Raheel Raza—The Real Agenda Behind the Push for “Islamophobia”:

Islamists have been successful in building the Islamophobia industry: it diverts attention from activities they would probably prefer not be noticed, such as promoting sharia law in the West, stealth jihad, and a push to implement a global Islamic caliphate, among many others.

What is ironic and hypocritical about the Islamophobia hype from members of the OIC is their double-standards when it comes to minorities in their own lands. Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Egypt, Turkey, Mauritania, Nigeria, Sudan, Bangladesh, Iraq, Kuwait, Syria, the Palestinian Authority and Iran are among OIC members that have appalling human rights violations against minorities.

13--Perspectives 2

#####

Rich Lowry: Brewer’s Foolish Veto—It was jarring to read the coverage of the new “anti-gay bill” passed by the Arizona Legislature and then look up the text of the instantly notorious SB 1062. The bill was roughly 998 pages shorter than much of legislation that passes in Washington, so reading it didn’t take much of a commitment. Clocking in at barely two pages, it was easy to scan for disparaging references to homosexuality, for veiled references to homosexuality, for any references to homosexuality at all. They weren’t there. A headline from The Week declared, “There is nothing Christian about Arizona’s anti-gay bill.” It would be more accurate to say that there was nothing anti-gay about Arizona’s anti-gay bill.

Bridget Johnson: ‘I Call Them Like I See Them’: Brewer Vetoes Denial-of-Service Bill—Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer vetoed this evening a bill that would allow businesses to deny services based on religious grounds, such as a baker refusing to make a wedding cake for a same-sex couple. “I call them like I see them despite the tears or the boos from the crowds,” the Republican governor said as protesters rallied outside her office. Brewer said she met with attorneys, lawmakers and citizens on both sides of the issue after the bill landed on her desk. Those who urged her to veto the bill included former GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney and Arizona GOP Sens. John McCain and Jeff Flake.

David Pollock: Palestinian Hate Speech Comes from Official Sources—Let us distinguish between the Israeli and Palestinian sides on the nature of hate speech and incitement to violence. In Israel, the problem concerns individuals, but this is not authorized by the Israeli government, which is now actively fighting against this phenomenon. On the Palestinian side, however, from President Abbas, to his Cabinet, to the official media, one must note that every day, Palestinian terrorists who perpetrated assaults are considered heroes. This is the official discourse, which works against peace and which encourages violence and terrorism. It is clearly a case of double-talk and mixed messaging, which professes peace and tolerance, while supporting violence and anti-Semitism.

Jerold Auerbach: Why the Peace Talks Are Making Jordan Panic— King Abdullah of Jordan is displaying discernible signs of panic over the future of his kingdom. Dismissing any notion that it might become an “alternative homeland” for Palestinians, he recently declared to high Jordanian officials: “Jordan is Jordan and Palestine is Palestine and nothing but that, not in the past or the future.”

Frank Gaffney Jr.: America’s Provocative Weakness— Among former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld’s many illuminating “rules” is his trenchant observation that “weakness is provocative.”  Indeed, the accelerating instability we see worldwide is, in no small measure, a product of the weakness being communicated at every turn by Barack Obama’s administration.  Worse yet, the steps the President is taking to weaken America further will make it vastly more difficult to contend with the aggression he has invited. In a characteristically brilliant op.ed. article in last Saturday’s Wall Street Journal, Harvard professor Niall Ferguson warned that the United States was engaged in the defense and foreign policy equivalent of the Fed’s bid to begin weaning the economy off of its massive purchases of U.S. T-bills that is known as the “taper” and has roiled world markets and currencies. As Prof. Ferguson puts it: “We are witnessing [a fundamental shift] in the national security strategy of the U.S. – and, like the Fed’s tapering, this one also means big repercussions for the world.”

Victor Davis Hanson: The Limits of Outrage—Don’t step over the line and re-militarize the Rhineland. Absorbing Austria would cross a red line. Breaking up Czechoslovakia is unacceptable. Get out of Poland by the announced deadline. The rest was history. Don’t dare blow up another American military barracks overseas. Don’t even consider another attack on the World Trade Center. Don’t even try blowing up one more American embassy in East Africa. Don’t ever put a hole in a U.S. warship again. The rest was history. President Obama issued yet another one of those sorts of warnings to stop the violence to Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovych just before protesters drove Yanukovych out of office. “There will be consequences if people step over the line,” Obama threatened.

Brandon Marlon: Heartland of the Homeland— For the Jewish People, the ancient tribal territories of Judah, Benjamin, Ephraim, and west Menasheh – a.k.a. “Judea & Samaria” or the “West Bank” – form the very heartland of the homeland. Sadly, ceding these central areas to the Arabs remains a political possibility, and far too many Jews who are disconnected from their history and heritage are yet wholly unaware of what these primary regions of the Land of Israel mean to Jewry collectively.

