James G. Wiles: Popping Obama’s Balloon—Two obvious trial balloons floated in recent days by Washington-based columnists announcing – sort of – that the Obama Administration intends to de-couple the United States from Israel and adopt a more independent attitude towards the Middle East.

4--Scripture of the Day

Ezekiel 44: 15-19

“But the Levitical priests, the sons of Zadok, who kept charge of My sanctuary when the sons of Israel went astray from Me, shall come near to Me to minister to Me; and they shall stand before Me to offer Me the fat and the blood,” declares Adonai Yahweh. They shall enter My sanctuary; they shall come near to My table to minister to Me and keep My charge. It shall be that when they enter at the gates of the inner court, they shall be clothed with linen garments; and wool shall not be on them while they are ministering in the gates of the inner court and in the house. Linen turbans shall be on their heads and linen undergarments shall be on their loins; they shall not gird themselves with anything which makes them sweat. When they go out into the outer court, into the outer court to the people, they shall put off their garments in which they have been ministering and lay them in the holy chambers; then they shall put on other garments so that they will not transmit holiness to the people with their garments.”

5--HNIY Print form

His Name is Yahweh explains why the Name of God, Yahweh, is so important.  It’s available in eBook format and in paperback.

  • God also said to Moses, “Say to the Israelites, ‘Yahweh, the God of your fathers—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob—has sent me to you.’ This [Yahweh] is my name forever, the name by which I am to be remembered from generation to generation.” (Exodus 3: 15)
  • “Therefore behold, I am going to make them know—this time I will make them know My power and My might; and they shall know that My name is Yahweh.” (Jeremiah 16: 21)
  • “Behold, the days are coming,” declares Yahweh, “when I will raise up for David a righteous Branch; and He will reign as king and act wisely and do justice and righteousness in the land.  In His days Judah will be saved, and Israel will dwell securely; and this is His name by which He will be called, ‘Yahweh our righteousness.’” (Jeremiah 23: 5-6)
  • Yeshua said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am.” (John 8: 58)

13--Perspectives

#####

Lior Akerman: Intelligence Cooperation in Counterterrorism—The events of 9/11 led to a fundamental change in how intelligence organizations perceived their role in the common war against terrorism. This was especially true in the U.S. and Europe. Since then, intelligence ties among the various organizations have gradually improved, as has the transfer of information among them.

Jose Maria Aznar and David Trimble: Don’t Mince Words: Hizbullah Are Terrorists— Hizbullah is not just a Lebanese militia group and political party. It is the long arm of Iran. From its inception by Tehran in 1982, it has been committed to the revolutionary goals of the international expansion of Shia Islam, as dreamt of by the Ayatollah Khomeini.

Caroline Glick: Britain Is No Place for Jews—Since I came home from London, subsequent events have borne out my dim assessment of England, and done so at break-neck pace. As one of Britain’s great righteous gentiles Douglas Murray wrote in an essay published yesterday by the Gatestone Institute, England is no longer even trying to hide its anti-Semitism. At this point, to live well in the kingdom, Jews are required to accept or at least express minimal objection to the dominant narrative that Israel is the current Nazi Germany.

Gallia Lindenstrauss: “There is a Future” and Turkish-Israeli Relations— The biggest surprise of the latest Israeli parliamentary elections was the electoral success of Yesh Atid (“There is a Future”), which emerged as the new, strong centrist party in Parliament. Yesh Atid’s chair, Yair Lapid, has stressed that he will push to re-launch negotiations between the Israelis and the Palestinians. This in itself is good news for Turkish-Israeli relations, as one of the reasons behind the deterioration of relations was the stall in the peace process. Lapid also said the rupture with Turkey is damaging. This was voiced as one of his criticisms of the previous government.

