready to walk away rather than accept a bad deal. In light of the Khamenei speech, the White House must be ready to act on that threat.

Uzay Bulut: Who is Responsible for the Atrocities in the Muslim World?— Every time the ISIS, Boko Haram, Iran, or any terrorist group in the Muslim world is discussed, many people tend to hold the West responsible for the devastation and murders they commit. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Blaming the failures in the Muslim world on Western nations is simply bigotry and an attempt to shift the blame and to prevent us from understanding the real root cause of the problem. When these Islamic terrorist groups abduct women to sell them as sex-slaves or “wives;” conduct mass crucifixions and forced conversions; behead innocent people en masse; try to extinguish religious minorities and demolish irreplaceable archeological sites, the idea that this is the fault of the West is ludicrous, offensive and wrong.

Col. Richard Kemp: The U.N.’s Gaza Report Is Flawed and Dangerous— As a British officer who had more than his share of fighting in Afghanistan, Iraq and the Balkans, it pains me greatly to see words and actions from the United Nations that can only provoke further violence and loss of life. The United Nations Human Rights Council report on last summer’s conflict in Gaza, prepared by Judge Mary McGowan Davis, and published on Monday, will do just that. The report starts by attributing responsibility for the conflict to Israel’s “protracted occupation of the West Bank and the Gaza Strip,” as well as the blockade of Gaza. Israel withdrew from Gaza 10 years ago. In 2007 it imposed a selective blockade only in response to attacks by Hamas and the import of munitions and military matériel from Iran. The conflict last summer, which began with a dramatic escalation in rocket attacks targeting Israeli civilians, was a continuation of Hamas’s war of aggression. In an unusual concession, the report suggests that Hamas may have been guilty of war crimes, but it still legitimizes Hamas’s rocket and tunnel attacks and even sympathizes with the geographical challenges in launching rockets at Israeli civilians: “Gaza’s small size and its population density make it particularly difficult for armed groups always to comply” with the requirement not to launch attacks from civilian areas.

Sevil Erkuş: Erdoğan vows to prevent Kurdish state in northern Syria, as Iran warns Turkey— President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan vowed to prevent the establishment of a Kurdish state in northern Syria, while Iran warned Turkey over military intervention into its neighbor. “I am addressing the whole world: We will never allow a state to be formed in northern Syria, south of our border,” Erdoğan said at a Ramadan event organized by Turkish Red Crescent in Istanbul late June 26. “We will keep up with our struggle whatever the cost is. They are trying to complete an operation to change the demographics of the region. We will not condone,” he said. Turkey’s pro-government media outlets have recently been claiming that Syrian Kurdish fighters who fought ISIL engaged in “ethnic cleansing” targeting Syrian Turkmens.

SnyderTalk Comment: Erdoğan is about to discover what happens when you try to play both ends from the middle.

Uzi Rabi: The 21st century Middle East—Ever since the “Arab Spring,” the Middle East has been spinning in a giddy vortex. Alongside major political and social upheavals, there has also been a dramatic shift in geo-political alignments. And although it is impossible to make a coherent forecast of what lies ahead, one thing is abundantly clear: the tried and trusted conceptual frameworks and modus operandi of the 20th century are no longer valid. For one, the 1916 Sykes-Picot agreement, according to which the borders of the nation states of the Fertile Crescent were artificially drawn after World War I, is unraveling. The countries it created are breaking up into older pre-state sectarian and tribal formations. In this inchoate and as yet unmapped 21st century Middle East, Alawites, Sunnis and Kurds are fortifying regional strongholds in a disintegrating Syria; the ethnic divide in Lebanon is widening; and in Iraq the central government has failed to heal deep Shi’ite-Sunni wounds.

