Steven Emerson—The President’s True Colors Finally Revealed:

When I first glanced at the headline on today’s Jerusalem Online and reports in the Jerusalem Post and other Israeli newspapers, I thought they must have been a satire: “Washington officials have told Egypt that the US will guarantee Israel’s commitment to any agreement signed.” But it was not a satire. This was deadly serious, confirmed by other Israeli newspapers and sources in Cairo.

The US offering to Hamas to “guarantee” Israeli commitments to any agreement signed? As if anyone needed proof of the Obama administration’s antipathy to Israel, here it was in black and white. If any party needed a commitment to enforce its agreements in any deal, it would have been Hamas, which has been known to break every commitment it ever made. To pick just a few at random:

  • Hamas recently violated 9 cease fire agreements, including two of its own.
  • Hamas illegally siphoned thousands of tons of cement and steel shipments it received from international donors and Israel that it had committed to use to build the civilian infrastructure in Gaza for hospitals, schools and apartment buildings; instead it spent upwards of $500 million of these humanitarian shipments to covertly build numerous tunnels buried deep underground into Israel in order to carry out murderous raids on Israeli civilian communities intended to kill tens of thousands of Israelis.
  • Hamas violated the terms of the 2012 ceasefire negotiated by then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton together with Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood President Mohammed Morsi. Under the terms of that agreement, Hamas committed to stop firing missiles into Israel from Gaza. But in fact, Hamas never honored its commitment and continued to fire hundreds of missiles from Gaza into southern Israel during the entire year of 2013 and the first half of 2014. But then in July, Hamas initiated a full scale war against Israel in which it launched 4,000 missiles into 80 percent of Israel’s population centers.
  • Hamas violated the commitment to the Palestinian Authority that it would never launch a coup d’état against the PA after Israel withdrew from Gaza in 2005. But in 2007, Hamas did exactly that in a bloody takeover of Gaza, kicking out and killing PA officials.
  • Hamas violated a solemn commitment to its own civilians that it would uphold the rule of law (yea, right) when it took over Gaza only to subsequently execute hundreds of dissident Gazans, torture and imprison thousands of political opponents, violently persecute the minority of Christians still living in Gaza and imprison and prosecute suspected gay Gazans.
  • It violated a commitment it made in the Clinton-negotiated 2012 truce that it would cease its missile attacks on Israel.

SnyderTalk Comment: I wonder if people who claim to be believers will ever wake up and understand that political party affiliation can never be allowed to trump support for Yahweh and His promises.  When a political party is hell bent on perversion and sabotage of Israel, it can’t represent true believers.  I think that by choosing to side with those who are openly against Yahweh, they are revealing who they really are.

This isn’t a new problem.  Many Nazis claimed to be Christians.  Knowing what we know about Nazis, it’s easy for us to say that they couldn’t have been Nazis and Christians at the same time.  It’s just as true today.  You can’t take sides with those who hate Yahweh and claim to love Him.  It just doesn’t wash.  Stated another way, it doesn’t pass the smell test.

President Obama and his party are clearly on a path leading away from Yahweh.  When delegates at the 2012 Democratic National Convention booed God, they sent a loud and clear message.  It’s so obvious that it’s impossible to deny unless you refuse to see.  The New York Post got it right and the headline in Israel Hayom tells the tale: “NY Post slams Obama’s ‘unforgivable’ Israel policy”.  (http://www.israelhayom.com/site/newsletter_article.php?id=19533) Unforgivable is a strong word, but I think it’s accurate.

SnyderTalk Comment: If you believe that California and especially Los Angeles are bastions of openness and freedom, you are mistaken.  Christians are openly ridiculed in LA.  They are routinely mocked and presented in Hollywood movies as being just one step out of the jungle.  I’ve noticed how often bad guys (male and female) in movies wear crosses and other indications of Christianity.  Those icons didn’t show up on screen by accident.

Entertainment moguls in LA are trying to send a message, and it’s not positive from a Christian point of view.  I’ll go one step further, it’s not positive from Yahweh’s point of view.  Many Hollywood types are heading straight for hell.  They don’t know it because it’s not consistent with their world view, but it’s true nonetheless.  Unless they repent, that means to turn and go in the other direction, they will end up there, and it won’t matter how much money they have.

