Amir Taheri—Clearing the Iranian Nuclear Fog:

Let us clear away some of the fog that surrounds the issue of Iran’s nuclear program.

Begin with President Obama’s ridiculous suggestion, in his address to the UN General Assembly, that a fatwa reportedly issued by “Supreme Guide” Ali Khamenei is a key to solving the standoff.

In the fatwa, the exact text of which remains a mystery, Khamenei claims that nuclear weapons are not allowed in Islam.

There are several problems with this.

To start with, the Koran and the Islamic shariah are silent about nuclear weapons for the simple reason that they were composed centuries before the atom was split. The most any Muslim cleric could do is to express an opinion about such weapons.

When you cut through the fog, these two men are obsessed with the destruction of Israel.  Their compulsion emanates from a source and that source is Satan.

Clifford D. May: Après Putin, le déluge?— Long term, Russia’s prospects look dim.

Yoram Ettinger: Obama at the UN – new or old Middle East?— Peres’ New Middle East gave way to unprecedented terrorism, noncompliance and hate. Will Obama repeat Peres’ errors?

Dore Gold: The holes in Rouhani’s charm offensive— The West will have to see to it that Iran offers tangible concessions and not just empty generalities about its desire for peace.

Giulio Meotti: Two hundred million Europeans See Israel as a Nazi State— The fundamental Zionist idea about anti-Semitism was that once a Jewish State was realized, the problem of anti-Semitism in Paris, Berlin and Rome would be solved. Since Jews would have their own homeland, they could no longer be persecuted as religious and national strangers. But this neat packet of reasoning has turned out to be incorrect.

Avi Issacharoff: The cumulative impact of sporadic West Bank terror— Lone Palestinian killers, who murdered two soldiers in past week, present a nightmare challenge for the security forces — to the delight of Hamas and other extremist groups.

Ilon Ben Zion: Iran puts the UN in unbelievable— Skepticism prevails in the Israeli press after President Hasan Rouhani calls for detente with the West and resolution of the nuclear standoff.

Fareed Zakaria: Can Rouhani or Obama Deliver on any Deal?—Hassan Rouhani wants to end his country’s isolation. But it remains unclear whether he has the authority to act on behalf of his government. Consider what happened Tuesday, when the Iranians turned down a White House offer of a brief meeting with President Obama. Rouhani explained that such steps have to be taken with proper preparation. One has to wonder: If Rouhani does not have the freedom to shake Obama’s hand, does he have the freedom to negotiate a nuclear deal?

David Schenker: What If Insurgents Close the Suez Canal?—Shootings, kidnappings and bombings have become routine occurrences in Sinai and the burgeoning Islamist insurgency is spreading to other parts of Egypt. On Aug. 31, two militants fired rocket-propelled grenades at a Chinese-owned cargo vessel traversing the Suez Canal. Sooner or later the militants will succeed in damaging, disabling or scuttling a ship in the canal, a development with potentially catastrophic implications for Egypt and international commerce. In 2012, more than 17,000 vessels transited the canal.

David Horovitz: Tackle Incitement, Stop the Killing of Israelis—Palestinians are again killing Israelis – an off-duty soldier last Friday, an on-duty soldier on Sunday. We won’t have compromise and viable coexistence with the Palestinians without tackling incitement. Most Israelis have long since come to terms with the fact that there are Palestinians as well as Jews in this land, and that we are all going to have to find a way to somehow live alongside one another. On the Palestinian side, there is no such recognition.

American Freedom Law Center: CAIR — the Largest Muslim Brotherhood-Hamas Front Group in America — is Running a Money Laundering Operation—The largest Muslim Brotherhood-Hamas front group in America is the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR). After three years of litigation in federal court in Washington, D.C., AFLC has uncovered facts demonstrating that CAIR has been running a global criminal money laundering operation out of the nation’s capitol.

4--Scripture of the Day USE THIS ONE

The scripture below is from the New American Standard Bible, and the hyperlinks associated with each word are from Strong’s Concordance for the New American Standard Bible.

Amos 2: 13-14

“Behold, I am weighted down beneath you as a wagon is weighted down when filled with sheaves. Flight will perish from the swift, and the stalwart will not strengthen his power, nor the mighty man save his life.”

  • God also said to Moses, “Say to the Israelites, ‘Yahweh, the God of your fathers—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob—has sent me to you.’ This [Yahweh] is my name forever, the name by which I am to be remembered from generation to generation.” (Exodus 3: 15)
  • “Therefore behold, I am going to make them know—this time I will make them know My power and My might; and they shall know that My name is Yahweh.” (Jeremiah 16: 21)
  • “Behold, the days are coming,” declares Yahweh, “when I will raise up for David a righteous Branch; and He will reign as king and act wisely and do justice and righteousness in the land.  In His days Judah will be saved, and Israel will dwell securely; and this is His name by which He will be called, ‘Yahweh our righteousness.’” (Jeremiah 23: 5-6)
  • Yeshua said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am.” (John 8: 58)

14--Blessings from Revelation 2

Blessings in the Book of Revelation is a book that you need to read, especially now.  There are blessings throughout the Scriptures but Revelation is the only book in the Bible actually containing a specific blessing for reading it. It’s repeated twice, once at the beginning and again at the end. This is the reason that I believe Revelation should be the first step toward studying biblical prophecy. Though not easy to do, Revelation can be broken down and understood by anyone, not just the academic elite. So, Revelation’s blessings are for everyone.  Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.

  • Stand! is a suspense novel that exposes the lies, corruption, and greed underlying the theory that man-made CO2 emissions are responsible for global warming.  Professor Wes Carlyle and Karen Sterling, his research collaborator, carefully scan the audience for their would-be attacker—a member of the enviro-gestapo who has been following them for days.  Wes spots his man in the back of the room leaning against the wall.  Suddenly, another man in the audience steps forward and moves toward Karen at a menacing pace.  With a vicious stroke, he swings a billy club at her head.  Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.
  • What Will You Do with the Rest of Your Life? deals with a question that every Christian has to consider: what should I do with my life?  Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.
  • Falsely Accused is a true story about a young woman who was accused of committing a double homicide.  It’s about a travesty of justice, and it reveals Yahweh intervening in the life of a believer to rescue her from danger in the face of seemingly insurmountable odds.  Everyone will enjoy the book, but young people in particular need to read it because the mistakes made that led to the problem could have been avoided.  They were the kinds of mistakes that young people are prone to make.  As they say, forewarned is forearmed.  Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.
