Today’s Feature
The Messiah is the Redeemer and the Savior. He is also Yahweh.
Isaiah 59: 1-2 says, “Behold, Yahweh’s hand is not so short that it cannot save; neither is His ear so dull that it cannot hear. But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hidden His face from you so that He does not hear.”
The Messiah came into our world to die for our sins as our Sacrificial Lamb, to redeem us, and to reconcile us with the Father. He is the One referred to in Isaiah 59: 1 as Yahweh’s Hand and Ear, but in Isaiah 42: 1-9 He is called Yahweh’s Servant:
“Behold, My Servant, whom I uphold; My chosen One in whom My soul delights. I have put My Spirit upon Him; He will bring forth justice to the nations. He will not cry out or raise His Voice, nor make His Voice heard in the street. A bruised reed He will not break and a dimly burning wick He will not extinguish; He will faithfully bring forth justice. He will not be disheartened or crushed until He has established justice in the earth; and the coastlands will wait expectantly for His Law.
Thus says God, Yahweh, who created the heavens and stretched them out, who spread out the earth and its offspring, who gives breath to the people on it and spirit to those who walk in it, I am Yahweh, I have called You in righteousness, I will also hold You by the hand and watch over You, and I will appoint You as a covenant to the people, as a light to the nations, to open blind eyes, to bring out prisoners from the dungeon and those who dwell in darkness from the prison. I am Yahweh, that is My Name; I will not give My glory to another, nor My praise to graven images. Behold, the former things have come to pass, now I declare new things; before they spring forth I proclaim them to You.”
Now take a look at Jeremiah 23: 5-6. I’ve mentioned it before, but you need to see it again here: “’Behold, the days are coming,’ declares Yahweh, ‘when I will raise up for David a righteous Branch; and He will reign as King and act wisely and do justice and righteousness in the land. In His days Judah will be saved, and Israel will dwell securely; and this is His Name by which He will be called, Yahweh our righteousness.’”
There is no doubt that the Bible says the Messiah is Yahweh. If you have problems with it, you need to take it up with the Author. The fact that so many preachers don’t know this is almost inconceivable to me. I have tried to share this information with many of them and with very few exceptions, they look at me as though I’m speaking a language they can’t fathom—languages such as Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic. Since this is the central message of the Scriptures, their ignorance is shocking.

SnyderTalk® Commentary
What an amazing week. Barack Obama wins the Nobel Peace Prize because of what a handful of people in Europe think he might do one day…hopefully. Mahmoud Abbas looks like a squirrel in the highway on the Goldstone Report. At first he goes with the U.S. and Israel. Then Hamas and other Islamist radicals threaten his position, and his life, and he does an abrupt about face. Michael Moore, the great philosopher, is hailed as a hero for explaining capitalism to the masses. Whoever said that fact is stranger than fiction didn’t have any idea how true that statement is. Things are happening quickly…strange things, incredible things.

Now we’re hearing an increase in the decibel level from the man-boy “love” freedom fighters. Who knows what comes next. Maybe it will be the “I love my animals” crowd’s turn to step up to the plate. I wish that statement was way over the top, but I fear that it’s not. From my perspective, Sodom could not have been more wicked.
