Pretending that “Palestinians” want Peace Can Cost Innocent Israelis their Lives

Hamas leaders have said that they won’t quit fighting until Israel lifts the blockade that has been so effective in preventing Islamist gangsters and terrorists from importing weapons into Gaza by sea.  Operation Protective Edge has delivered a heavy blow to Hamas, but the job isn’t finished.  Even though their terror tunnel network has been severely damaged, thus reducing Hamas’ ability to import weapons and to attack Israel by land, Israeli people at both ends of the political spectrum are beginning to realize that the tunnel network must be completely destroyed and that the sea blockade must remain in place.

Trusting the U.N. or other countries (Jordan and Turkey, in particular, but the U.S. as well) to protect Israel’s borders is foolish.  U.N. schools in Gaza have become safe havens where Hamas stores weapons and ammo and from which they fire at Israel.  In the midst of the mayhem surrounding Operation Protective Edge, Turkey let it be known that another flotilla is being planned to break the sea blockade; like a chirping canary, Jordan’s King Abdullah chimed in with a pronouncement that Israel was guilty of what amounts to war crimes against Hamas despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary; and the U.S. tried to impose a cease-fire that would have amounted to victory for Hamas.  These undeniable facts should lay to rest once and for all any notion that the Israeli people can depend on others to do for them things that only they can do for themselves.

Although the elimination of Hamas is a laudable objective, it’s not realistic.  Besides, wiping out Hamas wouldn’t solve Israel’s problem.  Another Islamist terrorist group would pop up to take its place, and “Palestinians” would dance in the streets as a show of support for their latest perverted master while “death to Jews”, “death to Israel”, and “death to America” echoed through the polluted Gaza air.  On cue, Gazans would chant the name of their god telling the world how great he is.  I’m not speculating.  We’ve seen it all before, far too many times.

“Palestinians” won’t be satisfied until Israel ceases to exist.  Annihilating Israel is their passion, their reason for being, and I’m talking about “Palestinians” of the Hamas and Fatah variety in Gaza and the West Bank.  Since Israel isn’t going away, “Palestinians” will never be satisfied, and fighting will continue in one form or another until Yahweh returns.

Israel can’t and shouldn’t let her guard down until that happens.  At that point, Yahweh (i.e., the Messiah) will take control and Israel can rest secure.  Until He returns, pretending that “Palestinians” want peace is insane.  That misguided belief/hope can cost innocent Israelis their lives.

This is one way Hamas makes sure that “Palestinian” children remain in harm’s way during Israeli strikes against Islamist fighters and their weapons and ammo stockpiles.  Children like these are called “human shields” and that’s what they are, but they aren’t volunteers as the picture shows.

Robert Spencer: 6 Ugly Signs of Resurgent Worldwide Antisemitism— Hamas’s Al-Aqsa TV channel in late July broadcast a Friday sermon in which an imam issued a chilling threat to Jews: “We will not leave a single one of you alive. Our doctrine in fighting you is that we will totally exterminate you. We will not leave a single one of you alive.” Such savagery may be expected from Hamas, but a similarly virulent antisemitism is becoming increasingly common all over the world. 6. Sweden: Muslim politician denounces “Jewish pigs”. Last week, the Swedish Social Democrat Omar Omeirat, a Muslim and a candidate for town council in Filipstad, wrote on his Facebook page: The entire Muslim world is sitting and watching while our brothers and sisters in Palestine are slaughtered by the Jewish pigs.

Dovid Efune: The Obama Admin. Has Permanently Destroyed its Standing Among Israelis— Sitting with Knesset Member Dov Lipman earlier this week, I could not resist asking, tongue-in-cheek, who was less popular in Israel nowadays – Hamas chief Ismael Haniyeh or U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry. “Kerry is certainly not popular on the Israeli street right now,” he answered, as only a politician could. Joking aside, in my estimation, a poll to find out who is hated more would actually put them quite close.

Yoram Ettinger: U.S. Deterrence and Islamic Terrorism— According to the July 30, 2014 Rasmussen Reports, 59 percent of likely U.S. voters ‎believe that there is a global conflict between the Muslim world and ‎Western civilization, only 17 percent disagree and 24 percent are undecided. Likely ‎voters also believe that the Arab Spring does not bode well for the U.S.‎ The U.S. posture of deterrence played a key role in bolstering Western ‎civilization in face of intensifying threats, checking global violence and ‎instability, bolstering the confidence of U.S. allies, and constraining the ‎maneuverability of rogue regimes.‎

Mordechai Ben-Menachem: Hamas Tunnels Used To Target Israel’s Kindergartens—Multiple media outlets report that Hamas’s offensive tunnel network – now known to have been composed of over forty attack tunnels dug underneath Israel’s border with the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip – was set to be activated during the Jewish High Holidays (September 24th) as a mass terror attack. The attack was meant to generate as many as ten thousand casualties, men, women and particularly children and hundreds of captives.  Explosives were particularly placed underneath kindergartens to make certain that these “institutions” would be the first struck, even before any thing else. The IDF recently published the below map showing that tunnels were created in pairs, to empty out on both sides of nearby communities.  The known cost of the infrastructure – each tunnel costs upward of some $1 million – clearly shows that Hamas was planning a coordinated mega-attack.  It must be understood that use of even one tunnel would inevitably trigger Israeli retaliation against the entire network.