This is the bottom line: people of Judeo-Christian faith are under attack in California, and they have been under attack for a very long time.  I’m not imagining it.  It’s real and it’s dangerous, because Hollywood hotshots are effective propaganda meisters.  Actor Kevin Sorbo is openly talking about it.  Good for him.  I wish more Christian actors would speak up.

Dave Bender: Islamic State Fighter: Hezbollah and the Jews Are Next—“From Syria, we’ll expand the caliphate, Allah willing, and Hizbullah and the Jews will meet their fate, and soon,” vowed an American-born 26-year-old Islamic State (IS) fighter in Aleppo, Syria to a disguised Israeli reporter, Israel’s Globes reported Monday. Posing as “Abed al-Islam Afifi,” 26, from Paris, the reporter contacted Abu Turab via a cellphone app. “Of course, it’s great to be here [in Syria],” Abu Turab said. “Jihad in our generation is a personal duty. While I can’t directly recommend it to you, Allah, praised be His name, told all Muslims to follow in his path.” When the reporter asked for more information on how to join IS and the group’s goals, he was told, “First, go to Turkey, and there, I’ll give you a number of someone to call, and they’ll do the rest. It’s that simple,” he was told.

SnyderTalk Comment: Why go to Turkey first?  Turkey under Erdogan is not a U.S. ally.  Prime Minister Erdogan may be President Obama’s friend and ally, but he is not a friend and ally of the American people.  If you suspect that I’m suspicious of Obama’s motives and aims, you are correct.  If you think that I believe Erdogan is an evil man, again you are correct.

Liel Leibovitz: Eight Questions About the Yazidis— How many Yazidis are there? If you’re talking about a genocide, you must first quantify the genus. The U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor reported in 2012, based on the estimations of community leaders, that anywhere between 500,000 and 700,000 Yazidis reside in northern Iraq. The latest available Iraqi census mentioning the Yazidis dates back to 1965; it identifies the Yazidis as being 1 percent of the population, or 70,000. If that percentage held solid, there would be about 300,000 Yazidis living in Iraq today. In 2011, the International Organization for Migration estimated that about 230,000 Yazidis lived in the Sinjar district, home to the majority of the Yazidi population. Every time you try to count the Yazidis, their number seems to dwindle. This is true everywhere, but particularly on Mount Sinjar, where 30,000 Yazidis are stranded, surrounded by the murderous jihadis of the Islamic State, counting on Western aid and American air strikes if they are to survive.

David Schenker: Best Friends Don’t Have to Ask—Israel has one of two American ammunition depots pre-positioned abroad – the other is in South Korea – that allies can access on any emergency basis and later replace. Last month, during the height of military operations in Gaza, Israel withdrew tank and illumination rounds for grenade launchers and other materiel as part of a foreign military sale. The last time Israel accessed this cache was in 2006, during its 34-day war with Lebanese Hizbullah. At the most basic level, the depot was intended to prevent a repeat of the 1973 war, when the Nixon administration famously delayed a resupply airlift to Israel. According to both Israeli and American defense officials, this latest withdrawal from the depot was a matter of sourcing rather than an emergency requirement. Apparently, much of the equipment had impending expiration dates – “almost obsolete,” one former senior Israeli defense official told me – making it a convenient and very inexpensive purchase for Israel to be used for training rather than operational purposes. Of course, Israel did not need the ammunition to defeat Hamas.

Moshe Phillips and Benyamin Korn: How Hillary Clinton Enabled Hamas’ Construction of Terror Tunnels— Much has been said and written about the terror tunnels that Hamas built in Gaza. But too little has been said about who it was that put the cement into Hamas’ hands, thus making the construction of the tunnels possible in the first place. Until now. In a bombshell revelation, Dennis Ross, the senior Mideast policy adviser to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton from 2009 to 2011, has admitted that it was he who was assigned the task of pressuring Israel to ease up on its military blockade of Gaza. “I argued with Israeli leaders and security officials, telling them they needed to allow more construction materials, including cement, into Gaza so that housing, schools and basic infrastructure could be built,” Ross revealed in the Washington Post on August 10. “They countered that Hamas would misuse it, and they were right.”