Benedetta Berti: Israel’s New Government Could Bring Shift in Policy on Arab Spring and Palestinians— Though the power-sharing details of Israel’s new coalition government have yet to be settled, the voter-mandated shift to the center gives centrist political parties much more influence over the course of Israel’s domestic and international policy. Such a shift is a welcome development.Israel’s stance on the Arab Spring and Palestinian conflict under the last government has been characterized by passive entrenchment. Now is the time to focus instead on constructive, proactive policies that move Israeland the region forward.

Clifford D. May: Under fire— Sderot: An Israeli city in Hamas’ crosshairs.

Dr. Haim Shine: Israel’s two-state election— Israel is already divided: central Israel versus the periphery and religious neighborhoods.

Hezi Sternlicht: Why did Fischer bolt?— No matter how you spin it, Fischer’s dramatic early departure is not good news.

Yaakov Ahimeir: A lose-lose for Israel— Regardless of the outcome of the Senate vote on the Hagel appointment, the pro-Israel lobby in Washington lost.

Dan Margalit: The Fischer king— From the outset, Fischer did not plan on getting dragged into the Israeli economy’s political games. Eight years after he began, he’ll resign before the end of his second term.

Col. (res.) Benny Yanai: Democracy, incitement and everything in between— Radical human rights groups are more than happy to wrap themselves in the flag of democracy and pluralism to justify putting Israeli soldiers at risk.

Boaz Bismuth: A message to Morsi— It’s no surprise the Egyptian president decided to take a breather in Berlin. The Tahrir Revolution brought neither bread nor freedom.

Joseph Puder: What’s Next for Israel?—Post-election factions must align to minimize damage from the Obama administration.

Melanie Phillips: Britain’s National Sickness—Liberal Democrat MP David Ward recently compared the persecution of the Jews during the Holocaust with the Jews’ treatment of the Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza. Yet the Palestinian population has more than quadrupled since the rebirth of Israel in 1948, and they have benefited from some of the highest rises in GDP and lowest child mortality ratios in the Middle East.

Leo Rennert: WaPo Tars the IDF—More anti-Israeli propaganda from the Post.

John Cornyn: The Case against Hagel—His confirmation conversion is insincere.

Aaron Klein: Muslim Brotherhood group to ‘connect all U.S. schools.’ Partners with State, Education departments on international initiative— A Muslim Brotherhood-linked organization has partnered with the U.S. Department of Education and the State Department to facilitate an online program aiming to connect all U.S. schools with classrooms abroad by 2016.

Jeffrey S. Wiesenfeld: Taxpayer Funded BDS at CUNY Is Illegitimate, Racist and Anti-Semitic—In my 13 years as a trustee of CUNY, I’ve had plenty of opportunity to observe the intellectual corruption and anti-Semitism of many in America’s academic elite. I hear about it from trustees in colleges and universities across America and it’s become more common at CUNY, with Brooklyn College as an unexpected hotbed…

Richard Landes: Goldberg and the Daniels: Of Sewage Pipes, Lethal Narratives, and DuraJournalism— A recent spat in the blogosphere raises issues worth considering. After Jeffrey Goldberg informed his ample readership that President Obama believed that Israel did not understand its own best interests – a belief that I think it’s safe to say he shares – Lori Lowenthal Marcus quoted Dan Senor tweeting that two American officials had admitted that Obama, via Goldberg, was trying to influence the elections in Israel. In other words, the “Israel” that doesn’t know its own best interests was a reference to Bibi, whom Obama specifically dissed in Goldberg’s account, and reportedly Obama makes these kinds of remarks frequently to those around him.

Tom Blumer: Obama’s Economy: The Excuses Begin—Blame everything, except the government’s policies.

Sally Zelikovsky: Whatever Happened to Private Sex?—Today’s pop culture and university system are working hard turning sex into an open and public endeavor.

Edward Olshaker: Hagel and a Nuclear Iran – Perfect Together—Hagel has argued that any government (even an openly genocidal jihadist regime) possessing nuclear weapons would naturally respond to their new responsibility with common sense, prudence, and sanity.