Albert Wachtel: There is No Israeli Genocide— Inadvertently, the Obama Administration has acknowledged that Israel’s conduct in the war against Hamas and other terrorists in Gaza is right. But the road to that recognition has been painful. Instinctively, human sympathy runs on a small scale. We react to what is in front of us: one person, with one face and two eyes at a time, even in the midst of crowds. People naturally see that way, and there is a level at which Judaism supports that view. In the Mishna, the recorded oral law with which the Talmud begins, the saving of one life is considered the saving of a world, more important than the commandments of the Bible – and the loss of one life is the loss of a world. Protecting many lives, obviously, is saving many worlds.

Jay Newton-Small: Kurds Welcome US Help in Iraq, But Remember History of Betrayal—For a few hours, the city of Erbil was in a state of panic. Word came that Gwar, just 30 minutes from the Kurdish capital, had been taken by the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), and Kurds and ex-pats alike were packing up, trying to book airline tickets or, in a worse case scenario, preparing to drive to Turkey. But then American war planes swooped in and began bombing and President Obama pledged to defend Erbil.

Sara Yoheved Rigler: An Open Letter to Wolf Blitzer Re: Blood Libels— Dear Wolf, My Fellow Jew, You looked distraught in your recent CNN interview with Hamas spokesman Osama Hamdan. You had been “very disturbed” by a video from Al-Quds TV in which Hamdan, in Arabic (translation verified by CNN), stated: “We all remember how the Jews used to slaughter Christians in order to mix their blood with their holy matzot. This is not a figment of the imagination or something taken from a film; it is a fact acknowledged by their own books and historical evidence.” Incredulous that your interviewee would promulgate such medieval slander, you respectfully asked, “You believe that Jews would kill Christians to mix their blood to bake the holy matzot on Passover? Is that your belief, Mr. Hamdan?”

Rabbi Benjamin Blech: Hollywood and Hamas— Hollywood has gone gung ho for Hamas and the Palestinians. Academy award winner Javier Bardem and his popular actress wife Penelope Cruz who cosigned a letter with over 100 other celebrities condemning Israel for committing acts of genocide (!?) are but a small segment of the movie industry’s elite proudly proclaiming their identification with the Palestinian cause. It is a self-understood given in the Hollywood community that Israel is the villain in today’s world. Those who openly support it find themselves ostracized and, unless they are super A-listed stars, unemployed.

Khaled Abu Toameh: The Real “Siege” of the Gaza Strip— Recent calls for lifting the “siege” on the Gaza Strip have ignored that Hamas’s main demand, even more than for an airport or seaport, is that Egypt reopen the Rafah border crossing, the Palestinians’ only gateway to the Arab world.Hamas wants open borders because it wants to pursue its ultimate goal of “liberating all Palestine, from the river to the sea.” Now that it has lost most of its smuggling tunnels as a result of Egyptian military operations, Hamas is searching for other ways to bring weapons into the Gaza Strip. Hamas’s leaders know that their chances of getting an airport or a seaport are extremely low. In the past, material brought into Gaza has included mainly weapons, cement taken to build attack-tunnels into Israel, and dual-use material. Much of this was either brought into Gaza through smuggling tunnels, or else through Egypt’s Rafah terminal, along its Gaza border which is nearly nine miles [14 km] long.

Aharon Lapidot: Anti-Semitic genie out of the bottle— The world’s reaction to the situation in Gaza has been disproportionate, bordering on absolute hysteria. True, the images from Gaza have been difficult to view. Any normal person feels pain at the sight of dead children. Unfortunately, we are inundated with images like these all the time, from all over the world — Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, Rwanda, Sudan and Kosovo, for example. But responses to images coming from those places come nowhere close to the violent, hate-filled response, mainly in Europe, to the images coming from Gaza. There is not enough space to cover it all. Tens of thousands of people have taken part in demonstrations in Paris, London, Berlin, Brussels and Rome — and also even in Boston and New York. Protesters have carried signs with slogans we have not seen in years, such as “Hitler was right” and “Hamas, Hamas, Jews to the gas.”

4--Scripture of the Day Yahweh

Genesis 24: 60-61

60 They blessed Rebekah and said to her, “May you, our sister, become thousands of ten thousands, and may your descendants possess the gate of those who hate them.” 61 Then Rebekah arose with her maids, and they mounted the camels and followed the man. So the servant took Rebekah and departed.

SnyderTalk Comment: Do you see it?  The blessing that Rebekah’s family prayed over her that day is exactly what is happening right now.  Abraham’s descendants through Isaac and Jacob/Israel are hated by Arab Muslim usurpers yet his descendants possess the land that they claim as their own even though Yahweh never gave it to them.  Read His Name is Yahweh.

14--Blessings from Revelation 2

Blessings in the Book of Revelation is a book that you need to read, especially now.  There are blessings throughout the Scriptures but Revelation is the only book in the Bible actually containing a specific blessing for reading it. It’s repeated twice, once at the beginning and again at the end. This is the reason that I believe Revelation should be the first step toward studying biblical prophecy. Though not easy to do, Revelation can be broken down and understood by anyone, not just the academic elite. So, Revelation’s blessings are for everyone.  Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.