Khaled Abu Toameh: Why Jordan Doesn’t Want More Palestinians— It is no secret that many Arab countries despise Palestinians and subject them to apartheid laws and strict security measures that deny them most basic rights. The mistreatment of Palestinians at the hands of their Arab brothers is an issue that is rarely mentioned in the mainstream media in the West. Most journalists prefer to look the other way when a story lacks an anti-Israel perspective. A story is big only when it is Israel that arrests, kills, or deports. When Arab countries such as Jordan, Syria and Lebanon move against Palestinians, however, foreign journalists choose to bury their heads in the sand. Such has been the case with Jordan and its mistreatment of the kingdom’s Palestinian majority.

SnyderTalk Comment: As Alice of Wonderland fame said, things are getting “curiouser and curiouser”.  Israel is victimized by Western mainstream media elites for defending its citizens while Arab nations get away with murder literally and figuratively.  I have never seen the world this screwed up.  The mass delusion that we are witnessing is part of a spiritual war that is intensifying at warp speed.  If you are a believer, that should tell you something.

Andre Walker: Muhammed is Britain’s most popular boy’s name— As exclusively reported by Breitbart London last week, Muhammed has been crowned Britain’s most popular boys name in figures published by the Office of National Statistics (ONS) today. The name of the Muslim prophet beat Oliver as the most popular boys name chosen by parents in Britain in 2013. As a result of the way the statistics are put together, the name does not appear to have won, as the ONS classifies each of the different spellings as a different entry on the list. This means that “Muhammad” came in 15th with 3,499 children but “Mohammed” was 23rd with 2,887 and “Mohammad” was 57th with 1059 given the name. As a result the top three spellings alone accounted for the names of 7,445 boys, easily beating the second most popular name Oliver which got just 6,949. Also the statistics are only published for the top 100 names, so the even more obscure spellings of Mohammed are likely to push the total even higher.

Philip Mendes: Jews and the Left: An alliance breaks up—Most political leftists around the world do not count themselves as allies of the Jews ‎these days. They do not view Jews as a vulnerable or oppressed people, do not prioritize ‎any struggle against anti-Semitism, and vigorously censor Zionism and Israel. Many left-‎wing groups were among the strongest critics of Israel’s recent incursion into Gaza, and ‎more generally provide unqualified support to the extremist boycott, divestment and sanctions movement. In parallel, ‎Jews do not rely on or expect the Left to defend them or promote their interests.‎

SnyderTalk Comment: The title would lead you to believe that Jewish people and leftist groups have broken up.  I’ll believe it when I see it.  There is movement in the right direction especially in Israel thanks to Hamas and leftist groups jumping aboard the Hamas bandwagon, but that’s not a breakup.  Until I see a lot more solid evidence, I’ll believe that it’s just a family squabble.

Lt. Col. (ret.) Michael Segall: Iran and the ISIS Challenge—Sunni jihadists (ISIS) now constitute a real threat to Iran’s strategic assets in Syria and Lebanon and especially to its aspiration to restore Shiite supremacy. Nouri al-Maliki, the former Shiite prime minister of Iraq who has close ties with Iran, has now paid the price for his neglect and abuse of the Sunnis. One of the main dangers stemming from ISIS’ expansion is the spread of global terror beyond the borders of Iraq and Syria. The U.S. has lost almost all its traditional allies in the region. One open question is whether it will also give up the Iranian nuclear card for a (hollow) promise from Tehran to help stabilize Iraq.

Martin Bosma: Krugerplein, Again— Krugerplein, or Kruger Square, in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, is now the theatre of a series of incidents, starting with a woman who hung an Israeli flag outside her window. Muslims answered by displaying “Palestinian” flags. The woman who hung the Israeli flag, Leah Rabinovitch, is originally from Mexico, and therefore probably may not have been aware of Islamic intolerance towards all things Jewish. Her neighborhood, however, is “non-western immigrants,” meaning mostly Muslims. She received death threats, had stones thrown through her windows, and had a Molotov-cocktail thrown at her home. The corporate owner of her apartment ordered her to remove the flag. Israel’s flag after all, is considered a “provocation.” Checking at Krugerplein, last week, I counted seven “Palestinian” flags – flags which are never considered a provocation, of course. The good news is that Israel’s flag is back, again enjoying the Dutch sunlight.