Gabrielle Cubera: ‘The unthinkable is real,’ author warns about persecutions of Middle East Christians— Growing unrest in the Middle East is causing great concern for the Christian community around the world, and author George J. Marlin is hoping to enlighten Western Christians on how seriously matters are progressing, as their brethren in the Middle East continue to undergo persecution. His latest book, Christian Persecutions in the Middle East: A 21st Century Tragedy, was published earlier this month by St. Augustine’s Press, and details the rise of radical Islamism and its impact on Christians throughout the Middle East. “Western civilization was built on Christianity which, sadly enough, is being forgotten for Western Europe, and even in this nation here,” Marlin told CNA. “I think the Church’s job is to remind the West that its civilization was based on the concept that man is a creature made in the image and likeness of God, and therefore is entitled by his very nature … basic rights, including the freedom to practice one’s religion.”

Reihan Salam: Why Politicians—on Both Sides of the Aisle—Moved So Swiftly to Embrace Same-Sex Marriage— ver a remarkably brief period of time, same-sex civil marriage has gone from being a cause advanced by a small handful of activists to one that’s been embraced by 60 percent of Americans, including a majority of Republicans under the age of 30. As we contemplate the monumental Supreme Court decision establishing a constitutional right to same-sex marriage, it’s worth stopping to consider why support for same-sex marriage has grown so rapidly. One possibility is that there is a network externality effect at work, as the sociologist Gabriel Rossman suggested back in 2009. Rossman argued that same-sex marriage gained ground in part because influential policymakers were desperate not to be on the wrong side of history. While policymakers shift their stances on all kinds of issues, some of them take on greater weight than others. When we look back at defenders of segregation, for example, we look upon them differently than we do on those who argued that Eisenhower’s Interstate Highway System was going to be a colossal flop. Precisely because same-sex marriage is such a morally charged issue, the stakes for getting it wrong are high. The louder, more definitive the position you take against same-sex marriage, the more embarrassed you might be in the future. While I’m sure that many of the politicians who have had a sudden conversion on the subject of same-sex marriage in the last few years are entirely sincere in their change of heart, and would have shifted on the issue even if doing so came at great personal cost, I imagine that rather a lot of them are as calculating and self-interested as the rest of us: They saw where the young and influential were heading, and they didn’t want to get left behind.

Herb Keinon: More tension in Israeli-Turkish ties—Turkey’s Foreign Ministry on Friday summoned Israel’s highest-ranking Israeli diplomat in Ankara to explain why a group of Turks was refused entry at Ben-Gurion Airport last week. The meeting with the diplomat, Amira Oren, is scheduled to take place on Monday, an Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman said. On Thursday, a group of nine Turks – including some journalists – traveling to Israel was detained at the airport, and after several hours of questioning, seven of them were refused entry and sent back. The Foreign Ministry said that the seven Turks were deported for security reasons, and Reuters quoted an official from the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) as saying those denied entry were suspected of having links to Hamas.

Ingrid Carlqvist: Sweden: “A Place to Islamize”— On May 2, journalist Per Gudmundson revealed in his blog, where he monitors violent Islamists, that a Swedish-Iraqi named Jasim al Tib was killed in combat against ISIS. The man apparently fought for al-Hashd al-Shaabi (People’s Mobilization), an umbrella organization mainly for Shiite militia groups. The group was founded in June 2014 by the Iraqi government. Its forces are said to number about 100,000 men, and its purpose is apparently to fight the Islamic State. On May 5, Haras Rafiq, president of the Quilliam Foundation, a British think tank that tries to stop young Muslims from becoming radicalized, aimed harsh criticism at the Swedish government’s indulgence of Islamists: “Sweden, to a much larger extent than other countries, allows hate preachers to enter the country and give lectures to spread their message. Sweden should deal with this.”

Bassam Tawil: Behind the French “Peace Initiative”— The latest missile to split the skies over the Middle East is not a rocket; it is the French “peace” initiative. No one in the Middle East has the slightest doubt that whatever its objective may be, it will not promote peace between Israel and the Palestinians. It is a desperate attempt by the French government to buy a few more days of quiet from its Muslim community, especially from the members of the Muslim Brotherhood and the terrorist organizations to which it gave birth — all waiting for the order to run riot through the streets of France. We, the Palestinians, have suffered, and continue to suffer, from the creation of the Islamist terrorist organizations within the Palestinian Authority territory; it is they who keep us from reaching a peace agreement with the Jews.

