Dr. Nessia Shemer—Temple Mount hypocrisy:

“For Al-Aqsa We Will Run Over Settlers” is the name of a new song put online recently by two Palestinian singers from Ramallah. The popular slogan “Al-Aqsa is in danger” has been used by extremist Islamic elements for decades, since the days of Haj Amin el-Husseini, the grand mufti of Jerusalem who was Hitler’s friend, to incite the street. This blood libel, accepted with consensus across the Muslim world, claims that Israel is plotting to collapse the Temple Mount mosques in order to build the third temple in their place.

At the basis of this narrative are certain alleged axioms taken for granted as truths, namely that the Jewish religion has no connection to the place, that a Jewish presence on the mount is detrimental to the holiness of the mosques, before even mentioning, heaven forbid, Jewish prayer there. It is interesting that according to the Quran itself (Chapter 17, verses 4-8) there most certainly were Jewish temples on the mount. Additionally, the Supreme Muslim Council (the highest body in charge of Muslim community affairs in Mandate Palestine under British control) issued a pamphlet in 1924 clearly stating: “The site is one of the oldest in the world. Its sanctity dates from the earliest (perhaps from prehistoric) times. Its identity with the site of Solomon’s Temple is beyond dispute.”

SnyderTalk Comment: The Temple Mount is the epicenter of the coming battle between Yahweh and His archenemy.  Next on the list is Jerusalem, and then comes Israel.

I mean Israel according to the borders that Yahweh presented in the Torah.  It’s bigger than the Israel that we know today.  It includes all the land between the Nile River and the Euphrates River.

Interestingly, religious Muslims know Israel’s real boundary lines, and they don’t like them.  Muslims believe that any land once occupied by Muslims belongs to them into perpetuity.  Yahweh disagrees, and His view is the only one that matters.

The battle is unavoidable.  The only thing uncertain is the date, but it’s closer now than it has ever been.  Some think it is very close—possibly within my lifetime.

If you are sitting on the fence where Yahweh is concerned, now would be a good time to decide which way you will go.  There are only two choices.  Either you are for Yahweh or you are against Him.  There is no middle ground because no decision is taking sides against Him.

Azriel Bermant: Why Russia can never substitute for America as Israel’s closest ally—Amidst all the fuss over the current crisis in relations between Israel and the United States, there has been one issue which has received little scrutiny: Israel’s burgeoning ties with Vladimir Putin’s Russia and the difficulties it has created in Washington. As relations between the Netanyahu government and the Obama administration go from bad to worse, the relationship between Jerusalem and Moscow appears to be blossoming. On returning to the Foreign Ministry in November last year, Avigdor Lieberman suggested that Israel was too reliant on the United States and needed to cultivate alliances with new powers.

Ray Takeyh: Iran’s Vested Interest in Nuclear Talks—The Islamic Republic today is an aggressive state on the march in the Middle East. Through its proxies and aid it is propping up the Bashar Assad government in Syria and enabling its genocidal war against its citizens. Iran is the most consequential external actor in Iraq and has been instrumental in pressing its Shiite Muslim allies to reject substantial inclusion of Sunni Muslims in Iraq’s governing structure. In the Persian Gulf, Tehran continues to press for eviction of the U.S. presence, appreciating that only America’s armada stands in the way of its hegemonic ambitions. Terrorism remains an instrument of Iran’s statecraft, particularly against Israel. Yet, there is a reluctance to push back on Iran in the increasingly chaotic Middle East for the fear that such a move would undermine the nuclear talks.

Bobby Ghosh: In the War Against IS, Iran Is Already Getting All the American Help It Needs—Iran is already getting all the American cooperation it needs: the U.S.-led Operation Inherent Resolve has helped to halt the IS advance in Syria and Iraq; Western governments are expending great resources to train Iraqi forces and the Syrian opposition to take the fight to the Sunni extremists; international sanctions have been directed at the terrorist organization’s finances. Meanwhile, Qassem Suleimani, commander of Iran’s Quds Force, is able to roam freely in Iraq, pulling the strings with Shia militias and elements of the Iraqi army, as well as helping Assad in Syria. Why, exactly, would Iran need more U.S. help?

Babak Dehghanpisheh: The Fighters of Iraq Who Answer to Iran—Qais al-Khazali is the head of a militia in Iraq called Asaib Ahl al-Haq. Together with the Badr Brigades and Kataib Hezbollah, these three small Iraqi Shi’ite armies, all backed by Iran, have become the most powerful military force in Iraq since the collapse of the national army in June. The militias are key to Iran’s power and influence inside neighboring Iraq. Iran’s population is overwhelmingly Shi’ite, as are the majority of Iraqis. Tehran has built up its influence in the past decade by giving political backing to the Iraqi government, and weapons and advisers to the militias and the remnants of the Iraqi military. The main body funding, arming, and training the Shi’ite militias is Iran’s Quds Force, commanded by Qassem Soleimani.

Susanne Koelbl: Iranian Nuclear Negotiator: “We Can’t Just Turn Back the Clock”—Tehran diplomat Takht Ravanchi said in an interview: “In our judgment the Americans do not want to appreciate what’s happening on the ground in Iran as far as the nuclear capabilities and capacities are concerned. We have about 20,000 centrifuges, almost half of which are producing nuclear material, the other half are only spinning. We can’t just turn back the clock….You have to keep the status quo. But we are ready to accept some limits to our activities for a specific period of time.”

