The Waters beneath the Earth are Real and So will be the Earth’s Destruction by Fire

People who don’t read the Bible, who don’t believe in Yahweh, and who bristle every time they hear someone make a reference to Yahweh or His word will have a hard time explaining this tidbit of “new” information.  Scientists have “discovered” that there is an ocean of water underneath Earth’s crust:

Researchers have found a rare diamond which hints the possibility that beneath the planet’s crust there is an ocean’s worth of water. The rare diamond is believed to have survived a trip from deep within the Earth’s interior.

The diamond that is battered-looking was found from Brazil and contained a water-rich inclusion of the olivine mineral ringwoodite. The presence of such evidences clearly hints that there is a very large amount of water held in the transition zone of the Earth’s mantle.

Researchers believed that the samples that are found from the transition zone are considered to be “exceedingly rare.”

“That may not sound like much,” Graham Pearson, a mantle geochemist at the University of Alberta in Edmonton said, according to Independent, “but when you realize how much ringwoodite there is, the transition zone could hold as much water as all the Earth’s oceans put together.”

“It’s actually the confirmation that there is a very, very large amount of water that’s trapped in a really distinct layer in the deep Earth,” Mr Pearson added.

The fact that there is an ocean of water beneath our feet should come as no surprise to Yahweh’s people, especially to those who take the time to read the Bible.  Let’s take a look at what it has to say about the Great Flood—the one that Noah, his family, and every species of animals on Earth survived thanks to Yahweh:

And Noah did all that Yahweh commanded him. Noah was six hundred years old when the floodwaters came on the earth. And Noah and his sons and his wife and his sons’ wives entered the ark to escape the waters of the flood. Pairs of clean and unclean animals, of birds and of all creatures that move along the ground, male and female, came to Noah and entered the ark, as God had commanded Noah. And after the seven days the floodwaters came on the earth. In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, on the seventeenth day of the second month—on that day all the springs of the great deep burst forth, and the floodgates of the heavens were opened. And rain fell on the earth forty days and forty nights.  (Genesis 7: 5-12)

But God remembered Noah and all the wild animals and the livestock that were with him in the ark, and he sent a wind over the earth, and the waters receded. Now the springs of the deep and the floodgates of the heavens had been closed, and the rain had stopped falling from the sky. The water receded steadily from the earth. At the end of the hundred and fifty days the water had gone down, and on the seventeenth day of the seventh month the ark came to rest on the mountains of Ararat. The waters continued to recede until the tenth month, and on the first day of the tenth month the tops of the mountains became visible.  (Genesis 8: 1-5)

As you can see, the Bible does not say that the Great Flood was caused by rain alone.  It was caused by a combination of rain and “springs of the great deep” bursting forth when the rains began.  In other words, Earth was inundated with water from above and from below, so the recent “discovery” is millennia late in coming.

The Book of Proverbs also makes reference to the “springs of the great deep”:

“Yahweh possessed me [wisdom] at the beginning of His way, before His works of old. From everlasting I was established, from the beginning, from the earliest times of the earth. When there were no depths [oceans] I was brought forth, when there were no springs abounding with water. Before the mountains were settled, before the hills I was brought forth; while He had not yet made the earth and the fields, nor the first dust of the world. When He established the heavens, I was there, when He inscribed a circle on the face of the deep, when He made firm the skies above, when the springs of the deep [water beneath Earth’s crust] became fixed, when He set for the sea its boundary so that the water would not transgress His command, when He marked out the foundations of the earth; then I was beside Him, as a master workman; and I was daily His delight, rejoicing always before Him, rejoicing in the world, His earth, and having my delight in the sons of men.” (Proverbs 8: 22-31)

Yahweh made everything that exists and Wisdom was at His side each step of the way.  Wouldn’t it be wonderful if people would take the time to learn from Yahweh and to accept His Wisdom?  It would save a lot of time, money, and heartache, and it would result in the salvation of many lost souls.

The good news is that Yahweh promised that He would never again destroy all life on Earth with a flood, and He gave us the rainbow to seal His promise:

“I establish my covenant with you: never again will all life be destroyed by the waters of a flood; never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth.” And God said, “This is the sign of the covenant I am making between Me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come: I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between Me and the earth. Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will remember My covenant between Me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life. Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth.” So God said to Noah, “This is the sign of the covenant I have established between Me and all life on the earth.”  (Genesis 9: 11-16)

The bad news is that Yahweh plans to destroy life on Earth again, but the next time it will be with fire:

Know this first of all, that in the last days mockers will come with their mocking, following after their own lusts, and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all continues just as it was from the beginning of creation.” For when they maintain this, it escapes their notice that by the word of God the heavens existed long ago and the earth was formed out of water and by water, through which the world at that time was destroyed, being flooded with water. But by His word the present heavens and earth are being reserved for fire, kept for the Day of Judgment and destruction of ungodly men.  (2 Peter 3: 3-7)

