Breitbart—Pentagon to Court Martial Those Who Share Christian Faith:

The Pentagon has released a statement confirming that soldiers could be prosecuted for promoting their faith: “Religious proselytization is not permitted within the Department of Defense…Court martials and non-judicial punishments are decided on a case-by-case basis…”.

The statement, released to Fox News, follows a Breitbart News report on Obama administration Pentagon appointees meeting with anti-Christian extremist Mikey Weinstein to develop court-martial procedures to punish Christians in the military who express or share their faith.

4--Scripture of the Day

Daniel 9: 1-3

In the first year of Darius the son of Ahasuerus, of Median descent, who was made king over the kingdom of the Chaldeans—in the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, observed in the books the number of the years which was revealed as the word of the LORD to Jeremiah the prophet for the completion of the desolations of Jerusalem, namely, seventy years. So I gave my attention to the Lord God to seek Him by prayer and supplications, with fasting, sackcloth and ashes.

  • God also said to Moses, “Say to the Israelites, ‘Yahweh, the God of your fathers—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob—has sent me to you.’ This [Yahweh] is my name forever, the name by which I am to be remembered from generation to generation.” (Exodus 3: 15)
  • “Therefore behold, I am going to make them know—this time I will make them know My power and My might; and they shall know that My name is Yahweh.” (Jeremiah 16: 21)
  • “Behold, the days are coming,” declares Yahweh, “when I will raise up for David a righteous Branch; and He will reign as king and act wisely and do justice and righteousness in the land.  In His days Judah will be saved, and Israel will dwell securely; and this is His name by which He will be called, ‘Yahweh our righteousness.’” (Jeremiah 23: 5-6)
  • Yeshua said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am.” (John 8: 58)

13--Perspectives

#####

Arnold Ahlert: Unravelling the Boston Terror Plot—The administration’s “lone-wolf” theory takes one devastating blow after another.

Theodore Shoebat: Dzokhar Tsarnaev — A Hero Amongst Chechens—The glorification by Chechens of the surviving Boston bomber sends a dire warning to the U.S.A.

Ari Lieberman: A Death Cult’s Endgame Unveiled—The words of Palestinian leaders and the genocidal dreams they reveal.

Mona Charen: Muslims Versus Islamists—The Obama administration is quite worried about stereotyping Muslims as violence-prone terrorists. They fear that any acknowledgment that some Muslims commit acts of terror because they are religiously motivated (however twisted the terrorists’ interpretation of Islam may be) is to encourage a backlash of intolerance (at best) and violence (at worst) against Muslim Americans.

Bosch Fawstin: The Muslim World is a World Where The Bad Guy Won—Muslims need to understand that their own religion is at war with them.

Cliff May: Would Shutting Gitmo Satisfy Them, or Whet Their Appetites?— The detention camp at Guantanamo Bay was established in 2002 to hold the most dangerous of those captured in what the Bush administration called the Global War on Terrorism. Controversy over the facility has simmered ever since. In recent days, it has begun to boil. One hundred detainees, at last count, are staging a hunger strike.

Yoram Ettinger: Beware of Arabs selling seaside property— Why would anyone assume that the Arabs shower upon the “infidel” Jewish state something they have never shared among themselves — a long-term comprehensive peace?

David Makovsky: Stalled Arab Peace Initiative Reaffirmed—A few steps can be taken to make the Arab Peace Initiative (API) more effective. 1) Sequencing: For the initiative to work, Israel and the Arab world must each take steps in response to the other, in parallel. 2) Creating more clarity and flexibility in the API’s terms. Given the chaos in Syria, it is hard to believe any Arab leader would expect Israel to withdraw from the Golan – at least not now. 3) A hopeful passage of the API says that if its terms are fulfilled, Arab League states would “consider the Arab-Israeli conflict ended, and enter into a peace agreement with Israel, and provide security for all the states of the region.” It is legitimate to ask Arab states – even those who already have peace agreements with Israel – to discuss with Israel now how it views “security for all states in the region” in the event that Israel accepts the API.

Dror Eydar: An illusion called territory— The conflict is not about territory. The Arab nations have territory in abundance. Israel’s very existence poses a heretical, defiant challenge to the Muslim world, its beliefs and values.

Caroline Glick: Dershowitz and tragedy—There are two main reasons that many leftists who are viscerally supportive of Israel have difficulty understanding and defending the Jewish state today. First, the storyline about Israel is deeply distorted.

