Jeremiah 12: 14-17
Thus says Yahweh concerning all My wicked neighbors who strike at the inheritance with which I have endowed My people Israel, “Behold I am about to uproot them from their land and will uproot the house of Judah from among them. And it will come about that after I have uprooted them, I will again have compassion on them; and I will bring them back, each one to his inheritance and each one to his land. Then if they will really learn the ways of My people, to swear by My name, ‘As Yahweh lives,’ even as they taught My people to swear by Baal, they will be built up in the midst of My people. But if they will not listen, then I will uproot that nation, uproot and destroy it,” declares Yahweh.

Jeremiah 18: 15-16
“For My people have forgotten Me, they burn incense to worthless gods and they have stumbled from their ways, from the ancient paths, to walk in bypaths, not on a highway, to make their land a desolation, an object of perpetual hissing; everyone who passes by it will be astonished and shake his head.”

Falsely Accused is a true story about a young woman who was accused of committing a double homicide. It’s about a travesty of justice, and it reveals Yahweh intervening in the life of a believer to rescue her from danger in the face of seemingly insurmountable odds. Everyone will enjoy the book, but young people in particular need to read it because the mistakes made that led to the problem could have been avoided. They were the kinds of mistakes that young people are prone to make. As they say, forewarned is forearmed.
If you don’t have a Kindle device, you can download Falsely Accused into your computer. The title of the book has a hyperlink. Click on it, and it will take you to the Amazon webpage. In the upper right corner of the webpage, you’ll see a box containing the words “Buy now with 1-click.” Below that you’ll see Available on your PC. You’ll need this for downloading eBooks from Kindle, and the software is free. Next, directly under “Buy now with 1-click,” you see “Deliver to.” The drop down will enable you to select “Kindle for PC” and download it directly into your computer. You can also download it for use with iPads, Sony Reader, and a host of other tablet devices. You’ll need to have an account with Amazon. If you don’t have one already, I recommend it strongly.

We will have to suffer through President Obama and his policies for another year, but that’s all.
President Obama’s “achievements” during his first 3 years in office have been dismal especially given the fact that he had such huge majorities in the House and Senate for the first 2 of those years. What he did “accomplish”—the stimulus package, Obamacare, and finance reform—is problematic to say the least.
Obama’s stimulus package didn’t stimulate. He wasted a healthy portion of the “stimulus money” on individuals and groups that supported his candidacy in 2008; he threw money at green energy companies whose products were little more than pie-in-the-sky-by-and-by ideas with no practical value in the short-term; and he rewarded his union pals lavishly to protect their jobs and give them wage increases that were totally out of line with the private sector of the economy. That may be the way things are done in Chicago, but it’s no way to run a country.
Obamacare is a bust. It was hurriedly stitched together; it was shoved through the Congress and down our throats; it doesn’t address our critical healthcare needs; it’s unconstitutional; and it is so full of holes that exemptions to Obamacare are becoming the norm. Despite being President Obama’s signature piece of legislation, Obamacare is the butt of well-deserved jokes that only the president and his diehard supporters don’t get.
Financial reform is anything but reform. The banking system is in a mess because bankers are uncertain about the futures of their companies if they loan money; most would be borrowers can’t get loans; and those who can get loans have to plow through mountains of paperwork. In a nutshell, our banking system is working about as smoothly as a car motor on a -20 degree day in Minnesota. That means it’s hardly working at all.
While President Obama and his supporters like to point their fingers at George W. Bush and tell us that Obama inherited the worst economy since the Great Depression, his attempts to solve our economic problems have not helped matters. In fact, they have made things worse because he wasted the opportunities he had to make a positive difference, and in the process, he seriously restricted the options available to him and the next president.
President Obama has totally ignored the income and outgo imbalances in Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security—arguably the three biggest contributors to our debt and deficit problems, and he has failed to produce a budget that even comes close to getting our financial house in order. As a result, U.S. bonds have been downgraded by Standard & Poor’s, and the dollar is under attack by countries that are seeking to replace our currency as the global reserve currency. Global economic uncertainty stemming from President Obama’s failures and his inaction is already producing higher interest rates and higher inflation abroad. In due course, those problems will strike our economy like a sledge hammer.
You need to look no further than job creation to see how ineffectual our president has been. Saying that the U.S. economic recovery has been anemic is being kind. It’s been pathetic. At the current rate of job creation, we are staring at a 9% unemployment rate or higher as far as the eye can see despite the fact that President Obama says he spends every waking moment thinking about how to stimulate job creation. If that were true, he wouldn’t have frittered away his golden opportunity to get the U.S. economy moving again with the Recovery Act of 2009.
On top of everything else, through his regulatory agencies President Obama has stifled domestic energy production at a time when global demand for energy is exploding. Even though the U.S. has enough coal, oil, and natural gas to meet our energy needs for hundreds of years, we are a net importer of energy. We could be a net exporter of energy producing tax revenue that would help to balance our budget, reducing the cost of energy in the U.S., and stimulating job creation. Still the president stubbornly refuses to consider the possibility that he is wrong even though mountains of hard evidence tell us that he is.
As the old saying goes, actions speak louder than words, but President Obama is long on words and short on actions. Two terms coined by his supporters to describe his so-called “strategy”—dithering and leading from behind—do little to hide the fact that as president he has been a failure at home and abroad. From Wall Street to Main Street and from Europe to the Middle East, President Obama has done more harm to this country than any president in recent memory—including Richard Nixon. At this time, there is no way to calculate the damage he has done, but one day the chickens will come home to roost. I can already hear them clucking. We will have to suffer through President Obama and his policies for another year, but that’s all. In 2012, we have a chance to make a change.

Joel 3: 17-21
Then you will know that I am Yahweh your God, dwelling in Zion, My holy mountain. So Jerusalem will be holy, and strangers will pass through it no more. And in that day the mountains will drip with sweet wine, and the hills will flow with milk, and all the brooks of Judah will flow with water; and a spring will go out from the house of Yahweh to water the valley of Shittim. Egypt will become a waste, and Edom will become a desolate wilderness, because of the violence done to the sons of Judah, in whose land they have shed innocent blood. But Judah will be inhabited forever and Jerusalem for all generations. And I will avenge their blood which I have not avenged, for Yahweh dwells in Zion.