Georgy Gounev: The Importance of Mali—The dramatic events that shook part of the African continent that not many people care about could have extremely important consequences in the not-so-distant future.

Russ Vaughn: Will Our Rights Be Preserved by Our Sheriffs?—New Mexico sheriffs pledge to honor the Constitution on gun control issues.

Jonathan S. Tobin: Clinton’s Victory Lap Ignores Egypt—Outgoing Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is doing a victory lap around the networks this week, taking bows and basking in the admiration of a largely sycophantic media that agrees with President Obama’s glowing praise of her service. We know his praise, as well as the willingness of many in the press to buy into the notion that her willingness to spend a lot of time on airplanes is the same thing as a record of genuine achievement, is strictly political boilerplate. Clinton was a cipher at Foggy Bottom doing Obama’s bidding and has few, if any, actual successes to her credit along with disasters like Benghazi (for which she inexplicably took full responsibility but not blame). But it’s hard to see how her part in directing America’s involvement in the Arab Spring will be seen by history as anything other than placing her in the ranks of the most incompetent stewards of American foreign policy in the country’s history.

Seth Mandel: The Shameful Attack on Israel from Amnesty International—One of the hallmarks of Israel’s international critics is their tendency to blame Israel for all the bad things that happen when the Jewish state’s enemies try–and fail–to destroy it. Yet it is rarely so perfectly distilled with such righteous indignation as the statement offered by the NGO Amnesty International today. Amnesty International should be thanked for its honesty, but its behavior represents yet another new low for the human rights community. Reacting to the news that Israel would not participate in the UN Human Rights Council’s Universal Periodic Review of all member states’ human rights records, Amnesty released a statement that began: If the Israeli government is not careful, it will ruin an important global human rights process for everybody.

Kirsten Powers: Obama vs. Fox News — behind the White House strategy to delegitimize a news organization—This latest volley from the president is just one in a long line of comments from his White House as part of their campaign to silence any dissent they detect in the press corps. Recently, the White House has kept Fox News off of conference calls dealing with the Benghazi attack, despite Fox News being the only outlet that was regularly reporting on it and despite Fox having top notch foreign policy reporters.

Daniel Greenfield: The American City Is Dying—And why the country will inevitably follow.

Earl Capps: Reining In Obama’s Big Labor Activists—Private companies rejoice at high court’s ruling on the president’s unconstitutional recess appointments.

Paul Hsieh: ‘Carrying a Gun Saved My Life’: Meet Ryan Moore—The type of gun incident most media has no use for.

Thomas Sowell: Whose Welfare?—If there is ever a contest for the law with the most grossly misleading title, the Indian Child Welfare Act of 1978 should be a prime candidate, because the last thing this Act protects is the welfare of Indian children.

Walter E. Williams: Official Lies—Earlier this year, President Barack Obama warned that Social Security checks will be delayed if Congress fails to increase the government’s borrowing authority by raising the debt ceiling. However, there’s an issue with this warning.

14--Blessings from Revelation

Blessings in the Book of Revelation is a book that you need to read, especially now.  There are blessings throughout the Scriptures but Revelation is the only book in the Bible actually containing a specific blessing for reading it. It’s repeated twice, once at the beginning and again at the end. This is the reason that I believe Revelation should be the first step toward studying biblical prophecy. Though not easy to do, Revelation can be broken down and understood by anyone, not just the academic elite. So, Revelation’s blessings are for everyone.  Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.

  • Falsely Accused is a true story about a young woman who was accused of committing a double homicide.  It’s about a travesty of justice, and it reveals Yahweh intervening in the life of a believer to rescue her from danger in the face of seemingly insurmountable odds.  Everyone will enjoy the book, but young people in particular need to read it because the mistakes made that led to the problem could have been avoided.  They were the kinds of mistakes that young people are prone to make.  As they say, forewarned is forearmed.  Click here to order the eBook.  Click here to order the paperback.