Louis Rene Beres: A survival imperative – Israel’s nuclear weapons and strategy— Each year, like clockwork, Israel’s enemies advance high-sounding proposals for a nuclear-weapons free-zone in the Middle East. Although, at first hearing, such “Geneva” proposals sound eminently fair and reasonable, in fact, they point to meticulously calculated reconfigurations of regional power that would endanger only Israel. Incontestably, once bereft of its nuclear forces, whether newly-disclosed or still in the metaphoric “basement,” the Jewish State would be left entirely to the tender mercies of its most refractory adversaries. Whether singly or in some combination, these determined foes would then emerge with substantially greater destructive capacities than Israel.

Lt. Col. (ret.) Michael Segall: How Nuclear Talks Help Iran Dominate the Middle East— Iran is seeking to create symmetry in its relations with the United States and to make clear that Iranian power – like American power – extends far beyond its borders. Iran has even dispatched a “battle group” of ships toward the U.S. – consisting of a destroyer and a helicopter-carrying supply ship. The only U.S. policy that had proved successful – the tightening of the sanctions – is now falling apart. Iran’s international legitimacy is on the rebound, while the delegitimization of Israel keeps intensifying. From Iran’s standpoint, the nuclear talks are creating an atmosphere where the economic pressure will subside as Iran gains time to fill in the missing pieces of its nuclear program.

Daniel Cohen and Danielle Levin: SEA: How Real is the Threat?— The threat of cyber terrorism has created the image of a terrorist in a remote, isolated location inflicting major damage by penetrating security or economic systems via cyberspace, and this image has been made especially popular through the activity of the Syrian Electronic Army (SEA). With hackers targeting popular websites, SEA has brought the image to the fore of global threat perceptions. However, SEA has not developed to the point where it can cause irreversible damage. It lacks the required high quality intelligence for cyber operations, along with the necessary large scale personnel, monetary investment, and time to detect vulnerabilities. SEA has succeeded in conducting low scale attacks, which at the right time and place can cause limited damage. However, the image of the isolated terrorist responsible for a catastrophe is not borne out, as cyber terrorism such as waged thus far by SEA is incapable of causing long term sustainable damage.

YouTube ordered to remove film that sparked violence in Middle East

SnyderTalk Comment: The lie that keeps on appearing/giving.  The film had absolutely nothing to do with the violence in the Middle East.  That should be obvious by now to anyone who is paying attention.  The culprits are in the White House and other parts of the Obama administration.  Justice would necessitate their removal from office.  Will justice prevail?  I’m not holding my breath because justice has taken a leave of absence.  It’s been AWOL for 5 years.

4--Scripture of the Day Yahweh

Zechariah 9: 1-4

The burden of the word of Yahweh is against the land of Hadrach, with Damascus as its resting place (for the eyes of men, especially of all the tribes of Israel, are toward Yahweh), and Hamath also, which borders on it; Tyre and Sidon, though they are very wise. For Tyre built herself a fortress and piled up silver like dust, and gold like the mire of the streets. Behold, the Lord will dispossess her and cast her wealth into the sea; and she will be consumed with fire.

  • God also said to Moses, “Say to the Israelites, ‘Yahweh, the God of your fathers—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob—has sent me to you.’ This [Yahweh] is my name forever, the name by which I am to be remembered from generation to generation.” (Exodus 3: 15)
  • “Therefore behold, I am going to make them know—this time I will make them know My power and My might; and they shall know that My name is Yahweh.” (Jeremiah 16: 21)
  • “Behold, the days are coming,” declares Yahweh, “when I will raise up for David a righteous Branch; and He will reign as king and act wisely and do justice and righteousness in the land.  In His days Judah will be saved, and Israel will dwell securely; and this is His name by which He will be called, ‘Yahweh our righteousness.’” (Jeremiah 23: 5-6)

14--Blessings from Revelation 2

Blessings in the Book of Revelation is a book that you need to read, especially now.  There are blessings throughout the Scriptures but Revelation is the only book in the Bible actually containing a specific blessing for reading it. It’s repeated twice, once at the beginning and again at the end. This is the reason that I believe Revelation should be the first step toward studying biblical prophecy. Though not easy to do, Revelation can be broken down and understood by anyone, not just the academic elite. So, Revelation’s blessings are for everyone.  Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.

Other Books by Neil Snyder

  • Stand! is a suspense novel that exposes the lies, corruption, and greed underlying the theory that man-made CO2 emissions are responsible for global warming.  Professor Wes Carlyle and Karen Sterling, his research collaborator, carefully scan the audience for their would-be attacker—a member of the enviro-gestapo who has been following them for days.  Wes spots his man in the back of the room leaning against the wall.  Suddenly, another man in the audience steps forward and moves toward Karen at a menacing pace.  With a vicious stroke, he swings a billy club at her head.  Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.
  • What Will You Do with the Rest of Your Life? deals with a question that every Christian has to consider: what should I do with my life?  Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.
  • Falsely Accused is a true story about a young woman who was accused of committing a double homicide.  It’s about a travesty of justice, and it reveals Yahweh intervening in the life of a believer to rescue her from danger in the face of seemingly insurmountable odds.  Everyone will enjoy the book, but young people in particular need to read it because the mistakes made that led to the problem could have been avoided.  They were the kinds of mistakes that young people are prone to make.  As they say, forewarned is forearmed.  Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.