Zvi Mazel: Muslim Brotherhood-Hamas Revelations—New revelations throw a startling light on how the Muslim Brotherhood worked hand-in-hand with Hamas during the mass demonstrations that brought about the fall of Hosni Mubarak’s regime. According to Al-Masry Al-Youm, quoting a high-ranking security source, Egyptian homeland security head Khaled Tharwet gave Khairat el-Shater – no. 2 in the Brotherhood’s supreme guidance office – transcripts of five phone calls between Brotherhood members and Hamas leaders intercepted during January 2011.

Gonen Ginat: The imaginary invalid— The sudden epidemic that mysteriously afflicted dozens of train drivers was about as real as the new Arab League land-swap peace initiative.

Dan Margalit: Loose lips— Eventually, Olmert and Dagan will realize the damage their chatter had caused.

Dr. Haim Shine: Deri’s unethical appointment— No other party in the history of Israeli politics has had the number of convicted criminals that Shas has.

Hezi Sternlicht: Losing trust in our finance minister— Lapid can’t be Mr. Nice Guy and Mr. Austerity all at once.

Dan Margalit: Lapid owes us answers— We were told that we needed to cut back or we would end up like Greece, but now the finance minister wants to increase the deficit ceiling. What gives?

Colin Rubenstein: Opposing Radical Islamist Terrorism Is a Moral Duty—The horrific bombing of the Boston Marathon demonstrated that the ”age” of Islamist terrorism against Western civilian targets – heralded by the September 11, 2001, attacks – is not over. The terrorist threat has neither been neutralized nor relegated to the past. Evidence has mounted that lead plotter Tamerlan Tsarnaev was a disciple of radical Islamism. The attack was part of a wider reality of terror motivated by the spread of transnational, violent and radical Islamist ideology.

The Australian Editorial: Universities Tolerating Intolerance—It says a great deal about the illiberal tendencies of parts of our academic community that the anti-Israeli boycott, divestment and sanctions movement – which often borders on the anti-Semitic – finds support in the humanities faculties of some of our universities. If it were not so tragic it would be a hilarious paradox that the University of Sydney’s Centre for Peace and Conflict Studies backs BDS, including preventing academic exchanges. It is difficult to think of an act that is more close-minded or less conciliatory.

Amitai Etzioni: What Drone Critics Get Wrong—Critics claim that, according to international law, force should be used only when terrorists pose an imminent threat. However, because terrorists do not abide by the rules of armed conflicts, which require that combatants identify themselves as such, and not merely reveal their status only when ready to strike, all those who can be reliably identified as terrorists are a legitimate target. Simply because al-Qaeda and its associates hide their status does not mean that they should be accorded better protection.

Yoram Evron: Netanyahu’s Visit to China—Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is scheduled to make an official visit to China in early May 2013. New people are now holding top leadership positions and this will be an opportunity for Israel to meet China’s new leaders. China has been rethinking its Middle Eastern policy since the start of the Arab Spring, which damaged China’s economic interests in the region.

Tracey Greenstein: Israel’s Tourism Is Booming, and for Good Reason—Israel’s tourism is breaking records, with international travel at an all-time high. Visitors have said that Israel has a strong “magnetic pull.” I never understood what this meant until I experienced it myself. On my first day in Israel, after wandering around Tel Aviv for about five hours, I had already found myself completely enamored by everything in front of me. This country sends out a vibration that everyone seems to feel. Maybe it’s the holiness, the history, or the unusual, mysterious beauty; whichever way you look at it, Israel is a destination that simply cannot be missed.

Laura Rosen Cohen: An Oasis of Coexistence in Jerusalem—The Aleh organization in Jerusalem brings comfort and meaning to the most disabled young people on both sides of the Israeli-Palestinian divide. Founded by Israeli Maj.-Gen. (res.) Doron Almog, Aleh is a place where young people with exceptionally complex medical and cognitive challenges can thrive, regardless of their religion, nationality, background or socio-economic status.

Raymond Ibrahim: A Pastor’s Fate Inside the Mullahs’ Archipelago—The vicious torture continues of Saeed Abedini for his crime of refusing to renounce Jesus Christ.

14--Blessings from Revelation

Blessings in the Book of Revelation is a book that you need to read, especially now.  There are blessings throughout the Scriptures but Revelation is the only book in the Bible actually containing a specific blessing for reading it. It’s repeated twice, once at the beginning and again at the end. This is the reason that I believe Revelation should be the first step toward studying biblical prophecy. Though not easy to do, Revelation can be broken down and understood by anyone, not just the academic elite. So, Revelation’s blessings are for everyone.  Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.