Peter wasn’t guessing.  Isaiah said the same thing:

For behold, Yahweh will come in fire and His chariots like the whirlwind, to render His anger with fury, and His rebuke with flames of fire. For Yahweh will execute judgment by fire and by His sword on all flesh, and those slain by Yahweh will be many.  (Isaiah 66: 15-16)

Zechariah talked about it, too.  He even went so far as to tell us when Yahweh plans to do it:

Now this will be the plague with which Yahweh will strike all the peoples who have gone to war against Jerusalem; their flesh will rot while they stand on their feet, and their eyes will rot in their sockets, and their tongue will rot in their mouth. It will come about in that day that a great panic from Yahweh will fall on them; and they will seize one another’s hand, and the hand of one will be lifted against the hand of another. Judah also will fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the surrounding nations will be gathered, gold and silver and garments in great abundance. So also like this plague will be the plague on the horse, the mule, the camel, the donkey and all the cattle that will be in those camps.  (Zechariah 14: 12-15)

The Messiah said that He won’t return until the Jewish people in Jerusalem (specifically the religious and political leaders in Jerusalem, I think) recognize Him for who He is and call Him by His real Name:

“Jerusalem, Jerusalem, who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, the way a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were unwilling. Behold, your house is being left to you desolate! For I say to you, from now on you will not see Me until you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the Name of Yahweh!’”  (Matthew 23: 37-39)

If you think that Jerusalem is not important to Yahweh, you are wrong.  Thankfully, He will protect His children, believers, when He pours out His wrath on an unbelieving world as they come against His city.

If you are a scoffer who mocks believers because of their faith, for your own good, you need to reconsider.  The fire that Yahweh will rain down on Earth will be hotter than anything that you have ever seen or imagined.  As Zechariah described it, people who don’t have Yahweh’s protection will literally melt in place.  That’s worse than death, but their ultimate fate will be to experience separation from Yahweh and intense heat for all eternity.  That’s a frightening thought because eternity is a very long time.

Rabbi Adam Jacobs: Prophet— In our Twitter world, prophecy is not a topic that gets much traction these days. Yet with the upcoming release of Darren Aronofsky’s motion picture Noah, prophecy has become headline news. The highest authority of Sunni Islam, Cairo’s Al-Azhar, has issued a fatwa (religious injunction) against the film, which has been banned in Qatar, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates for “depicting the messengers and prophets of God.” What is prophecy and how many biblical-era prophets were there after all?

Christa Case Bryant: Israel’s ‘Jewish state’ hangup: Why Netanyahu and Abbas can’t agree—What is Israel’s demand? Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has called on Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas to recognize Israel as “the nation state for the Jewish people.” While in Washington this month, Mr. Netanyahu elaborated: “Just as Israel is prepared to recognize a Palestinian state, the Palestinians must be prepared to recognize a Jewish state. President Abbas, recognize the Jewish state and in doing so you will be telling your people the Palestinians that while we might have a territorial dispute, the right of the Jewish people to a state of their own is beyond dispute. You would be telling Palestinians to abandon the dream of flooding Israel with refugees … [and] making clear that you are truly prepared to end the conflict.”

Aaron David Miller: Israel, Abbas face 5 realities on peace—Mahmoud Abbas, the Palestinian President who will sit with U.S. President Barack Obama on Monday to discuss the state—and the fate–of Secretary of State John Kerry’s peace process is a good man and most likely the best partner for peace negotiations that Washington, this Israeli government or any other is likely to have. He’s rational, enlightened and a leader who eschews both violence and the dream that somehow, sometime, the armed struggle, or demography will deliver Palestinians their state. But there’s only one pesky problem: Under current circumstances, he cannot deliver his side of a comprehensive peace agreement with Israel. Here’s why.

Carmit Valensi and Gabi Siboni: Rockets in the South Yet Once More: Israel’s Gaza Dilemma— Whether the rocket barrage fired by Islamic Jihad from the Gaza Strip on March 12, 2014 was coordinated with Hamas and received its approval, or it was an attempt by Islamic Jihad to embarrass Hamas and position itself as the leader of the resistance, Israel holds Hamas responsible for shattering the peace. Israel assumes that for Islamic Jihad to have fired such a large number of rockets there would have had to be some type of coordination with Hamas. The Egyptian attempt to formulate a ceasefire with Islamic Jihad could signal a turning point because for the first time, the organization would be the main actor in such an arrangement. It reflects the weakening of Hamas’s image as the sovereign in the Gaza Strip, and the dramatic deterioration in relations between Egypt and Hamas since the fall of the Muslim Brotherhood regime. The decision to interact directly with Islamic Jihad may subsequently enhance the organization’s image in Egypt and perhaps boost it as well among the Gaza population, at the expense of Hamas.

