Today’s Feature
The Bible says a great deal about seeking God in a manner that will glorify His Name and be rewarded. Below are a few examples:
- “Oh give thanks to Yahweh, call upon His Name; make known His deeds among the peoples. Sing to Him, sing praises to Him; speak of all His wonders. Glory in His holy Name; let the heart of those who seek Yahweh be glad. Seek Yahweh and His strength; seek His face continually.” (1 Chronicles 16: 8-11)
- “…for Yahweh searches all hearts, and understands every intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will let you find Him; but if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever.” (1 Chronicles 28: 9)
- “If…My people who are called by My Name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7: 14)
- “Yahweh is with you when you are with Him. And if you seek Him, He will let you find Him; but if you forsake Him, He will forsake you.” (2 Chronicles 15: 2)
- “And those who know Your Name will put their trust (faith) in You, for You, O Yahweh, have not forsaken those who seek you.” (Psalm 9: 10)
- “Let all those who seek You rejoice and be glad in You; let those who love Your salvation say continually, ‘Yahweh be magnified!’” (Psalm 40: 16)
- “How blessed are those who observe His testimonies, who seek Him with all their heart.” (Psalm 119: 2)
From these verses, it should be clear that seeking Yahweh the way He desires is not a once-in-a-while thing. It most assuredly is not something we are supposed to do only on the Sabbath day. We are instructed to seek Yahweh continually with all our heart and all our soul. Continually means all the time—literally all day every day. Yahweh should always be on our minds, and never far from the front of our minds. That is what seeking Yahweh means, and when we seek Him that way He will let us find Him. If you find yourself constantly thinking about Yahweh, rejoice. He will honor you for it, because that is exactly what He desires.

SnyderTalk® Commentary
Ali Asghar Soltanieh, right, the Iranian Ambassador to the IAEA
“We’re off to a good start.” That’s what Mohamed ElBaradei, director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency, said about the nuclear talks getting underway in Vienna between Iran, the U.S., Russia, and France. This is my take on it. If getting off to a good start means sitting patiently and smiling while Iran’s functionaries blow smoke and threaten, then Mr. ElBaradei is hallucinating.
Iranian leaders are notoriously duplicitous, conniving, and wholly untrustworthy. Pretending otherwise as they move expeditiously to develop weapons grade nuclear fuel is idiotic. A nuclear-armed Iran would be dangerous and totally unacceptable even if its president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, hadn’t threatened one of its neighbors with annihilation, but he did and he meant it. Lest there be any doubt about his intentions, Mr. Ahmadinejad has repeated his threat many times. I suggest that we take him seriously.
Put yourself in Israel’s shoes. While leaders in every nation in the Middle East know about the destabilizing effects a nuclear Iran will have on the region, only Israel can appreciate what it means to be the immediate target of the rogue Iranian regime. From their point of view, an Iran with nuclear weapons and missiles to deliver them is totally out of the question. That’s the message the Iranians need to take away from Vienna.
The Israelis have every right to be concerned. The Gaza War taught them a couple of important lessons. They know they can defend themselves because they are well-trained and quite capable, but look at what is happening now. Israel is being made out to be the aggressor in a war of self-defense by a U.N. that is altogether unreliable and biased against Israel. The Goldstone Report is laughable, yet the world is buying it.
What do you think the world community would say if Israel attacked Iran preemptively to prevent it from having and/or using nuclear weapons? There can be little doubt. Israel would be made out to be the real threat to peace in the Middle East. Nothing could be farther from the truth, but the world community would buy it. The numbskulls at the University of Chicago would probably burn Benyamin Netanyahu in effigy. They may be intelligent on the shore of Lake Michigan, but they’re not smart.
Ironically, France and Russia have as much to fear from a nuclear Iran as Israel does. The Muslim populations in both countries are large and growing rapidly. You can bet that both countries already have indigenous, militant Iranian agents inside their borders—sleeper cells as it were. A nuclear Iran can make life difficult for them by surreptitiously delivering radioactive material and/or atomic weapons to its minions for use in terror attacks. The same is true for China.
This is the bottom line. Eventually, a nuclear Iran will become a serious threat to every nation in the world, not just Israel. Now is the time to deal with Iran, before those nuclear weapons are placed in the nosecones of ICBMs. We don’t need another North Korea. One is more than enough.

There is no way they know what that bill will cost. They are just guessing. In a previous SnyderTalk post from several days ago, I presented an article that dealt with the “projected costs” of legislation like the healthcare bill and the “actual costs.” They aren’t even close. The actual costs always exceed the projected costs by a wide, wide margin. That’s one important reason why I am leery about any legislation that adds to our deficit and to our unfunded liabilities which stand at about $100 trillion as I write this.

Isn’t that a stunt you would expect Hitler’s crowd to use?