Soeren Kern: UK: Belfast Pastor Faces Prison for “Grossly Offending” Islam— An evangelical Christian pastor in Northern Ireland is being prosecuted for making “grossly offensive” remarks about Islam. James McConnell, 78, is facing up to six months in prison for delivering a sermon in which he described Islam as “heathen” and “satanic.” The message was streamed live on the Internet, and a Muslim group called the police to complain. According to Northern Ireland’s Public Prosecution Service (PPS), McConnell violated the 2003 Communications Act by “sending, or causing to be sent, by means of a public electronic communications network, a message or other matter that was grossly offensive.” Observers say that McConnell’s prosecution is one of a growing number of examples in which British authorities — who routinely ignore incendiary speech by Muslim extremists — are using hate speech laws to silence Christians.

SnyderTalk Comment: Are the people of the UK insane?  It sure looks as though they are.

How is it possible to offend anyone who delights in chopping off heads, holding them up for the cameras, and then posting them on the internet for the world to see?

I’m offended that the British are so foolish that they would charge someone with a crime for telling the truth while they wring their hands about the atrocities being committed by people who were offended by the man who told the truth.

This is otherworldly stupid.

Burak Bekdil: Erdogan’s Fake Campaign to Save Morsi— Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s fierce campaign to help out his ideological next-of-kin, Egypt’s former President Mohamed Morsi, is not doing any favor to the Muslim Brotherhood man. Morsi, who was deposed by General Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi in 2013, was recently sentenced by an Egyptian court to both death and life imprisonment, for separate crimes. Once again, Erdogan is more motivated by ideological rhetoric — aimed at boosting his popularity at home and on the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas streets — than serving a democratic purpose, which, in this case, should be to save Morsi at least from his death sentence.

SnyderTalk Comment: Erdogan is an idiot and Morsi deserves what’s coming to him.

Michael Rubin: Is Erdoğan Preparing a Coup?— Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is no advocate of democracy, having once famously compared it to a street car: ‘You ride it as far as you need and then you step off.” But, he is a man on a mission. While he once parroted the rhetoric of economic reform and democracy, today it is apparent that self-enrichment trumps reform, and he has long since acknowledged that his goal is to “raise a religious generation.” That goal — and its fulfillment of a religious dream — trumps any sort of democratic legitimacy or accountability. Erdoğan will never allow voters to prioritize Kurdish identity or secularism to derail what his behavior suggests he sees as a divine mission. Over the last 12 years, Erdoğan has had an amazing political streak. With multiple secular parties dividing the vote but almost all failing to surpass the 10 percent threshold, Erdoğan was able to amplify a 34 percent vote into a supermajority. Through talent, constituent services, and perhaps a Gulf Arab-provided slush fund as well, he had an amazing political streak, not only winning successive elections, but also often adding to his majority.

SnyderTalk Comment: Keep watching.  There is more to come.

David Bernstein: Is It “OK to Drop a One-Ton Bomb in the Middle of a Neighborhood” if You’re at War?—Mary McGowan Davis, who headed the UN commission that investigated last summer’s Israel-Hamas conflict in Gaza, toldHa’aretz: “It is not OK to drop a one-ton bomb in the middle of a neighborhood.” Yet if the rule was “you may never bomb in a residential neighborhood if civilian casualties may result, regardless of the value of the military target,” it’s pretty obvious what would happen – enemy forces would simply plant themselves in residential neighborhoods, knowing they would be immune from attack. So, for example, Hamas could launch all the missiles it wanted at Israel from the middle of Gaza City, and use apartment buildings, schools, etc. as staging grounds and headquarters, and Israel would be helpless to respond. Surely it can’t be the rule that if you’re at war and there are high-value military targets in a civilian neighborhood, you are absolutely forbidden from using “explosive weapons” against them. (And it’s not like the alternative, sending in ground forces to fight house-to-house, is likely to result in fewer overall civilian casualties than precision bombing campaigns.) Has any country actually adopted such a policy? Would the public of any country stand for its leaders adopting such a policy, exposing the country’s own population to attack while their own military stands down?

