The Messiah is the Word of Yahweh—Part 3
Genesis 15: 1 says, “After these things the Word of Yahweh came to Abram in a vision, saying, ‘Do not fear, Abram, I am a shield to you; your reward shall be very great.’” In Genesis 15: 4 we learn that the “Word of Yahweh” told Abraham he would have a son. Then in Genesis 15: 5 the Bible says, “And He (Yahweh or the “Word of Yahweh”?) took him (Abraham) outside and said, ‘Now look toward the heavens, and count the stars, if you are able to count them.’ And then He said to him, ‘So shall your descendants be.’”
Obviously, literal words did not take Abraham outside. Someone took Abraham outside and that Someone was the Person called the “Word of Yahweh.” He is the Messiah. Then in Genesis 15: 6, Yahweh declares Abraham righteous because he had faith in Him, and later in the chapter He ratified the covenant. This fact is essential because it means the Messiah ratified the Old Covenant and the New Covenant. Please do not underestimate the importance of this point.
Now let’s take a look at John 1: 14—“And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.”
I mentioned John 1: 14 in yesterday’s SnyderTalk Commentary in connection with Sukkot. I bring it up again to prove that the Old and New Testaments are consistent on this point. The Messiah is the Word of Yahweh.

SnyderTalk® Commentary
Michael Moore’s latest movie/documentary/moneymaking venture is appropriately titled Capitalism. As you would expect, it denounces the economic system he hopes to take advantage of to beef up his bank account. It’s the same economic system he has spent his entire “professional life” exploiting for his own personal financial gain. Do you think Mr. Moore understands the meaning of the word “hypocrite”? Personally, I think his picture should appear beside that word in the dictionary.
In my mind, the chunky Mr. Moore is a walking, talking, breathing example of Sicko which happens to be the title of another Michael Moore extravaganza. If Moore was serious about our healthcare system as an article in today’s SnyderTalk suggests, it makes sense to me that his first step would be to lose some weight. If he lost 80 pounds, he would still be overweight, but at least he wouldn’t look like a rotund ne’er-do-well and serious people might pay more attention to him. As it is, he has a cult following that’s made of up mostly of the young, naïve, lazy, and foolish. Thankfully, so far every time Mr. Moore has come out with an entrepreneurial undertaking the nation has moved in the opposite direction. Let’s hope that doesn’t change.
Mr. Moore’s first foray into filmmaking resulted in a movie called Roger & Me. It castigated then GM Chairman Roger Smith for trying to get GM’s costs under control following the recession in the early 1980s. The primary focus of the movie was the effect Smith’s efforts had on union workers. The irony is that those workers through their union were primarily responsible for GM’s problems then, and they continue to be GM’s principal problem today. Let’s do Mr. Moore and U.S. taxpayers a favor. Let’s not buy any GM cars and put that dinosaur out of its misery. There are plenty of great cars on the market so you don’t have to buy a GM car.
Michael Moore

For you home gamers, the article above discusses an advanced move in the Palestinian two-step or double cross. The political party Fatah is warning its leader Mahmoud Abbas, a.k.a. Abu Mazen, that he proceeds at his own risk unless their conditions are met. The implication is that he will take a dirt nap if he does anything they don’t like, and they aren’t kidding. If you know how to interpret their remarks and actions, it’s better than The Sopranos.
