Israel Hayom—Danon in NY Times op-ed: Annul the Oslo Accords:

Israel should annul the Oslo Accords because the agreement only “brought increased bloodshed,” Deputy Defense Minister and Likud MK Danny Danon wrote over the weekend in an op-ed for The New York Times.

“Despite these efforts, true peace seems as distant as it did before the secret talks in Oslo were revealed to the world. The government of Israel must admit that we made a mistake and declare that the Oslo process has failed,” he wrote.

Rejecting the two-state proposal, Danon called for a “three-state solution,” where any future Palestinian entity would require a “regional agreement involving Jordan and Egypt.”

13--Perspectives 2

#####

Daniel Greenfield: In the Name of Islam— Denial is the first stage of coming to terms with the unthinkable. In Westgate, a Kenyan mall oriented toward expats, terrorists separated Muslims from non-Muslims before killing them. The Muslims were allowed to go free if they could recite a Muslim prayer.

Ray Takeyh: A Kinder, Gentler Iran?—Rouhani’s attempt to refashion Iran’s image and temper its rhetoric should be welcomed. After eight years of Ahmadinejad provocations, a degree of self-restraint is admirable. However, judge Tehran by its conduct and not its words.

Mark Tapson: The Anti-American, Anti-Israel, British Anti-War Movement— When Britain elected recently to stay out of any military involvement in the Syria conflict, the opposition was certainly not limited to the left. But an organization called Stop the War Coalition played a key role in that Parliamentary vote, and as Andrew Gilligan at the Telegraph reported last week, central to the Coalition is a number of groups which support Assad’s regime and oppose any action against it whatsoever – not to spurn the al Qaeda-backed rebels, but to limit American and Zionist influence in Syria and the Middle East.

David Horovitz: Tackle incitement, stop the killings—Two decades after Oslo, Palestinians are still murdering Israelis because they’re still taught we have no place here. If that doesn’t change, nothing else will.

Michael Rubin: Rouhani’s Sincerity Is Extremely Unclear—Iranian President Hassan Rouhani’s sincerity is extremely unclear. As reported by AEI on Sept. 17, Rouhani suggested creating a commission “to pursue spiritual and material compensation” from the U.S. and UK for their role in the 1953 coup against Iranian Prime Minister Mohammad Mosaddeq.

Anthony H. Cordesman: Syria Problem Is Not Going Away—Syria – like Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Lebanon, Tunisia and Yemen – has been destabilized by a mixture of population pressures, weak economic development, authoritarianism, corruption, failed governance, and deep ethnic and sectarian divisions. It will take years for Syria to achieve stability and move along some path toward growth and development.

David Ignatius: Both Opportunity and Peril over Iran— For a weakened but still ambitious President Obama, the biggest foreign-policy opportunity and danger of his presidency rolls into New York next week with the arrival of Iranian leader Hassan Rouhani. The Iranians have been signaling through various channels that they are ready to discuss a broad security framework — one that would limit Iran’s nuclear program short of producing weapons but also recognize the country’s interests in Syria and other parts of the Middle East.

Zvi Mazel: Will Hamas Let the PA Supervise the Gaza-Egypt Border Crossing?—Hamas is now ready to consider what it rejected for so long: setting up a joint administration with the Palestinian Authority at the Rafah crossing into Egypt.

Shane Harris: The Terrorists Everyone Swore Were Beat Just Slaughtered 68 People—As recently as last year, U.S. officials claimed that al Shabab was on the run in the face of an American-backed offensive in Africa.

Paul Greenberg: The foreign policy that was— How sum up the shambles — as far as the eye can see — that remain of American foreign policy after the past few weeks of zigs and zags, of appeals to high principle followed abruptly, even in the same presidential speech, by a headlong abandonment of it? How reconcile this president’s demands for action and then equal but opposite embrace of inaction? There have been enough contradictions in this administration’s shifts and reversals, sidesteps and evasions, advances and retreats to mystify not just friends and foes alike, and neutrals, too, but any observer — and maybe a squad of psychiatrists to boot.

4--Scripture of the Day USE THIS ONE

The scripture below is from the New American Standard Bible, and the hyperlinks associated with each word are from Strong’s Concordance for the New American Standard Bible.

Amos 2: 5-6

“So I will send fire upon Judah and it will consume the citadels of Jerusalem.” Thus says Yahweh, “For three transgressions of Israel and for four I will not revoke its [punishment], because they sell the righteous for money and the needy for a pair of sandals.”

14--Blessings from Revelation 2

Blessings in the Book of Revelation is a book that you need to read, especially now.  There are blessings throughout the Scriptures but Revelation is the only book in the Bible actually containing a specific blessing for reading it. It’s repeated twice, once at the beginning and again at the end. This is the reason that I believe Revelation should be the first step toward studying biblical prophecy. Though not easy to do, Revelation can be broken down and understood by anyone, not just the academic elite. So, Revelation’s blessings are for everyone.  Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.