Center for Security Policy: Poll of U.S. Muslims Reveals Support for Supremacy of Shariah Courts—According to a new survey of 600 Muslims living in the U.S., 51% agreed that “Muslims in America should have the choice of being governed according to Shariah [Islamic law].” Only 39% said that Muslims in the U.S. should be subject to American courts, while an earlier national survey of the general population found by a margin of 92%-2% that Muslims should be subject to the same courts as other citizens. 24% of the Muslims polled believed: “It is legitimate to use violence to punish those who give offense to Islam by, for example, portraying the prophet Mohammed.” 19% of Muslims said that the use of violence is justified in order to make Shariah the law of the land in the U.S.

Raymond Ibrahim: Islamic Hate for the Christian Cross— Last May in Italy, a Muslim boy of African origin beat a 12-year-old girl during school because she was wearing a crucifix around her neck.  The African schoolboy, who had only started to attend the school approximately three weeks earlier, began to bully the Christian girl—“insulting her and picking on her in other ways all because she was wearing the crucifix”—before he finally “punched the girl violently in the back.” What is it about the Christian cross that makes some Muslims react this way? The fact is, Islamic hostility to the cross is an unwavering fact of life—one that crosses continents and centuries; one that is very much indicative of Islam’s innate hostility to Christianity. Doctrine and History Because the Christian cross is the quintessential symbol of Christianity—for all denominations, including most forms of otherwise iconoclastic Protestantism—it has been a despised symbol in Islam. According to the Conditions of Omar—a Medieval text which lays out the many humiliating stipulations conquered Christians must embrace to preserve their lives and which Islamic history attributes to the second “righteous caliph,” Omar al-Khattab—Christians are “Not to display a cross [on churches]… and “Not to produce a cross or [Christian] book in the markets of the Muslims.”

Steve Apfel: Type B Holocaust denial is the one to fear— After the snake in the Garden of Eden, Man learnt to do evil’s bidding in tempting and beautiful ways. From then on forbidden fruit was no match for a silvery tongue. On the wings of fine sentiments depraved causes seduce the human mind; empty mantras draw utopians in droves; wishful thinking trumps facts on the ground; hot denunciations usurp law; parroted claims pass for truth. And who bears the brunt of these fine sentiments, silvery tongues and evil’s bidding? “The Jews disseminate everywhere the lie of the Holocaust and claim that Hitler killed six million Jews in gas chambers. Although pure falsehood, they have made it part of their history.” Adel Bin Ahmad, preacher at the Jeddah mosque, is a Type A denier. Too crude for admission to decent society, in the Islamic world (or in pockets of the West filled by the Islamic world) Type A deniers are taken with a straight face. Bin Ahmad can talk in that manner because his world is filled with a fear of the awesomely powerful and conspiring Jew. The Type A denier can dispense with tempting appeal and slick tongue – unless he hails from Iran. Mullahs and Ayatollahs from Iran must not disturb minds in Washington while the do or die nuclear deal froths and bubbles.

Geoffrey Smith: Everything to Know About Greece’s Economic Crisis— How Greece and the eurozone ended up in this mess, and where they go from here: Q. How did we get here?  A. Long story. Greece’s economy was never strong enough to share a currency with Germany’s, but both sides pretended it was, as it satisfied Greek pride and Germany’s ambitions (suffused with war guilt) of building an ‘Ever Closer Union’ in a new, democratic Europe. Reckless lending by French and German banks allowed the Greeks to finance widening budget and current account deficits for six years, but private capital flows dried up sharply after the 2008 crisis, forcing Greece to seek help from Eurozone governments and the International Monetary Fund in 2010.

SnyderTalk Comment: This article is worth reading, but it is Smith’s and TIME’s perspective.  There are other countries in Europe that are not far behind Greece.  That’s the real problem.

By the way, the “radical left” in Greece is eerily similar to the political left in the U.S.

That tells us a lot.

See “Puerto Rico Can’t Pay $72 Billion Debt, Governor Warns”.  Puerto Rico is an unincorporated U.S. territory.  It’s one step short of being a state.