Jonathan Tobin: Gaza Missiles: Palestinian State in Practice— In recent months, there’s been a lot of debate about the best answer to the Middle East conflict. The consensus here in the United States is that the answer is a two-state solution that envisages the creation of a Palestinian Arab state alongside the nation state of the Jewish people, i.e. the State of Israel. There are good arguments to be made that such an arrangement would be the ideal conclusion to the century-long war that Arabs have waged to extinguish Zionism. Indeed, should the political culture of the Palestinians ever change to the point where their leaders could count on strong support for a deal that would recognize the legitimacy of a Jewish state no matter where its borders were drawn, there would be no resisting such an outcome. For now such a scenario remains more a matter of science fiction than political reality.

Ruth King: My Say: Enabling the Caliphate in Palestine—President Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry are now pushing a new line in their obsessive and messianic efforts to process peace between Israel and the Moslem/Arabs.  The new line is that Israel should accept the “peace partner’s” refusal to recognize Israel as a Jewish state. Does anyone smell a rat? Follow the dots that have been so clearly laid out by Bat Ye’or, by the late Saul Friedman, by Professor Moshe Sharon, by Dr. Andrew Bostom  by Robert Spencer, by journalist author Victor Sharpe, by MEMRI and by Palestinian Media Watch.

Jonathan Spyer: Shifting Mideast Sands Reveal New Alliances— A number of events in recent weeks cast light on the current intersecting lines of conflict in the Middle East. They reflect a region in flux, in which new bonds are being formed, and old ones torn asunder. But amid the confusion, a new topography is emerging. This was the month in which a long-existent split in the Sunni Arab world turned into a gaping fissure. On March 5th, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates announced that they were withdrawing their ambassadors from the Emirate of Qatar.

Jeff Wise: Why I Think It’s Very Possible That the Missing Airliner Is in Central Asia—I’ve been covering the story of missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 for four days now, and it’s settled into a rhythm. Every day, new evidence points to a conclusion that beforehand would have seemed laughably absurd. We publish an analysis of the situation that seems most likely to us. Readers scoff. Further evidence emerges that reinforces the once-crazy notion, and some proportion of the doubters come around. Then even more implausible information turns up, and it’s off the to the fringes again. My post from this morning, in which I asserted that the plane is most likely in western China or an adjacent Turkic area, stands out for having received an extra measure of skepticism. “Impossible,” many have declared, in comments and over Twitter. So I’d like to go back and further explain my logic in coming to the conclusion I did.

Soeren Kern: Spain: Kebab Shops Financing Global Jihad— At least 2,000 European jihadists — many from Spain — have now travelled to Syria in the hopes of replacing the Assad regime with an Islamic state governed by Sharia law. “Clearly Spain forms part of the strategic objectives of global jihad. We are not the only ones, but we are in their sights.” — Jorge Fernández Díaz, Minister of the Interior, Spain.

Congressman Pete Hoekstra: Iran Bent on Sponsoring Terrorism During Nuclear Talks— Iran is bound and determined to support Islamic terror, instigate violence in Syria’s civil war, expand its cyber warfare capabilities, and strengthen a nefarious relationship with Russia. All are grave issues that are occurring as Iran negotiates with the West over lifting sanctions in exchange for the Islamic Republic halting its nuclear weapons program. I raised the issue of Iran’s illicit activity in recent testimony before the House Committee on Foreign Affairs last week. The committee’s hearing examined Iran’s role as the world’s leading state-sponsor of terror, and how the Islamist state will not end its global ambitions despite any assurances given to the West.

4--Scripture of the Day Yahweh

Zechariah 14: 1-5

Behold, a day is coming for Yahweh when the spoil taken from you will be divided among you. For I will gather all the nations against Jerusalem to battle, and the city will be captured, the houses plundered, the women ravished and half of the city exiled, but the rest of the people will not be cut off from the city. Then Yahweh will go forth and fight against those nations, as when He fights on a day of battle. In that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, which is in front of Jerusalem on the east; and the Mount of Olives will be split in its middle from east to west by a very large valley, so that half of the mountain will move toward the north and the other half toward the south. You will flee by the valley of My mountains, for the valley of the mountains will reach to Azel; yes, you will flee just as you fled before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Then Yahweh, my God, will come, and all the holy ones with Him!

14--Blessings from Revelation 2

Blessings in the Book of Revelation is a book that you need to read, especially now.  There are blessings throughout the Scriptures but Revelation is the only book in the Bible actually containing a specific blessing for reading it. It’s repeated twice, once at the beginning and again at the end. This is the reason that I believe Revelation should be the first step toward studying biblical prophecy. Though not easy to do, Revelation can be broken down and understood by anyone, not just the academic elite. So, Revelation’s blessings are for everyone.  Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.