Karen Lehrman Bloch: Losing Facebook Friends Over the War in Gaza— I never intended to use Facebook to post about politics, let alone about religion and politics. I reluctantly joined about a year-and-a-half ago to have some social media presence, and Facebook seemed the least objectionable option. Much to my surprise and delight, I quickly built up a community of artists, designers, and architects from all over the world who shared my interest in deeply beautiful art and design. It was a great joy every day to post the most glorious images I could find, to create a virtual gallery of magnificent work from every culture and time period—a democracy of beauty. When the war broke out in Gaza, my immediate reaction was to stay on the sidelines—to support Israel in my heart and in my prayers, to remain a private Jew, as I have all my life. But there are no sidelines with social media, and this didn’t turn out to be just another Israeli-Palestinian conflict. My newsfeed, typically a medley of beautiful images interlaced with inspirational quotes, was soon dotted with vile, venom-filled remarks about Israel, Israelis, and Jews in general. Comments that went far beyond pure humanitarian issues about civilians—especially children—being maimed and killed, or comments about the horrors of war, which I would have agreed with.

Gaza: A Broader Offensive

Hamas: Israel is escalating the situation to influence Cairo truce talks

SnyderTalk Comment: Hamas leaders lie about everything, and I mean everything.  Those rockets that they keep launching at Israel will bring about exactly what Netanyahu said, I hope.  He was giving them a warning which they ignored, as usual.  This time it might not work out for Hamas the way they want, because to all but the foolish and totally demented, Hamas leaders are beginning to look like who they really are—murderers, thugs, terrorists, and scoundrels.  They have no interest in peace.

Netanyahu pulls envoys out of Cairo after rocket fire resumes

SnyderTalk Comment: Good for Netanyahu.  I think he’s had all that he’s going to take from the criminals and terrorists in Gaza.  I hope so, and I hope that Obama supports Israel in word and deed.  Our president is infamous for soothing words that have no meaning.  He’s like a clanging bell or a ringing cymbal, sounds without a melody.

4--Scripture of the Day Yahweh

Genesis 26: 1-5

1 Now there was a famine in the land, besides the previous famine that had occurred in the days of Abraham. So Isaac went to Gerar, to Abimelech king of the Philistines. 2 Yahweh appeared to him and said, “Do not go down to Egypt; stay in the land of which I shall tell you. 3 Sojourn in this land and I will be with you and bless you, for to you and to your descendants I will give all these lands, and I will establish the oath which I swore to your father Abraham. 4 I will multiply your descendants as the stars of heaven, and will give your descendants all these lands; and by your descendants all the nations of the earth shall be blessed; 5 because Abraham obeyed Me and kept My charge, My commandments, My statutes and My laws.”

SnyderTalk Comment: So, to whom does the Promised Land belong?  According to Yahweh, it belongs to Israel.  Do you believe Him?  How much do you believe Him?  Put your faith to work.  Read His Name is Yahweh.

  • God also said to Moses, “Say to the Israelites, ‘Yahweh, the God of your fathers—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob—has sent me to you.’ This [Yahweh] is my name forever, the name by which I am to be remembered from generation to generation.” (Exodus 3: 15)
  • “Therefore behold, I am going to make them know—this time I will make them know My power and My might; and they shall know that My name is Yahweh.” (Jeremiah 16: 21)
  • “Behold, the days are coming,” declares Yahweh, “when I will raise up for David a righteous Branch; and He will reign as king and act wisely and do justice and righteousness in the land.  In His days Judah will be saved, and Israel will dwell securely; and this is His name by which He will be called, ‘Yahweh our righteousness.’” (Jeremiah 23: 5-6)
  • Yeshua said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am.” (John 8: 58)

14--Blessings from Revelation 2

Blessings in the Book of Revelation is a book that you need to read, especially now.  There are blessings throughout the Scriptures but Revelation is the only book in the Bible actually containing a specific blessing for reading it. It’s repeated twice, once at the beginning and again at the end. This is the reason that I believe Revelation should be the first step toward studying biblical prophecy. Though not easy to do, Revelation can be broken down and understood by anyone, not just the academic elite. So, Revelation’s blessings are for everyone.  Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.