Cassandra Vinograd: ISIS Anniversary: The Year Since Caliphate Was Declared— One year after a caliphate was declared spanning Syria and Iraq, there is little to celebrate — unless you’re ISIS. Despite a massive international campaign to defeat the the brutal militants, ISIS has not only managed to hold onto the territory but has expanded its reach beyond those borders over the last 12 months. “It’s been a great year for ISIS,” according to Matthew Henman, head of IHS Jane’s Terrorism and Insurgency Center. “This would be close to a best-case scenario for them.” Majeed Al-Hamadani, a 43-year-old high-school teacher in Baghdad, agreed. “Nothing was changed during the past year,” he told NBC News. “ISIS lost some territories but they were able to take over other areas. The Iraqi soldiers do not have the will to fight.”

4--Scripture of the Day Yahweh

Exodus 13

17 Now when Pharaoh had let the people go, God did not lead them by the way of the land of the Philistines, even though it was near; for God said, “The people might change their minds when they see war, and return to Egypt.” 18 Hence God led the people around by the way of the wilderness to the Red Sea; and the sons of Israel went up in martial array from the land of Egypt. 19 Moses took the bones of Joseph with him, for he had made the sons of Israel solemnly swear, saying, “God will surely take care of you, and you shall carry my bones from here with you.” 20 Then they set out from Succoth and camped in Etham on the edge of the wilderness. 21 Yahweh was going before them in a pillar of cloud by day to lead them on the way, and in a pillar of fire by night to give them light, that they might travel by day and by night. 22 He did not take away the pillar of cloud by day, nor the pillar of fire by night, from before the people.

SnyderTalk Comment: Read His Name is Yahweh.

5--HNIY Print form

His Name is Yahweh explains why the Name of God, Yahweh, is so important.  It’s available in eBook format and in paperback.  It’s also available for free in PDF format.

  • God also said to Moses, “Say to the Israelites, ‘Yahweh, the God of your fathers—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob—has sent me to you.’ This [Yahweh] is my name forever, the name by which I am to be remembered from generation to generation.” (Exodus 3: 15)
  • “Therefore behold, I am going to make them know—this time I will make them know My power and My might; and they shall know that My name is Yahweh.” (Jeremiah 16: 21)
  • “Behold, the days are coming,” declares Yahweh, “when I will raise up for David a righteous Branch; and He will reign as king and act wisely and do justice and righteousness in the land. In His days Judah will be saved, and Israel will dwell securely; and this is His name by which He will be called, ‘Yahweh our righteousness.’” (Jeremiah 23: 5-6)
  • Yeshua said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am.” (John 8: 58)

14--Blessings from Revelation 2

Blessings in the Book of Revelation is a book that you need to read, especially now.  There are blessings throughout the Scriptures but Revelation is the only book in the Bible actually containing a specific blessing for reading it. It’s repeated twice, once at the beginning and again at the end. This is the reason that I believe Revelation should be the first step toward studying biblical prophecy. Though not easy to do, Revelation can be broken down and understood by anyone, not just the academic elite. So, Revelation’s blessings are for everyone.  Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.

Other Books by Neil Snyder

  • Stand! is a suspense novel that exposes the lies, corruption, and greed underlying the theory that man-made CO2 emissions are responsible for global warming. Professor Wes Carlyle and Karen Sterling, his research collaborator, carefully scan the audience for their would-be attacker—a member of the enviro-gestapo who has been following them for days.  Wes spots his man in the back of the room leaning against the wall.  Suddenly, another man in the audience steps forward and moves toward Karen at a menacing pace.  With a vicious stroke, he swings a billy club at her head.  Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.
  • What Will You Do with the Rest of Your Life? deals with a question that every Christian has to consider: what should I do with my life? Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.
  • Falsely Accused is a true story about a young woman who was accused of committing a double homicide. It’s about a travesty of justice, and it reveals Yahweh intervening in the life of a believer to rescue her from danger in the face of seemingly insurmountable odds.  Everyone will enjoy the book, but young people in particular need to read it because the mistakes made that led to the problem could have been avoided.  They were the kinds of mistakes that young people are prone to make.  As they say, forewarned is forearmed.  Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.