Elise Labott: Obama Seeks New Syria Strategy Review to Deal with ISIS, Assad—President Barack Obama has asked his national security team for another review of U.S. policy toward Syria after realizing that ISIS may not be defeated without a political transition in Syria and the removal of President Bashar al-Assad, senior U.S. officials and diplomats said. “The long-running Syria problem is now compounded by the reality that to genuinely defeat ISIL [ISIS], we need not only a defeat in Iraq but a defeat in Syria,” one senior official said. “Developments on the ground have caused the national security team to collectively conclude we may not have time for Iraq first. In an ideal world you would drive ISIL out of Iraq and pivot to Syria. But if by then the moderate opposition has been smacked and ISIL is still there, that doesn’t help,” a senior administration official said. “It has been pretty clear for some time that supporting the moderate opposition in the hopes of toppling Assad isn’t going to work,” another senior official said.

Bryan Bender: Questions Raised about Support of Arab Allies Against ISIS—As air operations by the military coalition attacking the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria enter their fourth month, the vast majority of bombing runs are being conducted by U.S. forces, with the majority of the others performed by Western allies. According to U.S. Air Force Central Command, 86% of the 8,007 missions flown between Aug. 8and Nov. 3 were carried out by the U.S. “This mission made sense if we are supporting regional actors willing to police extremism in their own region,” said Senator Tim Kaine (D-Va.), a member of the Foreign Relations Committee who recently visited the coalition’s joint air operations in Qatar. “It makes no sense if the regional actors are not willing to stand up to it and we are being called on to do what regional actors should do.”

Hazem al-Amin: ISIS Unchecked—In Syria, ISIS and the Nusra Front have been making advances in Idlib and in the north, despite the air raids. The regime also has been advancing in Aleppo, Damascus, and the capital’s countryside. The sole party to suffer from the raids has been the non-extremist opposition factions that have been unable to move out of their points of concentration. In other words, the international coalition seems to be achieving the opposite of what it proclaimed to achieve. It came to strike at ISIS and prevent the regime from benefiting from these strikes; but what is happening is the exact opposite. It is only logical that the regular Syrian military units that were fighting against ISIS should step aside and make room for the air raids, which enables the regime to exploit these raids in order to consolidate its position in Aleppo.

Lewis Libby and Hillel Fradkin: Rebuild Gaza? Remove Its Rockets First—Recently, President Obama urged an international conference in Cairo to rebuild yet again the terrorist-led mini-state in Gaza. Gaza was damaged because the terrorist organization that runs it fired thousands of rockets at Israel. Donors are weary because they know Hamas will just do it again. Terrorists count on the international community to endlessly rebuild Gaza. Good countries bail out the perpetrators of terrorism and those who actively support them. So this time, aid must come with conditions that discourage a fourth round. The Palestinians must turn in rockets currently in Gaza, and agree to inspections of Gaza itself.

Jonathan Spyer: Mahmoud Abbas Is Playing a Dangerous Double Game—The wave of shootings, automobile attacks and stabbings that hit Jerusalem this month has had a profound effect. The faces of the innocents murdered are all over the news. Talk of a third intifada is everywhere. Yet in a number of substantive ways the current reality differs sharply from the time of the two intifadas (1987-92 and 2000-04). The West Bank has so far stayed largely quiet because the Palestinian Authority leadership appears to be playing a double game. On the one hand, PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas is engaging in incitement, spreading fear and anger about supposed Israeli plans to upset the delicate rules for Jewish worship on the Temple Mount/Al-Aqsa Mosque area. Meantime, his security forces are continuing to cooperate with the Israelis in ensuring relative quiet on the West Bank. This reflects the general lack of Palestinian enthusiasm to provoke another mass confrontation with Israel. While the attacks on Israeli civilians have been presented in some news reports as spontaneous acts of rage, all of them were by committed members of Hamas or Islamic Jihad.

4--Scripture of the Day Yahweh

Genesis 37: 25-28

Then they sat down to eat a meal. And as they raised their eyes and looked, behold, a caravan of Ishmaelites was coming from Gilead, with their camels bearing aromatic gum and balm and myrrh, on their way to bring them down to Egypt. Judah said to his brothers, “What profit is it for us to kill our brother and cover up his blood? Come and let us sell him to the Ishmaelites and not lay our hands on him, for he is our brother, our own flesh.” And his brothers listened to him. Then some Midianite traders passed by, so they pulled him up and lifted Joseph out of the pit, and sold him to the Ishmaelites for twenty shekels of silver. Thus they brought Joseph into Egypt.

14--Blessings from Revelation 2

Blessings in the Book of Revelation is a book that you need to read, especially now.  There are blessings throughout the Scriptures but Revelation is the only book in the Bible actually containing a specific blessing for reading it. It’s repeated twice, once at the beginning and again at the end. This is the reason that I believe Revelation should be the first step toward studying biblical prophecy. Though not easy to do, Revelation can be broken down and understood by anyone, not just the academic elite. So, Revelation’s blessings are for everyone.  Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.
